Gundog Club Of North Wales

Thank you to the committee of the Yorkshire Gundog Club for the invitation to judge. Thank you to all exhibitors that brought your dogs for me to judge on the day. I had some very nice dogs to go over which I was thankful for having travelled back from Scotland during Storm David!

RETRIEVER (LABRADOR)

PD (1,1)

JD (1) 1.Litherland’s Oakhouse One Night Stand. 15mth chocolate. He was a little unsettled in the ring today however he has a nice kind eye and good length of muzzle. His shoulders are well laid back and he has a good length of upper arm. In good coat with nicely covered otter tail. Neat feet. Moved OK.

PGD (3,2) 1. Ellis’s, Dolwen Jackpot. Yellow dog with lovely head and intelligent expression. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good barrel rib and a level topline with good tail set. Good rear angulation. Hocks well let down and he moved well around the ring.

OD (3,2) 1. Rawlinson & Balshaws SHCH Shanorrell Black Sabbath at Halshimoor. Black dog with lovely masculine head and kind expression. Deep in the brisket. He has a good reach of neck with well set shoulder placement. He has a good length of leg, level topline and good tail set. Well angulated rear with a good turn of stifle. In good coat. Moved with drive around the ring. BOB

PB (3,1) 1. Proctors Acredam Miss Marple of Penkaric. Pale yellow of 7mths. She has a sweet head and good pigment. Brisket developing nicely. Nice front angulations and good turn of stifle. Well covered otter tail. Neat feet. Moved OK. BP. 2. Batemans Sharouns Oops for Joy. Another nice puppy but very unsettled in the ring today. She has a sweet head, good front and rear angulations and has a good double coat.

JB (4,1) Williamsons Sharouns Gladys Friday. Pale yellow of 15mths that really caught my eye. She has a sweet head and a well defined stop and correct eye shape. Good barrel rib and a super double coat and otter tail. Good front and rear angulations. Well turned stifle and well let down hocks. Moved with drive. 2. Rawlinson & Balshaws Halshimoor Wicked at Shanorrell NAF TAF. Another good yellow with a nice head and good length of muzzle and well set ears. She has a good length of neck and good rear angulations. Level topline and well set tail. 3. Longs Baldevs Keep sake

PGB (4,1) 1. Young’s Fourjays Sassy Said It All. Black with broad skull and nice kind eye. Good barrel rib and well developed second thigh. Level topline, good coat with a well covered otter tail. 2. Jones Lembas Tiana at Serenjar . Another black with kind expression, good front angulations and level topline and in good coat.3. Marshalls Kenleap Saltburn Special

OB (8,3) 1. Rawlinson & Balshaws Halshimoor Perfect Pitch at Shanorrell. This yellow bitch has a super sweet head with a kind, melting expression. Good length of neck set into well placed shoulders. Neat feet. Good barrel rib, topline and tailset. Nice turn of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved well. 2. Griffiths Forsywood’s Back to Black at Singrett. Black with a sweet head with well set ears, super front angulations and lovely cat like feet. Nice barrel rib and level topline. 3. Proctors Lejie Sugar Almon at Penkaric.
