Judge: Tracey Jane Anscombe
My sincere thanks to Sunderland & District Canine Society for the kind invitation to judge the Terrier Group at their well-run and friendly show. I was grateful for the opportunity to assess a variety of breeds and was pleased with the overall quality of exhibits presented. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for their entries and sporting attitude throughout, and the stewards for keeping the ring running so efficiently, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable day.

A small entry, with competition confined to the Post Graduate class, but pleasing to find correct breed type and soundness.
1 Portunes St Jimmy at Exayeex JW – A wellbalanced liver dog of correct size and proportions, presenting a clean, flowing outline with a firm, level topline and good depth through the chest. Masculine head with correct planes, good length of muzzle, and expressive eye. His spotting is of good colour and well distributed, enhancing his overall appearance. Strong, straight limbs with tight feet. Moved freely and with purpose, showing excellent reach and drive while maintaining his outline at all times. A sound, typical Dalmatian whose balance and movement earned him Best of Breed and thrilled to hear he went utility group 2.
2 Dalamanti Morning Sunshine – A nicely made dog of pleasing type, showing a balanced outline with attractive, even black spotting. Masculine head with a strong expression, good neck and shoulder placement, and correct topline. moved steadily and true, just not quite matching the winner’s overall strength and finish today. A close decision and a quality exhibit deserving of Reserve Best of Breed.
