Thank you for the invitation to judge at this well-run show. It was a pleasure to officiate, and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. My thanks to the committee and stewards Libby & Joanna for their hard work and warm hospitality.
Dalmatian Puppy 1 Entry
1st Jemblewood Sovereign Stork (Dr L & Mr J Young & Crawford) BPIB
7 month old black spotted dog, up to size but balanced in proportion. Masculine head with good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders and a well sprung rib. Soundly constructed and moved freely with reach and drive, maintaining balance throughout. A pleasing youngster who fully deserved his win today.

1st Salvadorada Happy Go Lucky (Miss N Barnett)
Three year old bitch of pleasing breed type with very attractive black spotting. Feminine head with dark pigment and a soft expression. Held her shape well in profile, standing on tight feet and moving soundly throughout. A happy and confident exhibit.

A very breed typical liver bitch of lovely quality and balance. Feminine throughout with a pleasing neck and well sprung rib. Soundly constructed and moved with true tracking and good drive, maintaining her shape on the move.
2nd Sadiedel's Arab Girl JW (Miss N Pace) RBOB
A very close decision between these two quality exhibits. Another breed-typical black bitch presenting a balanced outline and pleasing overall construction. Moved soundly with good reach and drive; the winner was preferred for profile when in motion.

1st Seasmolt Raspberry Ruffle, Breed: Sealyham Terrier (Mr F & Mrs A Salmon) BPIB
A promising youngster showing good breed type and balance for age. Pleasing head and expression with correct proportions developing well. Good bone and substance with a firm topline and well set tail. Moved soundly and confidently, showing a happy outlook and plenty of promise for the future.

1st Obi Wan Kenobi of Kindergarten at Seasmolt (Imp Hun), Breed: Sealyham Terrier (Mr F & Mrs A Salmon) RBOB
A typical exhibit with correct outline and strong, workmanlike appearance. Well-proportioned throughout with good head qualities and strong forequarters. Well-bodied with adequate rib and substance. Moved steadily and true, maintaining a balanced profile on the move. Just lost a bit of sparkle in the challenge for BOB.
2nd Loreleilee Doe Dandy Dan, Breed: Lakeland Terrier (Miss J Atkin)
A well-constructed exhibit showing clear breed type and a pleasing outline. Unfortunately, very much out of coat today, which detracted from overall presentation, but underlying structure and balance were evident. Moved soundly and covered the ground well.

1st Holbam Midsummer Knight at Ruffmar (ai) JW ShCEx OSW, Breed: Irish Terrier (Miss M Ruffles) BOB
A very typey exhibit presenting a good overall breed picture, Strong but balance throughout with pleasing head and expression holding a good workmanlike outline. Up to size but carried it well with sound construction evident. Move extreme soundly covering the ground freely with reach and drive while maintaining profile.
2nd Lord of The Rings of Taita's Ushabti at Gelodnea, Breed: Sealyham Terrier (Mrs E.l.s & Mr O. Khrenov)
A typical exhibit showing clear breed characteristics and sound underlying construction. Unfortunately, not presented to best advantage on the day, which detracted from the overall impression. Movement was steady.
Airedale Terrier Postgraduate 2 Entries / 1 Absent
1st Muliebrity Purple Princess avec Tonerrier (Mr A Hall) BOB
Quality exhibit and a superb example of the breed, presenting a classic outline with excellent balance, strength and true Airedale character throughout. Feminine and elegant, with a well-proportioned head, keen expression and good reach of neck flowing into well-laid shoulders. Strong topline, good depth of body and well-developed quarters, giving a powerful yet workmanlike appearance. Moved with purpose, covering the ground with reach and drive while maintaining a correct profile. Heavily considered in the Group, and rightly so, just appearing to lose a little enthusiasm on this occasion, but nevertheless a cracking specimen of the breed.
Bull Terrier (Miniature) Open 3 Entries / 1 Absent
1st Oakfayre’s Whiplash Weasel JW (Ms A Thompson) BOB G1
I have had the pleasure of judging this bitch before and was delighted to award her Group 1 on this occasion. A most typical head with almond eye and well-placed ears, which she uses to advantage, displaying that characteristic Miniature Bull Terrier sparkle. Always presented in top condition, with a clean white coat and well-muscled body without being overdone. Moved with enthusiasm around the ring.
2nd Badlesmere Buds of May at Seaquest (Mrs M L Gray) RBOB
A tricoloured bitch with pleasing head qualities and typical expression. Well presented with good substance for size, though longer cast than the winner. Unfortunately tended to drop away at the tail set, which affected her topline. Moved satisfactorily.

1st Fabio Z Meduňkové Stráně (Imp Cze) (Ms Npk & Mr Pe Hoskisson & Hinds) BPIB PG4
A promising youngster showing pleasing breed type and developing well for age. Attractive head with a soft, typical expression and correct proportions. Good body shape with adequate bone and substance. Moved well when going in the direction he chose, showing plenty of character and promise for the future.

A very attractive three-year-old mustard dog who oozed breed type. Well presented, showing good substance and correct overall shape. Typical head with large dark eyes and a soft expression. Well bodied with length of rib to loin and strong hindquarters. Moved soundly, covering the ground with an easy, workmanlike action.

1st Truck Turner (Mrs C & Mr D Bloomfield) BOB BPIB
A smart young dog showing plenty of breed character and confidence for his age. Well-balanced outline with good bone and substance without coarseness. Pleasing head with keen expression, correct ear carriage and dark eye. Good length of neck flowing into a level topline, with well-laid shoulders and developing forechest. Moved freely around the ring with positive drive, maintaining his shape throughout.
2nd Urananus Essence of The Sun at Tiltser (Miss A Witmond)
An eight-month-old puppy of good type and proportions. Nicely shaped head and alert expression, with correct coat texture already evident. Unfortunately movement could not be properly assessed today, which was disappointing as he appears well constructed when standing. Well handled and showing a sweet temperament.

1st Blazingjacks Wonderland (Mrs C & Mr D Bloomfield) RBOB
A workmanlike terrier displaying correct balance and overall breed type. Strong head with good muzzle strength and correct bite. Compact body with firm topline and well-set tail. Adequate angulation front and rear, allowing steady, purposeful movement. Coat of correct texture and presented in good order. An honest exhibit who performed consistently throughout judging.
Norfolk Terrier Puppy 1 Entry
1st Watercroft Sugar On Top (Mrs M Standen) BPIB
A very sweet puppy showing plenty of breed character. Still very much a baby, with development ongoing, particularly in coat growth and texture. Pretty head with pleasing overall balance and a compact frame. Movement still a little loose, as expected at this stage, but she showed a positive attitude and willingness.

1st Raphiggy Dilys She Is A One (Mrs R E Nash) RBOB
A very typical Norfolk showing good substance and bone. Pleasing head and expression, well-carried ears and correct bite. Good shoulder placement and a firm body with strong hindquarters. Movement steady and true both ways. Pushed the winner hard and I am sure her day will come. Well handled and shown to advantage.
2nd Earthtaw Morwenna (Mrs S Towey)
A feminine exhibit with an attractive outline and good proportions. Nice eye and expression with a well-balanced head. Adequate neck leading into a level back and well-set tail. Coat just coming through. Moved soundly and in tune with her handler

An outstanding example of the breed, masculine yet balanced throughout. Excellent head properties with typical expression, strong muzzle and neatly placed ears. Compact body with good ribbing and a short, firm loin. Correct harsh coat and excellent presentation enhanced his outline. Moved soundly with drive and confidence, covering the ground effortlessly while maintaining topline. A quality exhibit.

1st Hammystaff Love Yourself (Mr J D & Mrs S M Hammond) BOB BPIB PG1
An excellent example of the breed and still a puppy, combining strength with femininity. Clean, well-balanced head with correct proportions, dark eye and keen expression. Powerful neck flowing into well-laid shoulders and a strong, level topline. Good spring of rib and well-muscled hindquarters. Moved with drive and purpose, holding her outline throughout. Presented in hard condition and well deserving of her win today.
2nd Wonderstaff This Boy (Mrs K & Mr A Mccafferty)
An attractive black brindle youngster with a balanced outline and good temperament. Nice head shape with clean lines and adequate angulation front and rear. Moved freely and happily around the ring, showing well for his handler. Needs time to strengthen but presents a pleasing overall picture with future potential.

Typical in head with a pleasing expression enhanced by attractive facial markings. Smooth flow of neck into shoulder and spannable rib. Moved out well with reach and drive. A lot to like.
