DOGS of TIBET UK Open Show 6th April 2026

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for the kind invitation to judge at this Show. Although a fairly new Club the organisation and emphasis on exhibitor enjoyment is great to see and a pleasure to be a part of. I would also like to thank my efficient Ring Steward, Jackie, who spent a long day keeping everything running smoothly.

Dogs

JD (3:2) 1st. Lowes CALLOWDALE LUCKY LUCIANO

12 month old black & tan who is balanced, free moving with good bone. His head to muzzle proportions are equal with a broad skull and a defined stop, dark oval eyes, black nose and scissor bite. He is balanced with muscular shoulders, deep chest, straight forelegs and large round feet. His hindquarters are muscular with good angulation and enough feathering for his age. BJIB & Best JR in Show.

PGD (1:0) 1st. Anderson’s BENITO GUARD OF KAJLAS

4 year old heavily coated gold. He has a massive skull, broad head & muzzle with a dark brown eye, defined occiput & strong jaw. He stands on large round feet with straight forelegs, deep chest, spring of ribcage and firm loin. Although he moved soundly I would like a little more out of him on the move.

LD (3:1) 1st. Lowes & Jackson’s CALLOWDALE DRUMMER BOY

2 year old impressive looking black dog who stands true on large round feet with straight forelegs & muscular hindquarters. He is balanced with a strong arched neck, level back and bushy tail. His head is broad with a defined occiput & stop, with dark oval eyes, black nose and strong jaw. He has good bone and substance with a deep chest, level back and good length of rib. His coat is hard in texture and of a good quality. This dog is powerfully built and moves out freely with strong driving action. RBD

2nd Benito Guard of Kajlas 

OD (3:1) 1st. Roberts CH. CALLOWDALE TENZIN NYIMA 

Litter brother of the Limit class. Another impressive powerful looking dog. His neck is muscular and carries a broad, strong head with a defined occiput, dark eyes, broad muzzle & strong scissor bite, all sitting on a strong neck. He has well laid, firm shoulders with a level back, a firm loin, straight forelegs, large round feet, deep chest, moderate spring of rib & well muscled hindquarters. His black coat is thick with a dense mane and well feathered tail & hind legs. He moves soundly with a steady powerful action. BD & BOB.

2nd. Benito Guard of Kajlas

JB (2:1) 1st. Lowes TAMDRIN’S QUNGHAI AT ICEBREAKER

16 month old Black and Tan with attractive head markings, strong skull, good head to muzzle proportions, dark eye and strong jaw. She has good bone, straight forelegs, firm well laid shoulders & well angulated hindquarters. She has a heavy coat and moves around the ring a powerful flowing action.

LB (3:2) 1st. Asquith’s RICHEARON POSO OF BAARNAYOTMS

6 year old black & tan with a broad head of good proportions. She is feminine with a defined occiput & stop, dark eye & strong scissor bite. Her shoulders are well laid and firm with straight forelegs, moderate width of chest & firm body. A little reluctant to move today.

OB (2:0) 1st. Jackson’s CH.CALLOWDALE MIDNIGHT STAR

4 year old impressive black & tan with strong bone & substance all through. She is balanced with a thick heavy coat, mane & well feathered tail. Her head is broad with a strong muzzle, defined occiput, dark brown eyes & strong scissor bite. She has a strong neck, well laid shoulders, good length of ribs & muscular hindquarters. Her movement is sound with a free-flowing action. RBB

2nd. Asquith’s CH. WANGDAK CHERRY OF BAARNAYOTMS 

7 year old black & tan of a smaller size. Her skull is broad with a defined stop, broad square muzzle & strong scissor bite. She has good bone with arched neck, firm well laid shoulders, level back & moderate spring of ribcage. Her straight forelegs stand on round feet with muscular hindquarters. Her movement is light & free flowing.

VB. (2:0) 1st. Lowes CH. CALLOWDALE EASY STREET.

A powerful looking 8 year old black & tan with attractive head markings. She has moderate wrinkling on the head, large skull with a broad square muzzle, defined occiput & stop, dark eyes & scissor bite. Her strong neck is covered by a thick mane. She is well boned with firm well laid shoulders, level back well muscled hindquarters. She moved at a good pace with a free sound action. BB & BVIB. Later went Res Best Veteran in Show.
