Junior Dog 3,1

1. Smith’s Ch Sueacres Catch A Dream JW. 15 months. My notes say “WOW.” This 15-month-old orange sable is quite special. His head is masculine, with an appealing expression from correctly shaped dark eyes. Super dentition and small, well-set ears. Excellent front. Short, compact body, and high-set tail. Correct, moderately angulated hindquarters. His movement was breathtaking. I had never encountered this fabulous young dog before and thought I might be awarding him his first CC, only to be told later he was already a champion! Without hesitation, I was delighted to award him his 4th CC, and BIS without hesitation

2. Ellen’s Klassana That’s My Dream. 15 months. Another super young dog. A lovely orange coat of excellent colour and texture. Scores highly in head and expression. Beautiful eyes set in a balanced head with perfect finish. Neck short, as required. Shoulders well laid. Holds a secure topline and a high-set tail. Well bodied and presented in first-class condition. This was a very close call between two excellent examples of the breed, so naturally he was called in for consideration of the RCC which, after the go-around, I had no hesitation in handing him the smaller green card. I later learned he was a “baby champion” and awaiting his fourth CC for his title which I predict will not be long.

Open 7,1

A wonderful class to judge.

1. Pike & Cater’s Ch Altina’s Georgia On My Mind At Breezelyn. Just over 1 year old. This feminine youngster was new to me but is a young pretender and certainly charismatic. Beautifully presented and conditioned. Lovely for size, shape, and head features. Well-set neck with enough shoulder. Compact body. Super tail set. She is a very confident and purposeful mover and an exemplary show girl. Good harsh outer coat and high-set tail. In an exceptionally competitive class, this girl’s attitude, confidence, and determination made rise above two equally strong challengers. RCC.

2. Robb’s Ch Gleniren All Eyes on Me. Now 4 years. A beautiful champion who never fails to impress. Small and dainty, her pretty feminine head contains expressive dark eyes, small erect ears, and a super tapering muzzle, aiding the desired finish. She has a huge attitude, always giving 100%. Presented in superb coat and condition. This was a difficult decision between two different but equally worthy champions, with the youthful insistence and sharper edge of attitude in the final go-around ultimately influencing the placings.

I admired his balanced outline, short back and well-set tail. Masculine, refined head giving the desired fox-like expression. Small well-placed ears . He moved sound and true in all directions. I was not surprised to learn later he was a Champion and this is clearly is well deserved. Best Veteran In Show.
