1. Dance’s Ch Emem Joyful Sunshine JW. 22 mth old Dachshund (Min Wire-Haired) bitch. Super girl who greatly appealed and such an outgoing personality. Presenting such a lovely outline with slightly arched neck of good length, firm through the topline and tail just right for set and carriage. Feminine head of good proportions, slight arch to skull, very good eye and ear, slight arch to muzzle and scissor bite. Soundly constructed both front and rear and a delight to watch her gaiting from all angles. Good texture to coat and well presented.

2. Webb’s Sh Ch Tenshilling The Wanderer. 5 yr old Pointer bitch. Totally feminine and presenting a very nice outline with long, clean neck, pleasing topline, good depth to brisket, short in the couplings and tail good for both set and carriage. Quality head with moderate breadth to skull, expressive eyes, well defined stop, correct muzzle for the breed and scissor bite. She stands true in front on very good feet and is well muscled all through. When gaiting she was excellent on the go around with lovely self carriage.

Luton CA Puppy Stakes - Sporting (27,11)

1. Sanders Parker’s Heart & Soul JP Nashwa Classicus (Imp Jpn). 9 mth Saluki bitch who was a standout in this class for me. Feminine throughout and presenting a beautifully balanced, elegant outline with neck of good length, firm topline, deep in brisket, ribbing carried well back, correct croup and well feathered tail set on low and of pleasing carriage. Super head and expression, long and narrow as desired, oval shaped eyes of good colour, ears of correct set and scissor bite. Standing well naturally on excellent feet and a delight to watch on the go around.

2. Cooper & Cadmore’s Soletrader Golly Miss Molly. 8 mth old Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) bitch. What an absolute livewire this youngster is! Soundly constructed all through she was so good hands on. Neck of good length, firm level back, ribcage of good length, muscular loin and tail just right for set and carriage. Attractive head and expression with slight dome to skull, excellent eye and ear and correct dentition. She stands true in front and has a very good forechest and when gaiting she was accurate fore and aft and moved out with confident carriage.

3. Sanderson’s Skyeshire Briar Rose with Bremerlad

Luton CA Junior Stakes - Sporting (27,17)

1. Harrison’s Bareve Rocket Man. 14 mth Australian Terrier dog. This youngster excels for type, has strength of bone, presents such a good outline and is certainly rugged in appearance. Slightly arched neck of good length to balance, firm through the topline, well sprung ribbing, muscular loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Quality head with masculine expression, excellent eye and ear, strength to muzzle and correct dentition. On the move he goes so well when viewed in profile and he uses himself to the max. Harsh jacket.

2. Scutcher’s Winsleywood Wicked. 16 mth old yellow Retriever (Labrador) bitch. This girl pleased for type, is well off for bone and presented a very nice outline but obviously still has some maturing to do. Strength to neck, firm level topline, good depth to chest, ribbing well sprung and muscular loin. Feminine headpiece with breadth to skull, expressive eyes, clean through the cheeks and correct dentition. She stands well naturally and went well when viewed in profile. Delightful temperament.

1. Harewell’s Teigan Minnasota. Two very different bitch puppies competed here. My winner was this 6 mth old who pleased for bone and overall type. Neck of good length to balance, topline tad soft right now but she has plenty of time on her side, ribbing carried well back, short loin and tail of correct set. She has a pleasing skull, dark expressive eyes, ears set on high, muzzle of correct length and good dentition. Feet need to tighten. On the move, she went well on the go around and is nice and firm behind, just a little loose in front right now.

2. Twigg’s Riversrock Silver Princess von Teffys. 7 mth old who is well schooled but not quite the bone of winner. Slightly arched neck of good length, firm through the topline, ribcage of good length, short loin and tail pleased for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with correct dentition but not quite eye and overall expression of 1. 1. Topham & Maltas’ Virlees Infatuation. Varied class with three very different exhibits present. The win went to this 2 yr old bitch, scoring in body and construction. Muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm topline, good depth to chest, well sprung ribs which are carried well back, strong loin and tail pleased for set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with breadth to skull, well defined stop, dark expressive eyes and correct dentition but a tad more wrinkle than preferred. Muscular neck, firm straight back, brisket of good depth, excellent ribbing, short strong loin and tail of pleasing carriage. Masculine head which is well proportioned and with a pleasing expression; broad skull, well defined stop, nice dark eyes and scissor bite. 1. Taylor & Taylor-Morris’ Winter Melody I’ll Just Sit and Look Cute at Pelenrise (Imp Pol). Two very nice but quite different bitch pups challenged here. This 10 mth old came out on top and I thought her something quite special and she was a delight hands on. Totally feminine, she is so good for overall type and beautifully balanced. Arched neck of moderate length which flows into well laid shoulders, firm through the topline, ribbed well back, muscular loin, slight slope to croup and tail pleased for set and carriage. Most attractive headpiece which is well proportioned, the best of eyes and ears, defined stop and scissor bite. She stands foot perfect at all times and has super feet. Accurate on the down and back and certainly light on her feet. BOB & Best Puppy. Pleased to see she went on to win the Puppy Group.

2. Rees’ Winter Melody I’m Too Busy Being Pretty at Amical (Imp Pol). Coming up to 10 mths, this girl isn’t quite as forward in development as the winner and didn’t quite show herself off to advantage up against the perfectly schooled winner. Having said that, she shows great promise and in a later AV class she was much more settled and took that class with ease. Balanced in outline with nicely arched neck, firm level back, ribbing developing well for age and tail good for set and carriage. Feminine head but somewhat different to winner; well furred ears which are set on high, defined stop and correct dentition. She stands well naturally and has good feet. Pleasing action and carriage on the go around but winner just had the edge.
