South West Utility Club

I would like to thank the committee of South West Utility club for their kind invitation to

judge not only the breed closest to my heart but several breeds that I have a keen interest in.

Many thanks to my two stewards Tracey Hill & Sarah Pym who kept the day moving at a

steady pace like a well oil machine, And lastly to all the exhibitors who entered their beloved

dogs under me and took my decisions in a sporting way.

BULLDOG

Bulldog Special yearling, No Entries

Bulldog Open (2,0) 1st VOSPER,

BUSTERLEIGH KINDA MAGIC JW SHCEX OSW, 3 year old red & white D. He has a large

impressive head with correct ear placement with good dentition and open nostrils. A solid

dog with everything where it should be, he moves well in all directions with a good roll

keeping a solid topline at all times BOB.

2nd DAVY & CONIBERE,

AVAWORD LILLIE, 7 year old red and white B, she is very well built with a great head and

strong neck with a lovely broad shoulder. A little reluctant on the move today which cost her

the class RBOB.

JAPANESE AKITA INU

Japanese Akita Inu Special yearling No Entries

Japanese Akita Inu Open (1,0) 1st. JOHNSON, JOHNSON & BORISOV,

EIKO GO DARUMA KENSHA (IMP ITA) CW26 CEN W CEN PW. 3 year old red fawn B. A

very feminine head with a great ear set, well placed almond eyes with dark rims. Moved well

around the ring keeping a strong level back at all times and tight curl to the tail. Coat of good

texture with correct Urajiro markings. BOB

LHASA APSO

Lhasa Apso Special Yearling (1,0) 1st ADAM-SLOMKOWSKI,

SKYLAX POWER OF LOVE, 14 month old solid gold B .This young lady has a lovely head

piece with dark oval eyes, a strong well arched neck leading into level topline which she kept

at all times on the move. RBOB

Lhasa Apso open (1,0) 1st, ADAM-SLOMKOWSKI,

ROM/BEL CH SKYLAX ALL OF THE STARS, 3 year old B solid gold. I see now that she is

the mother of the yearling class winner and a lot of the same comments apply to this young

lady, she is of a good size with a correct head with great dentition. Moves as one with

handler at all times keeping a solid topline. Overall a very honest young lady BOB.

MINIATURE SCHNAUZER

Miniature Schnauzer special yearling (1,0) 1st, DEAN,

AMOREVITA DIAMONDS IN SKY, 8 month old black B, correct shape on the stand with

great angles front and rear, presented perfectly. A little bit slow to get going on the move, but

once she got started Oh did she move! A great little puppy who I wish all the best. BP, RBOB

Miniature schnauzer Open (2,1) 1st MOORCROFT

AMOREVITA URANUS JW, 3 year old solid black D, good shape with a great strong head,

lovely oval eyes set well with great eyebrows and moustache to complete the head. Moved

well in all directions and kept his performance in the challenge to win. BOB

SCHNAUZER

Schnauzer special yearling (1,0) MOORE,

ODIVANE BROTHERHOOD OF MAN, 12 months old pepper and salt D. A solid boy with a

pleasing head and a great topline plus a good tailset. He moved freely with a good reach

matched by his rear drive and kept his topline at all times. BOB. I was delighted to see him

go Reserve Best in Show in a top level line up.

Schnauzer open, (1,0) 1st MOORE,

CH FILLIPERS I KID YOU NOT. 3 year old pepper and salt B. Well-built girl who was put off

a bit by a tannoy announcement. On the stand gave a great profile with good breed type. A

great head with correct coat, on the move was a little reluctant today. RBOB

SHAR PEI

Shar pei Open (1,0) 1st, BULL & WARREN,

JOLEROB ONE WAY OF PUTTIN IT AT STARFERRY. 3 year old B. good loose wrinkles on

head but with no exaggeration, good front assembly with correct coat texture. Moved well

with handler BOB

SHIH TZU.

I would like to thank the Shih tzu club of Wales and west counties who sponsored the entry.

Shih tzu puppy (2,0) 1st GEE,

JADOREMY LION OF JUDA, 9 months old black and white D. A solid boy who i have judged

before, he has as masculine head with a wonderful expression mainly to his large round

eyes. Plenty width of jaw with a tilt to his nose. He has a good neck carriage leading to a

solid top line that he keeps on the move and good drive from behind, BP

2nd DIFFEY,

MARHILWAY LITTLE BIT OF EDGE, 9 month old gold & white B. A very pretty young lady

who I think has done all her growing. Lovely round eyes and a slight tilt to her nose. She

gave true movement around the ring holding a level topline with a nice tailset to complete the

picture.

Shih tzu special yearling. (3,0) 1st SMITH,

SNOWSHOES BLACK BETTIE, solid black B 14 months old. She owned the ring as soon as

she walked in, with a typical silhouette on the stand. When she moved she powered around

the ring with great reach and drive and maintained a level topline at all times with a great

tailset. It was a pleasure to award BOB, one I would take home.

2nd, SMITH

RALPHINA ALL ABOUT OTTO AT SHOWSHOES, gold and white D, 12 months. Good head

with pleasing nose placement and a good mouth. Well built male with a good topline and

good tailset not as positive in the rear drive as his kennel mate.

Shih tzu post graduate (3,2) 1st SMITH

FREAKSHOW OPULENCE ABOVE ALL AT SHOWSHOES JW (IMP ESP) 15 month old

brindle and white D. young male who is very flashy and of a good size, he has a solid topline

with an ok tailset. Has good front reach and was put down in perfect condition.

Shih tzu Open (3.0) 1st DIFFEY

CH MARHILWAY EXPLORER THE EDGE, 5 year old B. A very pretty gold and white with

big round eyes and a good mouth, her head is carried proudly on a good neck that leads into

a good shoulder. Solid topline on the move and on the stand. Correct teapot tail RBOB

2nd SULLIVAN

SANTOSHA BLACK CHARM AT JACQUINTA. 3 year old solid black B. A very honest girl

who has a great head which takes an extra look to appreciate, her large eyes melt you. Solid

neck leading to a good topline and tailset to match her head creating balance. Today her

stand in handler was having a hard time getting the best out of her.
