Stockport CS Sunday 15th February Thank you to the exhibitors for accepting me as a stand in judge. I had some very smart dogs to judge , quality and full of type. I very much enjoyed my days judging. WHIPPET (5) A pleasing entry with quality Puppy (3) 1 Jones – Southport Yesterday At Pennybeck NAF, TAF – BP A very promising puppy bitch of lovely breed type. Feminine head with correct length of muzzle and well placed rose ears. Good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders and a firm topline, showing the characteristic arch over the loin.. Balanced angulation fore and aft. Moved freely with light, low action and good drive, holding her outline well. Best Puppy. 2 Kemp – Saraquelle Smooth Criminal Quality youngster with pleasing overall shape and good bone. Masculine head with correct expression. Well angulated quarters and good width of second thigh. Slightly more settled on the move would complete the picture, but showed sound, true movement in profile with adequate reach and drive. 3 Coulter & Craig – Collooney Take On The Devil Junior (3) 1 Jones – Southport Yesterday At Pennybeck NAF, TAF Repeat puppy 2 Kemp – Saraquelle Smooth N Sassy Attractive feminine bitch with a sweet head and good eye. Correct angulation and pleasing quarters. Slightly less positive in front movement today but showed good drive behind and held her shape in profile. 3 Cole – Burglade Bow And Arrow For Whipney Post Graduate (1) 1 Coulter – Collooney Strawberry Wine (Bitch) – BOB Quality bitch who appealed for her overall balance and type. Excellent outline with correct gentle arch over the loin and good length of neck. Feminine head, well filled foreface and good ear carriage. Strong, well muscled quarters with correct second thigh. Moved soundly with free, low action and good extension, maintaining topline and balance throughout. She held her topline well stood and on the move, which ultimately was the deciding factor for BOB Open (1) 1 Blake – Crème Anglaises Too Hot To Handle For Mazargo JW (Imp NLD) Mature, stylish bitch presented in excellent condition. Lovely clean lines and correct proportions. Loved her elegant head with good length and finish. Strong neck into well laid shoulders and firm back. Excellent depth of brisket and well developed hindquarters. Moved soundly and with purpose, demonstrating the characteristic effortless Whippet action. DACHSHUND (MINIATURE SMOOTH HAIRED) Junior (3) 1 Jennings – Jenivon’s Spicebomb – BP Attractive, well-balanced junior bitch of correct outline and proportions. Feminine head with dark, expressive eye and well set ears. Good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders and a firm topline carried correctly over a well-developed ribcage. Correct fore chest and good bone for size. Well angulated hindquarters providing positive drive. Moved soundly with good reach in front and retained her shape on the move. Best Puppy. 2 Blackshaws – Llansansior Do You Want Me Another pleasing bitch of good type. Well proportioned with correct length to height ratio and strong topline. Good depth of chest and adequate fore chest. Slightly less settled in front movement today but balanced overall and sound behind , loved her sassy attitude. 3 Hudson – Sharnphilly Thumbilina At Mutoko Post Graduate (1) 1 Jennings – Jenivon’s Starfinch (Dog) Well-made dog with masculine head and good length of muzzle. Strong neck into well laid shoulders and firm, level topline. Good depth of brisket and well sprung ribs , long keel. Balanced angulation fore and aft. Moved steadily and true both coming and going. Open (1) 1 Jennings – Jenivon’s Miss Marple BOB Mature bitch of excellent breed type. Correct proportions, short loin with firm topline and well-developed fore chest. Good ground clearance. Beautiful head, and expression with correct ear carriage. Strong, muscular hindquarters giving good propulsion. Moved freely and with confidence, good parallel rear movement maintaining balance and outline throughout. DACHSHUND (LONG HAIRED) Junior (1) 1 Barnicott & Pascoe – Fahoogle Minack BOB Charming junior bitch with lovely head and soft expression. Correct length of body with firm topline and well ribbed chest. Ground clearance was good Silky coat of good texture. Balanced angulation and moved soundly especially strong in hocks with good carriage. Post Graduate (1) 1 O’Neil – Ranglewood Pheonix At Donnadach Masculine dog with strong head and good length of neck. Well constructed forequarters and strong loin. Good depth of chest and correct underline. Coat of good quality and presentation. Moved with purpose and soundness. Open (1) 1 O’Neil – Ranglewood Finlaggan At Donnadach Quality mature dog presenting a pleasing overall picture. Would like a bit more neck , outline with correct length and balance. Well ribbed body and strong hindquarters. Coat in good condition, flowing but not obscuring outline. Moved freely and true, covering ground well. BASENJI Open (3) 1 Knowles – Sarawana Dragons Conquest JW (Bitch) Very stylish bitch of excellent breed type. Feminine head with correct wrinkle and dark eye. Elegant neck flowing into well laid shoulders and short, level back. Well curled tail and balanced angulation. Moved with characteristic light, effortless action and good carriage. 2 Grayson – Ch Bushwacker American Hustle At Embeau Quality exhibit with good substance and correct proportions. Strong head and good expression. Soundly constructed and moved well in profile, just preferring the overall refinement Head and finish of winner today. AVNSC HOUND Puppy (3) 1 Whitfield & Roberts – Dandydayo Cowboy And Kisses (Mini Long Dachshund ) Best Puppy AVNSC Well grown puppy dog of correct type. A true mini in size and substance , conical head and lovely expression with correct ear placement. Firm topline and well ribbed body. Balanced angulation and moved freely with confidence for age, with strong , parallel ears. Loved him 2 Dawson – Stubbylee Boom Like That (Borzoi Dog) Elegant youngster with pleasing outline and good length of neck. Well angulated quarters and moved steady but struggling on floor to show his stride Needs time to strengthen but shows promise. 3 Buxton – Cloudside Xena (Mini Wire Dachshund Bitch) Feminine bitch with good harsh coat texture and typical outline. Sound in body proportions. Slightly unsettled on the move today but has correct construction. Liked her Junior (1) 1 Jennings – Melriding True Colours At Jenivon (Smooth Dachshund Bitch) Smart junior of good breed type. Balanced throughout with firm topline and good fore-chest. Lovely head with dark eye , kind expression , liked length to height proportions . Well angulated hindquarters. Moved soundly with good reach and drive Post Graduate (1) 1 Buxton – Hazelglade Harriet (Mini Wire Dachshund Bitch) Compact, well-constructed bitch , such a sweet expression, with correct harsh coat and good furnishings. Strong head and good expression. Firm topline and well ribbed body. Sound mover with good drive. Open (3) 1 Jennings – Ch Marvale Manifesto At Jenivon – BAVNSC Impressive exhibit with excellent breed type and overall balance. Super forechest and deep brisket and long keel. Feminine head, good length of neck and well laid shoulders. Firm topline and strong quarters. Moved with confidence and purpose holding outline to take Best AVNSC. 2 Paterson – Brumblehill Biscuit To Ambiesque (Wirehaired Dachshund ) Well constructed and typical. Good coat texture with feminine head , good furnishings and correct outline. Sound mover, with good ground clearance, strong in rear , showing parallel movement. 3 Dawson – Mischran The Sequel For Stubbylee JW (Borzoi ) Elegant, well balanced dog with good length and outline , long muzzle , small ears , well arched neck , correct topline and well muscled rear , such a shame he slipped on floor . AV HOUND VETERAN 1 Ch Tokaji Moon Over Miami With Mutoko JW ShCEx OSW (Basenji Bitch) – Best Veteran Quality veteran bitch retaining excellent breed type. Feminine head with correct wrinkle and expression. Balanced outline with good carriage. Super neck with good arch sitting well into shoulders Moved soundly and with style, a credit to her years, shown in best musculature. Pleasure to judge , delighted to see she went BVIS. 2 Nash – Tokwe Ginvincible With Mutoko (Ridgeback) Another worthy veteran with pleasing outline and correct tail carriage. Sound and balanced full of substance but still retaining her femininity. Straight front and well developed rear quarters. Moved soundly. 3 Ch Tokaji Klassic Trickster At Sarawana VW HOUND GROUP 1 Jennings – Jenivon’s Miss Marple (Mini Smooth Dachshund Bitch) Showed outstanding breed type and ring presence. Balanced, sound and in excellent condition. Maintained correct outline on the move. Well deserved Group winner. 2 Jennings – Ch Marvale Manifesto At Jenivon – BAVNSC Strong, well constructed exhibit with excellent movement , quality Ch and pushed hard for top honours. 3 Knowles – Sarawana Dragons Conquest JW (Basenji Bitch) Stylish and balanced with excellent carriage and effortless movement. 4 Coulter – Collooney Strawberry Wine (Whippet Bitch) Elegant outline with correct arch and free, sound movement. Holding topline Completed a strong group lineup. HOUND PUPPY GROUP 1 Whitfield & Roberts – Dandydayo Cowboy And Kisses (Mini Long Dachshund Dog) Confident, well constructed puppy with correct proportions, proper mini long and sound movement. Should have a bright future. 2 Bridgeman & Logue – Kingswin Gifted (Beagle Bitch) Attractive youngster with pleasing head and good bone. Good body proportions, strong bone and well developed rear , tail set and held correctly. Moved freely and with enthusiasm. 3 Jones – Southport Yesterday At Pennybeck (Whippet Bitch) Elegant puppy with correct outline. Slightly less mature than those above today. 4 Jennings – Jenivon’s Spicebomb (Mini Smooth Dachshund Bitch) Well made puppy with sound movement and correct proportions, completing a quality lineup.
