City Of Cambridge & County Canine Society

Breed: Rottweiler

Firstly, I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge and for their hospitality throughout the day. This was a new venue for the show, and I must say I was impressed. Ring 1 was of an excellent size with a good, level surface, allowing all exhibits the opportunity to move freely and show to their best advantage. It was also pleasing to find temperaments throughout the entry to be outstanding, with dogs exhibiting the correct, stable disposition expected of the breed.

Junior 2 (1a)

1. Just Ask Qarson O’ shea Jun CH ( imp Swe)

14-month-old male. A very promising youngster with much to admire. Beautiful head displaying correct breed type, with excellent proportions of skull to muzzle. black flews, and correct dentition with a correct bite. Dark, almond-shaped eyes giving the desired keen and intelligent expression. Lovely ear set lying flat to the cheeks and contributing to the overall balance of the head.

Well-developed neck of good length, flowing smoothly into well-laid shoulders, although I would prefer slightly more angulation of the shoulder to complete the picture. Good breadth and depth of chest for his age, with well-sprung ribs. Correct topline, remaining firm both standing and on the move. Strong loin and overall balanced outline.

Good width across the hindquarters with correct hind angulation. Well-muscled throughout, particularly in the upper thighs Would prefer slightly tighter, more compact feet.

On the move, he covered the ground well, good drive from the rear . Always maintained his topline, correct tail carriage.

A quality young male with correct breed type, sound construction, and much future potential. Overall, a lovely example of the breed, and I will watch his show career with great interest.

Post Graduate 3 (1a)

1.Ruiz Ruby Riot

2-year-old female. A lovely female of correct type with excellent construction and a balanced outline. Lovely proportions throughout and well-muscled for her age. She moved with purpose and efficiency, displaying correct coordination between forequarters and hindquarters.

She possesses a broad, well-proportioned head with a clean, dry skull. Her ears are correctly carried, although I would prefer them slightly smaller to further enhance her expression. She has a well-developed muzzle with a level topline, dark flews, and dark almond-shaped eyes, complemented by good fill beneath the eyes, all contributing to a pleasing expression. Her strong, well-arched neck flows smoothly into well-laid shoulders. She stands correctly in front, with strong pasterns and tight feet.

Her body is mature and well developed, with a broad, deep chest, well-sprung ribs and a firm topline, Her hindquarters are powerful and correctly angulated, with broad, muscular upper and lower thighs and strong hocks, enabling excellent drive.

On the move she remained sound and balanced, covering the ground with ease while maintaining her outline.

Presented in excellent condition and handled beautifully.

2. Botlierskop be good to me

2-year-old female. Another lovely female, presented in superb condition and possessing an outstanding temperament. Slightly longer in body and lighter in bone than 1, but a quality exhibit who moved beautifully throughout.

She has a broad, well-proportioned head with a clean, dry skull. Her ears are correctly carried and of the correct size. She has a well-developed muzzle with a level topline, the darkest of flews, correct dentition, and a scissor bite. Her eyes are of good shape, although I would prefer a darker eye colour. Her strong, well-arched neck flows smoothly into well-laid shoulders of correct angulation. Strong, well-muscled forelegs and the tightest of feet complete a sound front assembly. I would prefer a little more fore chest, although the breadth of chest is excellent.

Her hindquarters are powerful and correctly angulated, with broad, muscular upper and lower thighs and strong hocks, enabling excellent drive. She moved beautifully both coming and going, with good reach in front and strong drive from behind. On the move she remained sound and balanced, covering the ground with ease while maintaining her outline. Beautifully handled and shown to advantage. Presented in excellent condition throughout

Open 3 (2a)

1. Rauchigrotts Haus Finesse

2-year-old female. Another lovely female whom I have been watching with interest and one who continues to impress with her overall quality and presence.

She possesses a broad head with a clean, dry skull, showing moderate wrinkling when alert and focused. Her ears are correctly carried, although I would prefer them slightly smaller. She has a well-developed muzzle with a level topline, though I would prefer a little more length to her muzzle to complete the picture. The darkest of flews, correct dentition, and a scissor bite are all in place. Her eyes are the darkest of dark, of correct almond shape, and contribute to her typical expression. Her strong, well-developed neck flows smoothly into well-laid shoulders of correct angulation. I would prefer a little more fore chest, although the breadth of chest is good. Her fore feet could be a little tighter, and she is attractively marked with lovely clean markings.

Her hindquarters are a particular strength—powerful and correctly angulated, with muscular upper and lower thighs and strong hocks, enabling strength and drive. This female's movement is what I particularly admire; she displays power, strength, and drive in abundance. She moved powerfully both coming and going, with good reach in front and strong propulsion from behind.

Unfortunately, today she was a little over-exuberant and bouncy, which prevented her from fully settling and showing herself to best advantage. Nevertheless, she remained sound on the move, covering the ground with ease while maintaining her outline.
