Golden Retrievers

Thank you so much to the Committee at Sunderland & District Canine Society for their kind invitation to judge at their Premier Open Show. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and I was very grateful for the opportunity. I would also like to thank my steward who was efficient and well organised, ensuring the ring ran smoothly. Finally, my thanks go to the exhibitors for bringing along their lovely dogs for my consideration.

Puppy (3 Entries, 2 Absent)

1st MacLeod, Ms A E, GARLINE SCARLET RIBBONS

A 9 month old mid golden girl who was shown in full coat with lovely feathering. She has a sweet, feminine head and kind expression. Her front legs are straight and she stands on excellent, cat like feet. Once settled, she moved out confidently and with purpose. I was pleased to award her Best Puppy in Breed.

Junior (5 Entries, 3 Absent)

1st Wood, Mrs K P, ALIBREN FIRECRACKER AT LEBUINUS

This young girl caught my eye the moment she entered the ring. Only just turned one year old and presented in a beautiful mid golden coat. She has a sweet, feminine head with a gentle, kind expression. Her outline is compact and balanced. She moved with purpose and drive, maintaining a lovely level topline throughout. I loved her and was delighted to award her Best of Breed.

2nd Robinson, Mr M & Mrs LA, BARICIA BELLA D’ORO

An almost 18 month old boy presented in a lovely pale coat. He has a masculine head with a kind expression and is well balanced throughout. His straight forelegs and good rear angulation give him a clean outline. On the move he covered the ground well.

Post Graduate (11 Entries, 4 Absent)

1st Foster, Mr B & Mrs C, AURISTELA GINGER ROGERS JW

A 19 month old girl presented in a lovely coat that complemented her overall appearance. She has a very feminine head with a dark eye. Nicely constructed, she shows balance and quality. Her topline remains level both standing and on the move and she carries a correct tailset that enhances her outline. She moved out with ease and confidence.

2nd Towers & Henderson, Mrs S & Mrs M, BARICIA BELLA D’ORO

A pale boy with a super, expressive head that immediately draws attention. He is well constructed, showing a good front assembly and standing on lovely tight, cat like feet. His balance is evident both front and rear. He holds a level topline with a correct tailset, which he maintained well on the move.

3rd Bell, Mrs F V, HOAALOHA AHYOKA JW

Open (5 Entries, 1 Absent)

1st Allan, Mrs J, HOAALOHA SIMBA

Shown in full coat, this boy presents a masculine head with a soft expression. He has good bone and stands on neat, tight, cat like feet. His outline is balanced and he moved out with drive while maintaining a firm, level topline and a correct tailset.

2nd Foster, Mr B & Mrs C, AURISTELA SINGING HINNIE JW

An elegant girl with a pretty head and soft, feminine expression. She has a lovely reach of neck that flows smoothly into a level topline. She moved out freely while holding both her topline and tail carriage with ease.

3rd Keay, Mrs H, CASTLEGOLDEN CLASSY LADDY
