German Shepherd Dog

P D/B (1)1. Stevens’ Surfstone Summer Solstice Over Ashvens. A smart, well-balanced, and well-boned short-coated bitch of lovely quality. She presents a clean, proportionate head with a dark, expressive eye, correct scissor bite, and alert, well-set ears. She features a correct front with an excellent layback of shoulder and a good return of upper arm. Her topline is straight and firm, creating a highly impressive picture when stacked. Correct tail set and low carriage. On the move, she covers the ground well with a smooth side gait. However, she needs to tighten in rear movement, being a little loose both coming and going, which should improve with maturity. Best Puppy & RBOB.

SY D/B (2)

1st: Seymore’s Sannah Draco. A mature, strong, and well-balanced 12-month-old short-coated male showing excellent quality for his age. He possesses good bone and is well-muscled throughout. Clean, masculine head with a dark, expressive eye, correct ear set, and a perfect scissor bite. He presents a straight, firm topline and a good length of tail with correct set and low carriage. On the move, he covers the ground well with a smooth profile gait, though his hocks could be stronger and firmer at this stage of development.

2nd: Fisher’s Sannah Calisto. Litter sister to the winner and built very much in the same mould. She possesses a good head, expressive eye, and correct ear set. She displays a good reach of neck leading into a correct front, with an excellent layback of shoulder and a good return of upper arm. She is nicely made with strong bone, presenting a good tail set and low carriage. On the move, I would prefer a little more strength in her hocks and slightly more width behind. She was just out-moved by her litter brother today.

O D/B (2,1abs)

1st: Chapmans’ Konatian Baggy Trousers. A masculine, long-coated dark sable dog possessing excellent bone and substance. He has a clean, typical head with a dark, expressive eye, a strong jaw, and a perfect scissor bite. His well-set ears are carried firmly erect. He displays a good reach of neck leading into a well-laid shoulder and a corresponding return of upper arm. He has a good depth of chest and spring of rib, being well-ribbed back with a firm loin and excellent muscle tone throughout. His strong hindquarters are well-angulated with firm, stable hocks. He presents a straight, firm topline alongside a correct tail set and low carriage. He was completely sound tracking coming and going, maintaining a smooth, ground-covering side gait. Pleased to award him BOB.
