Basset Fauve De Bretagne

GD/B (2)

 1. Horn’s Mochras Mahqueen A highly promising 9-month-old bitch who is beautifully balanced, stocky, and full of quality. Head features a correctly shaped, slightly domed skull with a clean, lean muzzle. Delightful, lively expression. Forequarters show excellent, oblique shoulder placement and a well-matched upper arm. Elbows fit neatly against the body, leading to strong forelegs that display the ideal substance and the slight, permitted inward crook of the breed. Front and rear angulations are perfectly balanced. She possesses a broad, level topline and is well-ribbed back with a deep chest. Stern is well set and carried in a true, gentle sabre fashion on the move. Covered in a correct, very harsh, dense coat. Moved with effortless, sound extension. Pleased to award her Best Puppy (BP) & Reserve Best of Breed (RBOB).

2. Horn’s Mochras Marta, A mature 6-year-old bitch of a slightly heavier, robust type. Pleasing head proportions with a dark, expressive eye and low-set, correctly tapered ears that curl inwards. Deep chest with a commendable spring of rib. Well-set stern. Her topline was not quite as firm today as the class winner, tending to dip slightly on the stack. On the move, she lacked the drive and quick, ground-covering agility of the winner, but she remains a high-quality example of the breed.

O D/B (2,1)

1. Betty & Horn’s Mochras Mahjesty. An ultra-feminine bitch of excellent breed type. Possesses a classic head displaying a slightly domed skull, prominent occiput, and an alert, vivacious expression. Jaws are strong with a perfect, complete scissor bite. Well-laid-back shoulders and a matching upper arm yield a neat, well-fitted front assembly. She has a strong, level back and a correctly placed tail. Balanced front and rear angulation allowed for an active, driving side profile. She is just a little untidy coming and going today, but her excellent type and charming, outgoing temperament could not be denied. Best of Breed (BOB).
