Wickford, Basildon & District Canine Society Open Show

Saturday 16th May 2026

Thank you to the Officers and Committee for the invitation to judge several utilities at your very well-run and friendly show, and I must also mention the delicious lunch provided. It was a pleasure to spend the day with you all and the exhibitors who kindly brought their dogs under me. Special thanks to my very capable ring steward Linda Quin, who kept me in line and my ring running very smoothly.

In profile she is sturdy and nearly square, with depth and width to chest, her ribs are well sprung, and her back is strong. She has free flowing movement, however when stacked she tended to over extend at the rear, spoiling her topline. She still did more than enough to win the class, and I was pleased to award her RBOB
