Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society – Forest Edge Arena

I would like to thank the committee for their kind invitation to judge and for their excellent organisation on the day. My thanks also go to the exhibitors for presenting such well-prepared dogs, giving me the opportunity to assess quality exhibits throughout.



German Spitz (Klein)


Puppy

1st – Yanimas Black Lily

11-month-old black bitch of very pleasing type, presenting a typical square outline. Balanced throughout, with a well-developed coat, correct ear carriage, and a pleasing expression. Sufficient angulation fore and aft, enabling sound movement. Showed well and full of character. Best Puppy.



Limit

1st – Claran Edge Of Glory

Two-year-old black dog of excellent type and quality. Pleasing for size, proportion, and balance, with a compact, square outline. Attractive head with dark, expressive eyes. Moved freely and positively both coming and going. A very typical and handsome dog. Best of Breed.


2nd – Smilga Visada Kartu At Yanimas (IMP LTU)

Two-year-old orange sable bitch. Slightly shorter on the leg than the winner, giving a longer outline. Feminine head with pleasing expression. Sound on the move.



Open

1st – Ch Claran Court Your Breath

3½-year-old cream dog of excellent type. Square in outline and well balanced. Sound on the move. On the day, the winner of Limit had the advantage in overall presence. Reserve Best of Breed.



German Spitz (Mittel)


Puppy

1st – Lindcoly Hips Don’t Lie

8-month-old cream bitch. Square outline and balanced throughout. Sound both coming and going. Would prefer more length of neck. Promising.


2nd – Claran Galaxy Quest TAF

Slightly longer cast than the winner. Attractive outline and of quality. Needs to tighten on the move.



Special Yearling

1st – Tispitza’s Midnight Ritual At Fabolym

12-month-old cream dog. Pleasing outline when settled. Correct head, bite, and ear placement. Moved soundly when attentive. Promising. Reserve Best of Breed.


2nd – Lindcoly My Rockafella

18-month-old brown and white particolour dog. Handsome with a strong head and good muzzle. Slightly longer in outline. Moved well.



Open

1st – Ir Ch Lindcoly Mischief Maker

11-year-old black dog in outstanding condition. Excellent coat texture and balance. Soundest mover on the day. A true showman. Best of Breed.


2nd – Tispitza’s Futterwacken

At the upper end of size. Sound mover and well presented.



Miniature Schnauzer


Puppy

1st – Winflash Jumping Jingle

11-month-old black bitch. Correct ear placement and good bite. At the upper end of size, detracting from balance. Moved soundly. Best Puppy.



Special Yearling

1st – Cheantake Especially For Wellingley (IMP FIN)

19-month-old pepper and salt bitch. Very appealing, “as pretty as a picture.” Excellent size, correct ear placement, and good mouth. Sound movement with good side gait. Would prefer a shorter loin. Reserve Best of Breed.



Open

1st – Risepark First Stage JW

Pepper and salt dog, rising two years. Attractive outline with excellent balance. Pleasing head and expression. Sound, free movement. A quality dog. Best of Breed. Delighted to hear he later topped the Utility Group and went Best in Show.


2nd – Xebec Warlock With Daladeez (IMP DEU)

Masculine black dog with good proportions. Moved well when settled; made his handler work hard to maintain control.



Tibetan Spaniel


Special Yearling

1st – Velrok Indian Gold

21-month-old pale gold dog. Handsome with typical head and dark oval eyes. Moved well, maintaining a level topline. Would prefer more length.



Limit

1st – Gianni Itspetticoattayles Among Lillinca

2-year-old gold sable bitch. Pretty head, correct bite. Won on construction, with long ribcage and short loin. Sound movement.


2nd – Malia Mistletoe Memories Mit Madire

Slightly larger. Pleasing head and proportions. Moved well.



Open

1st – Velrok Ringing Gold JW

Nearly 4-year-old sable dog. Typical head and expression. Well constructed throughout and moved soundly. Best of Breed.


2nd – Lillinca Bees Bliss

5½-year-old gold sable bitch. Typical head and expression. Maintained a lovely level topline. Well presented.



Veteran

1st – Tuyet Ever Noble Bodhi Among Madire

9½-year-old black dog. Masculine without coarseness, with excellent expression. Balanced and sound. My notes say “I’d take this one home,” and I would have in a heartbeat. Pushed strongly for top honours. Reserve Best of Breed.


2nd – Yllastel One Last Dance To Lillinca

7½-year-old gold bitch. Very showy, with a feminine head. Maintained a level topline and moved soundly.



Pug


Puppy

1st – Edgwarebury Lady Katherine Eastonite

11-month-old fawn bitch with black mask. Cobby and square, with well-sprung ribs and a short, glossy coat. Moved with correct steady action. Best Puppy & Best of Breed.


2nd – Pigalle Absolute Cherry

8-month-old fawn bitch. Very pretty and typical. Needs to body up. Moved well. Reserve Best of Breed.



Limit

1st – Edgwarebury Lady Katherine Eastonite

Repeat winner.


2nd – Mopszawawa’s Wild Love With Potbelli JW

14-month-old fawn bitch. Pleasing outline and good head. Very exuberant on the move, making control difficult; needs to settle and firm up.
