BRITTANY
O (1,0) 1. MOLTON’S JAYRICNBRITS UNCTIOUS AT BRAEBRITS. 2½ year old bitch. A head of good balance and proportions. A pleasing expression. Angles are typical fore and aft. Moves well. BOB.
IRISH SETTER
PG (3,0) 1. WEBB’S ALOLFRANA WHOLE LOTTA LOVE WITH REDESHKA. 3yr female. Feminine all through. Super eye and expression. Her head is feminine, and good head plains. She has a good lay of shoulder, good ribs and loin. Moves freely and without any deviation. BOB and G4. 2 EVANS & LLOYD-JONES CLONAGEERA HONEY HONEY AT BLODAUGOCH. 3yr old female. A little more upright in shoulder than winner. Good head, moves with ease and that’s what took placing over third. Good hocks. 3 BENTLEY’S ASTLEYVIEW COMING HOME TO PENCLIPPIN.
O (2,0) 1. WEBB & DANKS-KEMISH ALOLFRANA AZZARO BESIDE REDESHKA. 7yr old beautiful expression. Good head plains. Good open nostrils capable of doing the job the setter is bred for. Good front and well angulated. Super ribs and loin. Well angulated. 2 RICHARD’S REDCLYST CAPTAIN KIDD. Not the expression of the winner, and shorter in neck. A Good head plains. Good forechest, not the ribs of winner. Loin OK. Moves well.
AV GUNDOG VETERAN
V (6,2) 1. PROUDLER’S KIMAPA KWARTA KORKI. Orange Roan Cocker bitch. Lovely head and style, with great expression. Moderate neck into well laid shoulders, good depth of forechest and lay of shoulder. Ribs are sprung, loin is short. Rear angulation is adequate. Moves with bustle and drive. 2. DAVIES TRINANT CELTIC CARIAD. Blue Roan cocker. Defined feminine head. Moderate neck into well laid shoulders. Not as animated on the move as the winner. 3 DAVIES TRINANT MINT HUMBUG.
GUNDOG GROUP
(1) STEPHEN’S BRIGHTMEADOW RUMOUR HAS IT JW. Curly Coated Retriever, two year old male. A strong upstanding male, beautiful intelligent expression. He is a confident boy who is handled to advantage. He has a wedge shape head, proportionate to his body size, he has a parallel head and muzzle planes. His neck is medium, stick and slightly arched. He is well laid back in shoulder. He is equal in upper arm and shoulder blade. His chest is deep and well sprung ribs. His movement is effortless and parallel. He is shown in super coat.
(2) BULLOCK’S TRIXHUND SHUT THAT DOOR. English Springer Spaniel. A breed typical head, with a good expression. He has a good length of neck, which lead into well laid shoulders, elbows are set well to the body. He has a deep chest, well sprung ribs, muscular over the loin. Moderate throughout the rear hindquarters. Tail is carried well on the move. Movement is most definitely strictly his own, free and moving straight forward from the shoulder.
(3) CRAIG’S RIONDEL AMADEUS AT ALISMA. Cocker Spaniel. 2 year old dog. A sturdy and sporting male balanced throughout and compact. He has a well-defined head, clean chiselling. Moderate neck into well laid shoulders. Ribs are well sprung, chest is deep. On the move merry bustling action from the rear.
(4) WEBB’S ALOLFRANA WHOLE LOTTA LOVE WITH REDESHKA. Irish Setter.
GUNDOG PUPPY GROUP
(1) MCKEE & EVANS EASTDEW REWRITE THE STARS WITH EMINALA. 11½ month old Yellow Labrador. Beautiful male at just under one year of age. He has a broad skull, clean cut all through. He has an intelligence expression. Neck is clean and strong into well laid shoulders. A good return of upper arm on the move. Feet are a little less compact than I would desire, but I hope they will tighten with age. He has well sprung barrel ribs, a good underline. I was pleased to hear that on Bank Holiday Monday this young man also took Gundog Group 1 at a show at the same venue. Moves freely, covering adequate ground, relatively straight and true fore and aft.
(2) JONES’ CALDEWRIVER TIGER LILLY VIA MUSTWORK. 10 month old female German Wirehaired Pointer. Super youngster full of character. Balanced proportions, skull and muzzle of equal length. Strong neck, into sloping shoulders. Ribs are deep and well sprung. Ribs go well back into a tucked up loin. Movement is smooth, covering plenty of ground, good rear driving hind action. Coat texture is good quality.

AV VULN STK J (3,2) 1. SCOTT, THOMPSON & PENTECOST’S OAKFAYRE’S RED FLAGS. 7 month old Miniature Bull Terrier. Super head and expression , good bite. Good strong long neck into a super front of good slope, with strong elbows that are strong. Well rounded spring of rib and great depth of brisket. On the move he is covering the ground with drive and great thrust, also a degree of some character for his age as well.
AV VULN STK PG (6,3) 1. WATKIN’S BLAMORDER UNLUCKY FOR SOME. Smooth Collie Tricolour. Stylish head, ears are carried relatively well. Sloping shoulders which are well laid back. Her ribs are well sprung, chest deep and fairly broad behind shoulders. Well muscled, and moves with ease. 2 FALLON’S CROFFTYSOFTY BEE YONCE. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. 3. GRIFFITH’S MERCHINETES PADRIG. Welsh Springer Spaniel.

PD (10, 4) 1. FALLON’S SNOWMEADOW UNCLE UGO AT CROFFTYSOFTY. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. 7 months old. A good head and expression. Moves well, and has a good body and coat. 2. BECKSON’S WLANIMU’S MARKED FOR GREATNESS WITH TAMMUX (IMP UKR). Mini Schnauzer. 11month old Black and Silver. A great head with super expression. A moderately long neck into clean well laid shoulders. Moves well, and is shown in fine coat. 3. RUMMING’S RARJO THANE OF FIFE MACDUFF UNDER DRUAVELLA. Portuguese Water Dog.
PB (19,11) 1. EVANS & LLOYD-JONES’ KINNEGANS SWEET HOME AT BLODAUGOCH (IKC). Great Dane. 11month old female. Stylish with the most impressive of heads and expressions. A long neck into well arched and clean shoulders which slope well back. A deep brisket and well sprung ribs, on the move she is effortless and takes your eye all the way round. I was impressed to see that on Bank Holiday Monday at another show at the same venue, she took BPIS and I can totally understand why. A bright future indeed. 2. MCLOUGHLIN’S UNSTOPPABLE COLORS OF THE WIND OF ZANTESCWTCH. Afghan Hound. A raw six month old Afghan Hound, Black and Tan. Super flow, elegance in head, and moves with the typical smooth and springy step that is typical of the breed. 3. PROUDLER’S KIMAPA KUROMI KARROT. Cocker Spaniel.
AV BRCE (17,10) 1. Mrs M Adam-Slomkowski. Lhasa Apso. A beautiful pair of Lhasa’s which are both pretty much identical. Both move together as one, and are presented beautifully. 2. Miss M E Proudler. Cocker Spaniels. 3. Miss M E Proudler. Cocker Spaniel.
AV CH D (5,3) 1. STEPHEN’S CH CHALKSVILLE MADE OF MAGIC FOR BRIGHTMEADOW JW. An outstanding 3 year old German Shepherd Dog. Old Style, and a most pleasing head, with an outstanding topline into well angulated hindquarters. On the move he comes alive, and takes your breath as he goes round that ring. An excellent dog. 2. BEACH & PARTRIDGE CH CARDAXIANS BAMBAM BABY. 2½ year old Miniature Wirehaired Dachshund. Another dog from the top drawer of champions. A beautiful dog that moves well. He has a beautiful head and expression, albeit has tendency to hold his ears a tad high for me. I would like a little better angulation in rear. But he is definitely a worthy champion.
AV CH B (4,3) 1. ADAM-SLOMKOWSKI’S ROM/BEL CH SKYLAX ALL OF THE STARS. Lhasa Apso. 3 year old. Super head and eye. Excellent neck into well laid shoulders. Lovely coat, presented immaculately. On the move she is effortless. A worthy champion, who is very attractive.
