Sampson’s Patouche Tacha - This 4-year-old is a great example of a Brittany; standing square and cobby with a good, rounded ribcage and a lovely topline which is held on the move. A feminine head with the appropriately intelligent yet soft look and good ear carriage with well-shaped ears giving her great character and expression. Moderate stop and correct proportions of skull to muzzle and nice tight lips giving a really pleasing face and head with nothing overdone. Nice length of neck well set into the shoulder and correct angulation both at the front and rear which showed in her balanced movement with a brisk, short stride. Good dense coat of fine hairs with feathering to the fore and hindlegs.

Southorn’s Umika De La Rivière Ouareau (Imp Fra) A 3-year-old orange and white who also had lots to like. She is slightly longer in the body than the BoB but still in proportion. Nice coat of good rich colour with light feathering. Shown in good muscular condition but with slightly less depth of rib. Nicely shaped head and muzzle with good colour of nose and eyes; however, on this occasion, despite nicely shaped and good length ears, the dog appeared to have been spooked by something, and ears were back and not held up. This unsettled behaviour also affected movement with the dog being unbalanced on the move resulting in some crossing in front and an uneven topline which was good when still with an appropriate slight slope from withers to croup.
