Thank you to the Society for the kind invitation to judge Shih Tzu at their popular Open Show, to my very able Steward Carol & to all the Exhibitors who entered under me & accepted their placings with grace. There was a lovely atmosphere around the ring. Its so nice to see Exhibitors supporting & clapping for each other. Thank you all for my lovely entry.

1. Sullivan, Ms J. Jacquinta Moonlight Shadow

This little girl just commands attention, from the moment she came into the ring i couldn't take my eyes off her. Solid black with a gleaming coat you can see her fabulous outline easily, but up close she has a lovely sized head, the darkest & kindest eyes with correct nose placement & length giving her that typical shih tzu expression. Good neck into very well placed shoulders, neat elbows with a very well developed chest & ribcage for her age. She is very well balanced with a great tail set & carriage. On the move she powers around the ring with fabulous front extension and power from behind. Presented in excellent condition. One I'd happily take home!

I was very pleased to award her Best Puppy & thrilled to see her get Group 3.

2. Barrell, Mr T & Miss R. Shenleyvale Behind Orange Eyes

Unlucky to meet my winner today as on any other occasion this little girl would have topped my line-up. At just 10 months she is very well developed. Brindle & White. Presented in lovely condition she has lovely dark eyes, excellent dentition with good jaw giving her a lovely expression. Good neck with well laid back shoulders, neat elbows. A lovely level top-line with good tail set & carriage, she powers around the ring showing clean pads on the move. I liked her a lot.

Wiles, Mrs V. Middletune Girl on Fire

The first outing for this beautiful little girl. At just 6 months she was presented beautifully. Solid gold with a lovely black mask, so very confident for one so young. Up close she has lovely dark eyes, well spaced, excellent nose placement giving her a very feminine expression. She moved very freely & happily with a lovely bond between her & her handler. I look forward to seeing them progress together.

1. Beer, Ms J. Miracey Miss Holly Berry JW

What a pretty girl, just 19 months this gold & white B knows she's lovely! Big dark eyes, correct nose placement & good dentition give her a lovely feminine expression. She is well boned & very well made throughout. She moves very confidently with an air of arrogance. Very pleased to award her RBOB.

2. Wiles, Mrs V. Middletune Chantilly Lace

Beautifully presented solid gold B with a gleaming coat, this little girl is very well balanced. Nice sized head with good nose placement, giving her a lovely expression. Well bodied with excellent tail set and carriage. She moved very confidently. Pretty girl.

1. Yorke, Mrs F. Ch. Middletune Flame Of Gold

You would never believe this little girl is 8 years old, she jumps around like a youngster! Solid gold with a lovely dark mask. I just loved everything about her. So very well balanced from head to tail. Lovely dark well spaced eyes, good nose placement, good strong jawline giving her the typical shih tzu expression. Well placed shoulders, a lovely deep chest, good strong legs, well muscled with a level top-line and great tail carriage. She powers around the ring like she owns it. I was very pleased to award her BOB.

2. Sullivan, Ms J. Santosha Black Charm at Jacquinta

Another lovely solid black B. At 3 years old she was shown in beautiful condition with a gleaming coat. This young lady has the darkest of eyes with a lovely feminine expression. Well laid back shoulders, a good chest and strong legs. She has an excellent top-line that she held on the move. She moved very confidently showing rear pads on the move.
