1. Walker’s - Dexbenella One More Time – 13 month old dog who was well bodied and coated for age. Strong masculine head with good stop and chiselling, kind eye alert and full of nosiness regarding what was going on around him. Clean in neck and throat, straight front. Compact body, firm topline and well angulated fore & aft, well developed hind quarters enabling him to move out with that so typical ESS swinging action. RBOB

Post Graduate 3 (1abs)

1. Weyman - Spuffing Bellini JW - bitch that I have judged and done well for in the past, now fully matured into a lovely girl. Very feminine, well chiselled head, kind expression, good lay of shoulder, well balanced, slightly more compact than 2, and with good angulation fore and aft, in lovely coat & condition, strong quarters, excellent legs & feet. Correct topline maintained whilst on the move which was happy and free flowing. 

2. Taubman’s - Ir JCh Meonstoke Wild Thyme – strong but feminine head, which I actually preferred to that of 1, with lovely eye colour and shape, good length of neck. Well sprung ribs and good angulation fore and aft enabled her to move showing reach & drive although today her mind wasn’t fully on the job in hand.

Open 3 (1abs)

1. Weyman’s - Spuffing Prosecco – mature and very balanced bitch. Pretty feminine head with correct chiselling, appealing eyes and well set long lobular ears, good reach of neck into good shoulders, well made body with well sprung ribs and short strong loin with correct hind angulation. In good coat. Moved out well with both drive and animation increasing and in the final challenge really perked up to push the other class winners hard to gain BOB

2. Taubman’s - Ir Sh Ch Meltarose Madeleine at Meonstoke - mature 6 and a half year old bitch. Up to size but balanced in shape. Pretty head and appealing eyes with lovely arched neck firmly set into shoulders. Good spring of rib, well angulated throughout. Well presented and in good coat. Moved soundly.

1. Hutton-Baber’s - Babtonkelpie Ship Happens – 8 month old beautifully headed bitch with soft but slightly wicked expression. Well boned throughout, but still very feminine, with good front and rear angulation. Well coated and competed the picture by moving happily keeping her topline with an ever wagging tail, she was obviously enjoying her day out. BP. 

2. Warrington’s - Zakova Cracksman – 8 and half month old dog with a pleasing masculine head, nothing coarse, and lovely eyes giving a soft expression. Good length of neck leading to a compact body. Straight front with good angulation fore and aft. Well coated and moved happily and soundly.

3. Norie-Miller - Ryallcourt Rocket Man with Tanrini 

Junior (1)

1. Warrington - Zakova Sandman JW – 17 month old dog with such a typical and clean outline. Masculine head with good eye colour, well set ears, good length to neck leading to a compact body. Well coated in excellent condition. Correctly angulated fore and aft allowing him to move with a happy driving action keeping his topline throughout.

Post Graduate (4)

1. Covington’s - Delightful Hunter Legendary at Silverdust JW - 2 year old dog balanced in shape. Classic well developed head with kind dark eye, good expression, well set ears. Good length to neck, straight front and neat feet, well angled throughout with a strong top line which he kept on the move. Sound in movement, covering the ground with happy driving action. 

2. Hutton-Baber - Babtonkelpie Cop The Lot - 23 month old blue roan bitch who was beautifully balanced in shape with a classic head, square in muzzle and defined stop, well set ears. Clean neck, straight front, good spring of rib and well angled fore and hind. Happy sound mover. Close decision between 1&2 just preferred the eyes of 1.

3. Gregory - Babtonkelpie Trolley Dolly

1. Hutton-Baber - Babtonkelpie Galley Queen JW – bitch that I have judged and done well for in the past (previously RBOB), now fully matured into a lovely girl. My notes say ‘all cocker & all girl’ as she caught my eye straight away. Litter sister to 2 in PG and similar in many ways but more mature.

Lovely feminine head with dark eye and kindly expression. Good length to neck with well laid shoulders, strong and compact in body with good bone throughout and a beautiful silky coat. Well muscled rear with great rear angulation enabling her to move out with drive and animation. Well deserved BOB

2. Clifford - Bel/Hun JCh Wyncastle’s Saint Laurent avec Chamford JW (Imp Hun) - Strong compact dog, solid and well boned throughout, nothing coarse but still with refinement. Loved his head with such a kind expression. Strong neck, well placed shoulders, good spring of rib and in excellent coat. Short coupled and good angulation fore and aft allowing him to move happily and effortlessly on tight feet. Close but RBOB
