Evesham & District Canine Society
Show: Evesham & District Canine Society Premier Open Show
Day: Sunday 12th July 2026
Judge: Mrs. Sandra Lane (Kulawand)
I was pleased to hear that Evesham & District Canine Society had a lot more entries this year. On the day, the weather was forecast to be excessively hot, so quite a lot of people did not attend. However, it was a very windy day which made it much cooler for the dogs but made my stewards’ job far more difficult to handle the paperwork. Fortunately, my stewards were excellent and they kept the classes very organised. I really enjoyed my day at Three Counties; the committee were lovely and the exhibitors received their placings with good grace. I had many exhibitors come to chat with me after I had finished judging to tell me they had enjoyed their day too.
Airedale Terrier
Limit Dog ( 3 entries, 2 abs)
1st Sabin’s Toueroks Little Jewel

Special Yearling (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st Jones’ Wyeafon Red Illusion Dog
A 9-month-old male with a long level flat skull and dark eyes. His body is also long but very balanced with angulation fore and aft. Tail carried erect. He is a super youngster shown in good harsh, straight coat and he should have a very good future. Best Puppy and Best of Breed.
Open (4 entries 2 abs)
1st Jones’ Lazy Lou Von Den Gralien Anfurten At Wyeafon (Imp NLD)
Another quality bitch shown in a full straight coat. She has a balanced head and dark eyes with a good reach of neck, moving well on the move. Reserve BOB
2nd Cox’s Wyeafon Illusion In Ember At Petitpaws
This dark blue and tan bitch was also shown in a full jacket, sporting a well set and straight tail. She is well sprung in rib and her ears are erect. All three were of nice quality today.

Special Yearling
1st Thompson’s & Pentecost Oakfayre’s Risky Business
This young dog is very impressive with a long strong oval head and erect ears of a good size. He has good bone and substance all over, with straight forelegs, and the neatest of feet. He is in impressive condition with excellent muscled hind legs. He was shown in a very white clean coat and he moved out very well. I was pleased to award him Best Puppy in Breed and also Terrier Puppy Group-1. When I spoke to his owner, after judging, I was pleased to learn he has 2 Reserve CC’s. I believe when this dog gains maturity he should have a good future.
Limit
1st Williams’ Tillbach appollo
He is quite a large tricolour dog with a well-muscled body. His head also of an accurate shape and length. He was completely sound on his movement and standing he was very settled, hence he won the Reserve BOB
2nd Hull’s Risibully My Kind of Girl
Standing this bitch was very impressive with an excellent shape and, when standing, she is very balanced. She had well boned legs and well-muscled body and thighs. Her hocks are well let down and she has well arched feet. I thought she would win the class but today she did not move as well as my first place.
Open
1st Thompson’s Pentecost’s Oakfayre’s Whiplash Weasel JW (BOB)
A white bitch with a short flat intense coat. Her head is balanced and she has a good reach of neck onto well-laid shoulders. Another very well-muscled exhibited by this owner, with a good spring of a deep rib. When she came to the end of her movement she stood four square looking up with attractive dominant dark eyes and a very black nose. Pleased to award her BOB.
Fox Terriers Smooth (3 entries, 0 abs)
Special Yearling
1st Brookes’ Zetamaz Devil Made Me Do It
An excellent male with a predominantly white body with tan flat skull. He has very neat and well set/carried ears of a good size and dark eyes. He stands with a very good outline, straight front, good top-line and a correct set on of tail, which he carried correctly upright on the move. An impressive male with a good stride and strong hind action. He looked so good that I thought he may be my Best of Breed today, but then I was wowed by his sister in the following class. Nevertheless, I was very pleased to award him reserve BOB.
Limit
1st Brookes’ Zetamaz Ella Viday
This bitch when presented on the table took my breath away as she has a stunning outline. She has a neat part-black head onto such a very good reach of well-muscled neck into well laid shoulders. Her well boned forelegs are perfectly straight into the neatest of arched feet and she also has a well-sprung rib and excellent quarters with well let down hocks and straight back pasterns. At just about a year she is an excellent mover. When she comes to a stand her ears that are set correctly, fall perfectly forward giving her the alert, keen expression desired in this breed. Her correct head shape was complimented with her dark eyes and nose. Very pleased to award her Best of Breed & Terrier Group-1
Open
1st Brookes’ Zetamaz Candy Man
This young male is also very impressive. His head is very special with a flat skull with a very slight stop. So, with his excellent confirmation it was a tough decision between him and the other two exhibits. He has the required compact body with a well sprung rib and equally balanced hind quarters but was naughty in the ring today. Nevertheless, I am sure, when he is performing better, he could gain top honours.
Irish Terrier (7 entries, 5 abs)
Special Yearling
1st Nolcini Sonorra Festive Berry Two Nolmacdon
At 8-months-old this bitch has a long flat skull and a very good outline with a level top-line. Her front legs are straight and well boned and she has adequate bent stifles. Her paws are very neat and her movement was also very good. Her coat will be better when it grows, over the next few months. Then she will be very attractive. BOB & Best Puppy
Open
1st Miss Ruffles Holbam Midsummer Knight At Ruffmar (AI JW)
I was very pleased to see him when he came into the class. He is quite a large dog, shown in a full coat and has the most correct head, a good reach of neck and well-laid shoulders into a level top-line. He stifles are of a good angulation and he is very well-muscled. Just a little sad not to give him top honours when he just has minor teeth placement. Reserve BOB
Manchester Terriers (3 entries, 2 abs)
Special Yearling
1st Whitwell Cacwn Starling
Only one puppy turned up today. This bitch has a long skull. Her coat was smooth and dense and her angulation fore and aft was balanced. I would just prefer her top-line to be a little less arched but when she matures it may well become more correct. Apart from this everything else seems good for her breed and she moved well; so she gained Best Puppy and Best of Breed.
Norfolk Terriers (7 entries, 2 abs)
Special Yearling
1st Ward’s Littlemount Rasberry Leaf
A red bitch puppy with a very pleasing slightly rounded head and oval dark eyes. Her ears are of medium size. She has a good reach of neck into well-laid shoulders and a good return of upper arm onto well balanced front legs and the neatest of feet. She has a good level top-line and well bent stifles. Overall a very good body covered with an excellent wiry coat. She moved very well indeed for such a youngster. Best Puppy in breed and fourth in the Terrier Puppy Group.
2nd Macartney’s Nordalset Storming In To Ivrig
A young bitch; nearly two years of age with very good angulation fore and aft and a good spring of rib. She was also shown with a very good harsh coat, moving out very well. Very close to the first youngster.
Limit
1st Philip’s Nordalset Brite N Shiny
A 20-month-old female with a good head and a well-made body that is really well sprung in rib. She has a short-coupled body with a good bend of stifle. Her back pasterns are straight when standing on her very neat feet. A well-made impressive bitch who moved out correctly. Shown in very good coat. Please to award her BOB.
2nd Ward’s Littlemount Celyn Y Mor
A 4½ year old male with a neat head, dark eyes and a balanced head with a correct bite and a good foreface. He is also well angulated with a very good bend of stifle but I would just prefer a little more length to his leg. Nevertheless, he moved out well on the day.
Open
1st Makepeace Nordalset Sea And Skies
This male has a very masculine head with the neatest of ears, correct eyes and excellent dark pigmentation. He has a good reach of neck and very balanced front angulation. His top-line is level, ribs well sprung and excellent stifles with the neatest of feet. Unfortunately he was not in his best coat today, so he was awarded reserve Best of Breed.
Skye Terriers (11 entries, 8 abs)
Special Yearling
1st Curtis’ Verumamicus Lord Falcor Of Brakemill
A very impressive young male who has such very good front angulation with an impressive length of neck into very well-laid shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Consequently, his well boned straight front legs are supported well. He is impressive standing with a level top-line, good stifles and he was shown in a super coat. I am sure he will have a very bright future since he is already a very impressive puppy!! Pleased to award him Best Puppy In Breed and 3rd in the Terrier Puppy Group.
2nd Heath’s Skyeshire Princess Ann
This bitch is very much a baby but is extremely well made with excellent angulation fore and aft. She was an absolute joy to go over. She has a long and strong head with a slight stop and an impressive long body with level topline. She also has well boned front legs. Her confirmation is excellent, so all she needs is more time to mature. Then she should be a very striking exhibit!
Open
1st Heath’s Ch Lavauxs Bahamian Chris
Now this male has it all, sound confirmation, super top-line, all the maturity needed as he is just seven years of age. He moved very well and comes to an impressive stance. I was very pleased to award him Best of Breed and Terrier Group-2.
