4th January 2026
Judge; Sandie Tadd
Thank you so much to the lovely Committee for giving me the privilege to judge at their well-run two day show. My thanks go to my fantastic Steward Neil Hood who kept the ring running to perfection all day.
And last but not least you, the exhibitors, as without you there would be no shows, but also for the fantastic breeds you entered under me, of which quite a few of you did so well under the Group judge.
I can only applaud you all and thank you for your entries.
I enjoyed my day immensely. Thank you
Bearded Collie.

1st/ Mitchell’s Beabeardies Grace Kelly an 18 month old very much still a baby but was with a an all female girl with a very expressive eyes, skull broad, flat and square and of good balance throughout, moved well and covered the ground with bold straight movement and good reach.
2nd/ Reynolds Beabeardies Blue Velvet litter mate to one although being very much a boy and giving his handler a bit of a hard time, which was a shame as on standing he was my winner, such a lovely all male head, with the correct head and skull with moderate stop, large square in nose, good muscle in the shoulders which were well laid plenty of hair on legs and feet, nice up turn to the end to his low carried tail when standing, but in movement it all went out the window as he would just not settle.
3rd/ Bevis Beabeardies Blue Monday
Open D/B 2 (0)
1st/ Bevis Beabeardies Cinnamon Girl a 5 year old lass, dam to the three litter mates, and I can see where they get their lovely heads from, this fawn bitch, was good in head which was balanced throughout, scissor bite dark eye, nicely muscled in good length of slightly arched neck, deep chested, good lay of shoulders, on to level topline which was well held throughout, powerful and smooth in her rear movement, with good reach in front, well shaped oval well padded feet with plenty of hair on and between toes, BOB

Puppy D/B 5 (2)
1st/ Milham’s Elystari Million Dreams at just 8 months old b &w very pretty bitch who needs time as she is still much a baby, but even at this tender age had a lovely feminine head consisting of dark eye with a nice width of skull, strong in muzzle even at this tender age, good stop, full back solid pigmentation all through, nice length of neck with slight arch already, tight in elbow, and good well held topline, moved with her head level with shoulders looking as if she was going to get on with the job she was bred for, one to watch for the future I feel. BP.
2nd / Seaborn-Wendland Lucky For You Take My Heart At Noblewolves (imp Hun) b/w 6 months old bitch, another baby but at two months younger than first, it showed in a number of ways including her movement which was not so smooth and she was much more aware of all the noise and shadows on the floor, but in saying that she was good in the head for dark eye, good pigmentation, nice stop and nicely tipped in ears which she used to her advantage, scissor bite. Just needs time.
3rd/ Moussoulos Unleashed Borders Dress To Impress [ATC ATCBC51928CYP]
Junior D/B 4 (2)
1ST/ Hawker’s Taytinja Defying Gravity at 16 months this pretty bitch, my notes say well made throughout, all feminine head with slight rounded skull, strong and square in muzzle, good sized nose, excellent pigmentation in lips, nose and eye lids dark tight eye, decent stop, tipped in ears which she used well, well muscled in neck for one so young still, complete scissor bite, good bone and good lay of shoulders, good depth of chest, and well held topline on move and standing, moved out with purpose using her strong muscled thighs at the rear, tight in oval feet, one of the few here with good length of tail in reaching the hocks, moved with daisy cutting lift of foot. BOB & GRP1
2nd/ Lewis’s Shemella To The Moon And Back 13 months old bitch, three months difference in age but my oh my did these young lady push for the top spot, she’s a much finer bitch all round and not the muscle of first, but had good qualities in the head of first, with dark eye, good pigmentation, decent stop, tipped in ears which again she used well, scissor bite, but not so finished in the head yet but she has plenty of time, she was a little more high in her foot lift than first. RBOB
Post Graduate D/B 4 (2)
1st/ repeat of 2nd in Junior. .
2nd/ Hawker’s Taytinja Shooting Star a 16 month old bitch litter sister to my BOB, and much the same to be said but she is not so mature in muscle or movement, but that said has a lovely feminine head and expressive eyes and very mobile ears, held a good level topline on the move lovely front with good width of chest, tight in feet but little too much lift in feet for me.
Open D/B 5 (3)
1st/ Lewis’s Shemella Moonlight Skye, the Dam to my first in PG and I can see where the good head has come from, at 6 years of age she has matured into a very gentle looking bitch with a lovely eye set and colour, mobile in tipped ear, scissor bite clean in teeth, nice stop, good length of neck with the slight arch good muscles throughout, nice width of chest, and decent bone all through, good tail length, and a decent flow of movement, just could not match the first in Junior in the challenge.
2nd/ Milham’s Elystari Must Be Love JW. A 3 ½ year old B/W smaller bitch with nice head holding tipped ears, dark in eye good pigmentation, scissor bite, tended to stand cow hocked but moved straight going and coming, but not the movement of first for free and smoothness , held a good topline on the move.

1st/ Gatt’s Wicani Belladonna For Bearven, at 15 months this tricolour bitch is of good height and a decent head consisting of one of the sweetish expressions, dark almond shaped eye, small tipped mobile ears, good scissor bite, nice length of neck with slight arch with plenty of muscle, good strong round boned legs, with level topline and the slight rise over the loins, bit short in tail, but a good harsh coat, good movement out and back. BOB.
Post Graduate D/B 2 (0)
1st/ Skinner’s Ladnar Makeithappen For Nikal, at nearly 3 years old this blue merle nice headed boy, with very expressive eyes of correct colour and shape, would have liked more of a blunt wedged head but with very mobile tipped ears and well spaced between them all was in proportion and balanced, clean good sized teeth with scissor bite, well held topline on the move and standing tight in feet and moved well, just could not get by his tail carriage which for me was carried too high over his back on movement, but did drop on standing. RBOB.
2nd/ Gatt’s Imaginist Superior Sun With Bearven, a 2 year old sable male in full coat looking the part but much narrower in all head proportions and although well balanced in the head I would have like less length in muzzle and more width throughout, moved well holding topline, again showing a ‘gay tail’ on the move.
Open D/B 1 (0)
1st/ Howard’s Gib Ch Serenlas Angel Of Casatentola, a 3 ½ year old tricolour, nice well balanced in head with dark eye, good pigmentation, small tipped high set mobile ears which she used to her advantage, nice length of neck with good muscle and arch, nice rise over loins from a level topline well muscled throughout. lost out on movement in the challenge.

1st/ Rixon & Jefford’s Breckamore’s Eye Catcher For Wizzizz, at just 13 months old tricolour with nice smooth balanced head feminine head, solid pigmentated all through, good size of dark well shape eye throwing a very alert intelligent look the breed is known for, nice sized semi erect ears with the desired width at base, scissor bite from clean well sized teeth, strong in neck with nice arch, muscle is coming but she has time, still very much a baby in a lot of ways, held a good topline, good length of tail, but one interesting to watch as she grows on, moved well with smooth long strides. RBOB.
Open D/B 3 (1)
1st/ Seager’s Blamorder Magic Maker With Freejack JW, a tall, sable all male looking boy at 3 years old with a beautiful head consisting of total balance with good clean well blunted wedge, strong black pigmentation, scissor bite from clean teeth, nice size semi erect ear which he used, powerful well muscled neck with well defined arch of a good length, good in angulation all round , level in topline standing and on th move, plenty of muscle in the rear quarters giving him the power needed to take him around the ring, which won him the BOB.
2nd/ Howard & Fort’s Shulune Imperial Inkheart With Casatentola, at just over 2 years old another lovely lad this time a blue merle, decent head with a well balanced head eye colour in tune with coat colour, nice ear set, and scissor bite from clean good sized teeth, not the muscle of first therefore not giving the long powerful stride I was looking for.
But seem to be a slower mature than the first two, just needs time I believe.

1st/ Southron’s Vallonne Magical Trick To Kastobri, at just 6 months this dark fawn lovely headed bitch really held my heart, very well balanced head even at this tender age with a strong muzzle good stop good pigmentation being solid black all round, well open in eye of dark brown, high set in ear well covered, nice scissor bite and solid pigmentated lips, at this tender age not the all through muscle yet but she has time, well fixed double dew claws present on both hind legs which were well fixed on separate pads, she moved really well for one so young. BP.
2nd/ Parry’s Stormymoon Limited Edition, another 6 month old bitch but much the baby of the two but with all the correct attributes of the breed that is needed, with a very nice head with dark eye, high set in ear, good in teeth and pigmentation, moved well and on another day a different way around between the two.
3rd/ Parry’s Stormymoon Is Enough.
Open D/B 4 (1)
1st/ Fieldsend’s Ch Honey I’m Home Moravia Companella At Starwell Cw25 (Cze Imp) Jw, I think everything that can be said about this big strong dark fawn male has been said, such a lovely 2 ½ year old that still, in my opinion still has more to give in his years to come, stunning in head for balance with well open round dark eye, high set in ear, spot on for length being half the length of his head well covered with long hair scissor bite from good clean teeth, total filled in pigmentation around the lips, good length of well muscled neck on to decent shoulders, good room to chest strongly boned throughout, firm in back, strong muscled in rear thighs giving him the power of movement, double well fixed strong dew claws each with separate pads on each rear leg, long tail with nice hook at tip, movement was strong, smooth and covered the ground with ease BOB & Pastoral Group 3 . Well done
2nd/ Wilkinson & Foster’s Fostebrie Black Thunder, a 16 month old black male who is well up on size and holding a very nice head with all the correct attributes with dark good sized gentle eye, and black rims, high set in ear well covered with hair, scissor bite from clean teeth, good length of neck, with arch, all round good bone but not the muscle of first therefore not the strong powerful movement but as with all large breeds I have no doubt it will come as they need time, strong well fixed dew claws present. RBOB.
3rd/ Kass’s Fostebrie I Am Mika At Kimariaz.
Bernese Mountain Dog
Puppy D/B 6 (4)
1st/ Meakin’s Angelrain Everlasting Love, it’s no secret that I have loved and judged this 10 month old bitch before, and all I can say is she gets better every time, with a strong flat skull with good stop, dark brown tight fitting expressive eyes, high set in ears nice triangular shape, scissor bite, with dry mouth, good neck length, leading on to good well placed shoulders and good bone all through, correctly coupled in body, nice dept of chest even at this age, with the desired white cross, broad all through to the hind quarters which are well angulated, good length of leg, short and tight in round feet, follows well through on hind action on movement and covered the ground with ease. One I will watch with interest. BP. & Puppy Group 3 Well done.
2nd/ Watson’s Etterbern Gozan To Stepdashar, an 8 month old male, nice head with good eye colour would like them a bit tighter, but as the head develops they could tighten, good stop, and flat in skull, well set in ears and of a decent size,
Nice scissor bite from tight mouth, not the muscle yet of first, but I am sure it will come, not the movement of first but he is a baby and 2 months age difference can be lot in bigger breeds.
Junior D/B 2 (1)
1st/ Love & Johnson’s Gorsebern Mister Twister, at 14 months old this young boy stood alone but deserve his placing, with a lovely well balanced head with a good ear set and decent eye shape and colour, strong looking boy all through, held a good level topline with correct angulation all round, tight in feet, moved well with the nice follow through required from the back end, needs time to mature on. RBOB.
Post Graduate D/B 1 (0)
1st/ Meakin’s Angelrain Dark Prince, this 22 month old lad really had to work to get this placing against open bitch in the challenge, with a nice eye of correct colour, good stop and clean scissor bite but would like tighter lips although pigment well filled in, well muscled throughout and good length of leg tight in feet of good shaped, decent bone, and good length of leg, would like to see less fly of his tail, but he is a very happy chappie, and went better and more smoothly in the challenge then in his class. BOB.
Open D/B 5 (4)
1st/ Meakin’s Bellatrix Do Monte Dos Ursos (Imp Prt), I have judged this 2 ½ year old bitch and given her top honours as she is so feminine in the head with a very soft dark brown eyes with tight fitting eyelids with the blackest of pigmentation, holding a slight furrow in head, and nicely high set ear, strong in well muscled neck, with good angulation all through, good breath of chest and good depht of brisket reaching to elbow, well held topline and broad in back, I would like her to be a bit more shorter coupled, I think she’s is being stood too stretched and its making her look very long in her body. But she was not a happy girl here today as I have seen much better movement from her in the past.

1st / Charwin’s Debbollinby Charbella, wow I was blown away by this very pretty 13 month old bitch when she entered the ring, and going over her I was not disappointed the most feminine head consisting of oval tight expressive eyes of dark brown, high set close fitting ears, with good feathering, scissor bite from clean white teeth, tight in flews and dry in mouth, nice length of neck with no looseness, well laid back in shoulders tight in elbows, good chest width for age, strong and broad in back nice slope to croup giving a correct tail set and carriage, lovely angulation front and rear giving her the desired movement out and back, she commanded the ring, nothing over done on this bitch she is one to watch for the future I feel. BOB.G2 & PG2. Well done
2nd/ Charwin’s Debbollinby Crafty Beggar, at just 7 months of age, this young man was just at the right stage for his age with a very nice head good eye colour and shape, has a stronger mask than the bitch, tight in flews and scissor bite, but also has the makings of a good male head being a lot stronger, everything is there waiting to come through when his age determines, good in angulation all round, nice height already at this age, but still much the baby at the moment but not taking anything away from him as everything is there waiting to come on as his movement was so straight and true due to the muscle that is already building. Both of these youngsters were, in my mind, top drawer and will change places many times BP.
Post Graduate D/B 1 (0)
1st / Bodle’s Debbollinby Time Lord By Lionsridge, a 19 month old boy with appearance of strength with a lovely mask dark eyes and tight flews, scissor bite with clean teeth, well balanced in head though out, correctly high set in ear, strong neck well muscled, well boned all through, bit softer in pasterns than I would like for his age, good width of chest and depth, good angulation front and rear, not the coat condition of the youngsters, and not the charisma of the young bitch for me.
Open D/B 1 (0)
