Saturday 29th May 2026

Thank you to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge their breed open show. Also thank you to the exhibitors for your support and entry. I had an enjoyable afternoon and a thank you to my steward, Stephen Leigh for your support.

1. Special Beginners Dog/Bitch 2/2

1st Ambers, Leolux Shapeshifter – still a raw puppy of balanced proportions. Correct bite, well-proportioned head with defined stop, excellent in eye and expression with well-placed ears. Good pigmentation. Good length of neck into adequate angled shoulder. Still very much a puppy to develop in fore chest. Excellent in hindquarter with plenty behind the tail. Tail set well on. He has an excellent topline in stance which he held on the move, sound moving both ways. White, harsh coat, well-presented and handled. One to watch for the future. Best Special Beginner and Best Puppy in Show.

2nd Goodes, Ashgate Falnash – puppy with good strength in bone and substance. He has a good width of skull; he has good eye and expression and correct bite. Would prefer a slightly better reach of neck and better placed shoulder. He has a level topline and decent set on tail. He excels in having good turn of stifle and well-muscled hindquarters, which he uses well on the move. Just needs to develop in fore chest as he moves close in front. Harsh coat and well handled.

2. Minor Puppy Dog 1/1

1st Ambers, Leolux Shapeshifter – see above

3. Puppy Dog No entries

4. Junior Dog 4/3

1st Skrobiszewska and Sempolowskiejs, Well Played Vertragus (ATC BD88719POL) – a dog of larger proportions compared to the second dog and still needs to develop but the frame is there. He has a wide skull, defined stop, correct bite and good size of teeth. Still needs time to develop in fore chest as slightly close in front movement. He is a dog of balanced proportions with moderate angulation front and rear. He is compact in body with a strong level topline, with tail set on. Lovely to see him free standing, showing himself well. Has some substance behind his tail and he moves behind with purpose and drive. Well presented in white harsh coat and well handled. A dog I will watch his progress with interest. Reserve best dog.

2nd Szulzyckas, Newvoldemort Hot To Handle – lovely type, smaller proportions to the first dog, however, has plenty of bone and substance. Well-proportioned head with defined stop, typical expression with correct eye, well developed fore chest with correct depth and width. Well-muscled neck into good lay of shoulder. Body is compact with strength in loin. He has well-muscled hindquarters with plenty behind the tail. The best of tail sets, well set on. White, very harsh coat. Full of attitude, just unfortunately, he struggled to settle on the move today.

Compact in body with moderate hind angulation. He is balanced in movement and has excellent deportment on the move. He moves soundly in front and with purpose and drive from behind. In harsh white coat and well-presented and handled. Just would prefer more of him. Best dog.

Well placed ears, good reach of neck into a compact, short body and well angulated hindquarters, plenty behind her tail and tail well set on. Outgoing attitude and again lovely to see her free standing.
