A cold and wet day at this very popular show and once again all judging was to take place outside. The weather was not kind but the exhibitors were. Fortunately, my stewards were used to working outside in these conditions, and they were outside all day. So many thanks to them.

AVNSC Pastoral  - Puppy D/B (3), 1 Porter, Mrs. T., Ladamis Prince of Darkness with Mellowdee: A well grown 7mth old OES puppy dog, still in his black and white puppy coat, very refreshing, not cut back. He is a well-balanced dog, nice head. Kind expression, clean cut. Good length of neck. Good shoulder placements, good bone and strong back. Gentle rise, excellent bend of stifle and low set hocks. Very promising. Pleased to award him BP and Res. BofB.  Then Pastoral Puppy Group 1 and later to see him take Best Puppy in Show. Congratulations.    2 Howlett, Mrs. K., Artsam Bedazzled for Tiksi: An 11mth old Samoyed bitch and very pleasing indeed. Pity to come up against the 1st today. Well grown girl in good coat and excels in movement. Very smooth, easy going, covering the ground efficiently. She is also well balanced and of excellent type and out-line. I liked her a lot, very feminine.    3 Wickenden, Mrs. I., Lupussky Eos Skadi: A 7mth old Samoyed bitch, of a heavier type to previous. Not quite so smooth on the move. Well grown for age.

Junior D/B (4,1), 1 Craske & Finch, Miss H. & Miss J., Ancksunamun Fa Mulan: A 14mth old red brindle Welsh Corgi (Cardigan) Bitch. Won this class easily on movement alone. Very sturdy bitch. Well-built for age. Nice type and out-line. Kept her top-line on the move. Well done.    2 King & Jennings, Miss I. & Mr. R., Original Beauty Lady Orleansnow JW (Imp CZE): A 16mths old Samoyed bitch that is nicely put together. She is of a nice shape, very typy with a really good out-line and she pushed the 1st hard. I liked her a lot.    3 Rogers, KCAI CD, Miss K., Razkiah Azure Spice: Australian Shepherd Dog. A 13mth old blue merle dog. Well grown for age. Needs to settle on the move.

Post Graduate D/B (4,1), 1 Keeling, Ms. K., Catsun Spring Sunshine Over Wisley: A 2yr old Hungarian Puli black dog. Heading up another quality class. Very typical, nice shape and out-line and moved really well about the ring. Nicely balanced.    2 Winfield, Mrs. E.C., Brownieglen’s Ghillie Dhu: A Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) bitch. A 5yr old red tri. Pleasing on the move. Not quite when stood. Tended to dip her back which puts you off. But held it on the move.    3 Peirson, Peirson & Wilson, Mr. K., Mrs. M. & Miss D., Jandade Roi Charles: A 2yr old black Briard. A well grown dog. Neat out-line, nice type, masculine. Just let himself down on movement.

Open D/B (15,6), 1 Keeling, Ms. K., Catsun Singular Sensation for Wiseley: A Hungarian Puli black dog aged 2.5 yrs. That was heading up this cracking class. I really liked him. Well balanced very typy and a very very typical Puli. I have a thing about Pulis. I really appreciate when they respond as they should do when moving and this dog did. BOB and Group 2. There is nothing better than a Puli being a Puli thanks.    2 John’s, Mrs. A., Bel/Nld/IR Ch. Breezelyn Ears A Breakthrou for Alepenkye Sh. CexCW’25 DW’25: A 4yr old black Hungarian Pumi bitch, that has done exceptionally well under me before. I still love her, and I expected her to win this classy class. Just the movement of 1st beat her today. She is very typy and has a well-balanced out-line and I still love her.    3 Leggett, Ms. M.S., & Mrs. V.J., Mellowdee Sapphire Moon Avec Meldale JW: An Old English Sheepdog 2.5yr old bitch. At 1st thought I had been over this bitch before, but I had not. But that said very typical of the breeding. Which I know well. Very typy, well balanced, nice out-line and on the move. Nicely presented. You were in excellent company. Well done.    4 Craske & Finch, Miss H. & Miss J., Wildcard Harrison: A Welsh Corgi (Cardigan). A 4yr old blue merle dog, that was not out of place in this class. Loved his colour and movement.    5 Angier & Stacey, Mr. D. & Mrs. K. & Miss S., Icon De Bruine Buck at Birkcross (Imp. NLD), Sh.CEX: A Belgian Shepherd Dog (Groenendael), an 8yr old dog not showing his age and in great company.  Could have easily swopped them all around a lovely class. Thanks.

Bearded Collie  - Post Graduate D/B (3,1), 1 Bowden, Mrs. S. & Miss C., Subessen The Wonder of You JW: A dog nearly 2yrs of age. This grey dog still has some way to go. He has plenty of bone and is a nice type and out-line. Moves well. Just need to fill out. Which should come with time.    2 Gilbert, Mr. G.E.S. & Mrs. M.S., Bryonyhill Secret Saturn: A 3yr old fawn bitch. Pleasing girl with not a bad out-line or type. Just lets herself down on the move. Shame could do better.

Open D/B (2,0), 1 Bowden, Mrs. S. & Miss C., Subessen Heart Of Rome (Re-Imp): A 7yr old mature dog who won this class easily. Just on movement alone. He is a nice type, well balanced with a nice out-line and plenty of grey coat. He dominated the ring. Demanding BOB, which I promptly gave him. Well done.    2 O’Connell, Mrs. G. & Mr. M., Potterdale Royal Sapphire of Atherleigh: A 3yr old grey bitch of a pleasing type and out-line. Shown with a good coat, not quite so dominant in movement as 1st but pleased to award Res. BOB.

Border Collie - Puppy D/B (5,2), 1 Seaborn-Wendland, Miss P., Lucky For You Take My Heart at Noblewolves (Imp. Hun.): An 8mth old b/w bitch, and very pleasant. Nice out-line, type and well balanced for age. Moved lovely around the ring deserved BP in breed and later Puppy Group 2. Well done.    2 Neil, Mrs. L.J., Dollindaw Divine Delight: A 6mth old b/w bitch. A pleasing youngster. Moved well. Just giving 2 months away to 1st which is difficult at this age.    3 Goodliffe, Mr. J. & Mrs. W., Elystari Moonlit Dreams: A 9mth old b/w dog. Just needs to settle with a bit of luck, should be ok.

Junior D/B (6,2), 1 Seaborn-Wendland, Miss P., Lucky For You Take My Heart at Noblewolves (Imp Hun): As Before.    2 Neil, Mrs. L.J., Dollindaw Doll Daydream: A 6mth old b/w bitch, litter sister to the 2nd placed bitch in previous lass. Same comments apply.    3 Liebscher, Mrs. J., Windwalker Golder Delight at Troumerle: A 13mth old fawn bitch. She is pleasing enough but needs to get the movement sorted out.    4 Goodliffe, Mr. J & Mrs. W., Elystari Moonlit Dreams. Dog as Before.

Post Graduate D/B (2), 1 Jackson, Miss L., Littlehorm Inca: A 20mth old b/w bitch. Another quality girl.  Who I was pleased to award Res. BOB to. She is a pleasing type with a nice out-line. Well balanced for her age and moved soundly about the ring. Well done.    2 Neil, Mrs. L.J., Shemella April Showers of Dollindaw: A 3yr old b/w bitch. A neat girl of a nice type and out-line. Moved ok. Pity to come up against 1st today.

Open D/B (1), 1 Angier & Stacey, Mr. D. & Mrs. K., Miss S., Bilyara Isn’t She Lovely (AI): This 3yr old b/w bitch stood alone in this class, and she is in a class of her own. She is a super type, out-line and so well balanced. So easy on the eye and in tip-top condition. Pleased to award her not only BOB but also Group 1. She is a super mover, congratulations. Loved her.

AV Pastoral Veteran D/B (15,9), 1 Hoskins, Mr., Sh. Ch. Birkcross Gracie at Lefevre VW: A 10yr old b/w Border Collie bitch and what a lovely mover she is. Could watch her all day. Excellent type, excellent outline with excellent balance. Once you have it does not go away. Superb, well done.    2 Leggett, Ms. M.S. & Mrs. V.J., Meldale Obsidian Moon: An 8.5yr old OES Dog. A nice lad, not the biggest of dogs but is still well proportioned and of a nice type and out-line. Nicely balanced with a good coat. Moved soundly. Well done.    3 Bowden, Mrs. S. & Miss C., Subessen Heart Of Rome (Re-Imp): (Bearded Collie Dog. As before).    4 Winfield, Mrs. E.C., Daleabbey’s Apple Pie at Brownieglen: A 7yr old Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) bitch. This sable bitch was unlucky not to be placed earlier. She is a pleasing girl, looking good and enjoying her day out.

PASTORAL GROUP ADULTS  -  Group 1 – Angier & Stacey, Mr. D. & Mrs. K., Miss S., Bilyara Isn’t She Lovely (AI): Border Collie bitch - As Before.    Group 2 – Keeling, Ms. K., Catsun Singular Sensation for Wisley: Hungarian Puli dog – As Before.    Group 3 - Fagg, Mrs. L., Valdosta Lionking at Lynscot: A Shetland Sheepdog. A 2yr old s/w dog. Well grown for his age. He is of a neat type and out-line, nicely balanced and moves well.    Group 4 - Fox, Mrs. K., Sambreeze Pinviini at Vixenstar: A well grown 5yr old Finnish Lapphund, dog. A black dog of a pleasing type and out-line. Nicely balanced. Very pleasing on the eye. Moved out nicely.

Reserve Best of Breed  -  1 Cross, Mrs. J. & Mr. D., Lappviken Timantti of Manu: 2yr old Finnish Lapphund black bitch that is very feminine with a nice out-line. Very pleasing on the eye. Moved well.     2 Clough-Diprose, Mrs. C.M., Auberswell Star Trooper: 2yr old s/w Shetland Sheepdog dog. A pleasing dog in good coat. Nicely presented. Moved ok. Well done.        Judge: Russell F.
