17 month male of substance. Well proportioned head with good eye and ear placement, long neck, excellent shoulder and upper arm, good ribs, ok rear angulation. Moved well behind and in side gait, still needs to tighten in front.

2nd Miss T Irving Ch Twinan Shield of Steel 2 year old bitch who standing I thought would be my winner. Good head proportions, eye and ears, flowing neck, lovely front assembly, good rear. Correct length of body with ok croup. Moved Ok towards but was not 100% sound behind today.

Litter sister to 1st, again a quality head, good shoulder, ok ribs, good loin, excellent rear. Sound out and back, just lacked the profile of 1.

2 year old dog of balanced proportions. Head OK, sufficient neck, ok shoulder, good ribs and loin, balanced rear angulation. Moved soundly out and back which ultimately won him this class. Steady side gait with firm topline.

2nd Mrs H Hulse Bobaneira Kensington At Fablecroft Shcex

3.5 year old Dog, who is a real showman. Quality head, good shoulder, well ribbed, good croup and rear angulation. Moved well towards and in side gait.

A quality group, which made it an enjoyable challenge to select the final four.

1st Mrs D Skinner Dychix The Rag Nymph - I was captivated by this 4-year-old Bearded Collie bitch, who presents a picture of balance and breed type. Her skull and muzzle are proportionate and harmonious, framing an expressive eye. She has a good length of neck flowing smoothly into well-laid shoulders. Her body is well ribbed with a short, firm loin, giving the required length from rib cage. The rear is correctly angulated, supported by short, strong hocks. What impressed me most is how correct she feels under the hand—there is nothing exaggerated; every part fits and functions as it should. On the move, she truly comes into her own. She captures the effortless, ground-covering gait that defines the breed, moving with freedom, balance, and purpose.

I have awarded this 3.5 year old black male Puli a Pastoral Group previously. He excels in head with correct domed skull, mouth, darkest of eyes, correct mount, good pigment, well angulated front, firm topline, balanced rear, gait brisk. Just lacked the fluidity of my winner today.

3rd Mrs D Stevens Ch Windgunns Blaze To Ashvens. B/T GSD male who scored on his balanced angulation and sound powerful movement. When moving my final shortlist he rose to another gear to gain this placing over some quality exhibits.

4th Mrs A Johns Breezelyn Ears A Top Tip At Alepenkye 5 year old Pumi of nice type with excellent head. Moved briskly and sound.
