I would like to thank the club for the opportunity to judge their recent open show . This was my first breed club show and I felt very honoured by the invite . The club has a small hard working committee and without them giving up their free time and hard work leading up to and on the day there would be no club so thank you to everyone who is part of this club. Special thanks to my two stewards Andrew and Cath for carrying out their stewarding duties with efficiency. 

Lastly thanks to all who entered and allowed me to go over and assess your lovely dogs on the day and for accepting your places with grace . I had some really nice dogs. All dogs were presented in good clean condition as they should be .

1st. Bradiebe B’reylad

9 month old Red and White boy . This boy stood out in a lovely class. Large broad flat skull with finely wrinkled rope over a large black nose . He has a well defined stop with deep furrow . He had the darkest round eye positioned correct and well away from his thin rose ear which were set wide apart . He had a well fitted square jaw with canines set wide apart with enough sweep of under jaw . Neck was strong and lovely muscle and well arched already leading to broad tacked on shoulders that stood on a straight front with a deep and chest and enough brisket which was well let down between well boned fore legs , feet are tight and well knuckled . He has a well barrelled rib,short back with lovely rise at loin giving a pleasing topline with a good tail set and free moving tail. His rear was well muscled and hocks well let down with good angulation . Moved with typical bulldog gait coming and going. BPD

2nd.Rattray Bad Habbits 

Red brindle and white male of 8 months . Another lovely well balanced flashy looking puppy with a large broad flat skull , with thin rose ears set correct on head . Dark eye , preferred eye on 1. Fine wrinkle over large black nose with nostril was wide and opened. He has a well defined stop and round padded cheeks. Neck was of good length and nicely arched. He had tacked on shoulder with a good depth of chest on a square straight front with tight feet. This boy was short and cobby in body with a rounded rib .Hindquarters had adequate muscle for age . Hocks were well let down and had lovely rear angulation moved well.

Junior Dog 5 (2A)

1st .Asharlo Jumping Jack Flash 13 months 

Stunning Brindle and white dog who stood out in the class. This boy has a large broad flat skull with super sour expression . Correct thin rose ears positioned high on the head. Fuller rope but immaculately clean when lifted sat well above large black nose with good opened nostril. Jaw was wide and square with canines set wide apart within mouth. He had a lovely sweep of under jaw . Well muscled arched neck of good length , correct tacked on shoulder with good turn . He stood on a straight square front with lovely bone , great depth of forechest with a well rounded brisket . A front that we rarely see these days .His rib was really well barrelled and back was short with a lovely rise at lion presenting a good topline . Hind legs were well muscled with hocks let down . He was a pleasure to go over and a very smart boy who I’ll watch with interest. 

2nd. Klenbloom Denethor 

Red and white standard size boy 13 months old with a short cobby body. Skull was large and flat in appearance , ears were thin and rosed . Fine wrinkle over his large black nose with opened nostrils . Nice padding in cheeks . Mouth and jaw was ok preferred width of jaw on 1. Enough neck and shoulders were strong and tacked on . Chest had good depth .Would have liked a little more brisket as there was plenty of rib . Back was short and in profile presented a pleasing top line and pear shaped when viewed from above . Front was straight and square with good feet . Well muscled hindquarters and nice bend in stifle well let down hocks . Tail was set nice and low and was free moving . Moved well . 

Post Graduate Dog 2 (1A)

1. Jaybelabee Apollo 

18 months old White & Red male who stood alone but of great quality and worthy of his 1st place . Full of substance and well off for bone. Great head on this boy .Skull was large broad and flat with small neat rose ears that were position correctly on head. Fine wrinkle over large black nose with opened nostrils. Darkest round eyes set wide apart. Lovely padded round cheeks with over hanging flew. Expression was sour . Great turn of shoulder with tacked on appearance . Chest was deep with a well rounded brisket and a good spring barrel of rib. Nicely tucked up . Hindquarters had fantastic muscle with well let down hocks and nice bend in stifle . Feet were well knuckled . Tail set was slightly high though tail was free moving . Viewed from above he displayed pear shape. Moved soundly . 

Limit Dog 9 (4A)

1st Jabrybull Valentino Rossi to Rattray 

Red and white well balanced 2 year old male with lovely brick shaped head . Ears were thin and rosed set nicely on the skull and well away from his dark clear roundest of eye . Fine over nose wrinkle above a large black pigmented nose with good open nostrils. Great length of arched neck which was well muscled . Tacked on shoulder with a straight front leading to tight feet. Enough depth of chest and rounded brisket . He had well sprung rib and nice tuck up . Well muscled hindquarters and hocks were well let down . Short in back with a pleasing topline . Good tail . Moved well around the ring with purpose and confidence . RBD

2nd Indrio’s Bonnie Banks with Soultime

Red and White 21 months old boy of standard size. This boy was well off for bone and had plenty of substance . Head was large , flat and broad . Ears were rosed and set well away from his darkest round eye. He had a fuller nose rope but not impeding in any way and was spotless when rope lifted to be assessed . Large black nose with opened nostrils . Cheeks were well padded with slight over hang flews. He had a well fitted jaw with great width and upsweep of under jaw giving the typical sour expression . When checking mouth canines were set wide apart . Straight front with good depth of forechest and well rounded brisket that led to a well sprung rib. Slightly longer in body but still maintains balance to his size . Lovely tail set with good free tail. Was a little unsettled on the floor today. 

Open Dog 6 (4A)

1 Shiphape Shining Star 4 year old Red brindle and white boy of standard size with loads to love about him. Head large in size flat and broad. Thin rose ears positioned correctly on head and set well away from his roundest darkest clear eye between a deep stop and traceable furrow. Finest of wrinkle over a large black nose which had good wide opened nostrils with a lovely layback present . A really well fitted mouth with great width and excellent up sweep of under jaw giving the correct and true bulldog expression both sour and stand-offish . Correct tacked on shoulder with good turn . Neck was of good length , well muscled and arched . He stood on a straight well boned front with good depth of chest and a lovely round brisket that led to a massive sprung rib. Another dog who’s front is correct .A very good topline was present as well as a lovely tuck up. Hindquarters were well muscled with well let down hocks slight bend in stifle with good strong pasterns . Free moving tail . Moved soundly around the ring walking with width and maintaining his topline on the move. Delighted to award him BD / BIS 

2 Asharlo Fury with Andlare 

4 year old Red and White pied boy another lovely powerful looking male with lots of qualities . Large brick shape head . Skull was broad and flat . Thin rose ears well placed high on head set well away from the darkest round clear eyes. Slightly fuller wrinkle than 1 sat well above the blackest nose with good nostrils. This boy had a lovely layback present. Cheeks were well cushioned with flews slighty hanging over a wide square jaw with excellent sweep of under jaw so correct . Well boned straight front with correct tacked on shoulder leading to tight feet . Good depth of chest and well rounded brisket . Rib was well sprung . Short back with ok topline . Hindquarters were strong and well muscled . Strong in pasterns. Nice rear angulation with well let down hocks . Sound on the move.

Minor puppy bitch 3 (2A)

1st. Unverdadero Stand and Deliver 

8 month old White and Red female of standard size very feminine girl. Nice clean head, skull was flat and broad . Thin rose ear positioned correctly on the skull set well apart from a clear dark round eye. Very little wrinkle above a black nose which had good opened nostrils. Enough padding on cheeks just now . Mouth was well fitted and had lovely width of jaw and excellent sweep of underjaw. Neck was of good length and as it should be at this time. Front was straight with enough bone and lovely tight feet . She had a deep forechest and lovely brisket leading to a nicely barrelled rib which was tucked up . Viewed from above giving a nice pear shape. Strong hindquarters and hocks well let down. Nicely set tail giving her profile a lovely finish and tail was free moving . Lovely roll on the move. 

Puppy Bitch 5 (1A)

1st Erimusbulls Briggitte Bardo

11 months old White and Red stunning puppy bitch who stood out in a really nice class . Beautiful head that was large, broad and flat. Thin rosed ears positioned correctly on skull. She had the darkest of round clear eyes with a deep defined stop in between . Slightly fuller rope over her big black nose which had very good opened nostrils . This girl was immaculate. Her cheeks were well padded and round with juicy flews over hanging. Jaw had good width and a good upsweep of underjaw. Lovely strong neck leading to correct front which was straight and well boned with good tight feet . Shoulders were tacked on . Deepest chest with a well rounded brisket which led to a big barrelled rib. She was well tucked up giving a lovely pear shape when viewed from above. Her back was short with a pleasing topline , finished with a low set free moving tail. Strong in the hindquarters with well let down hocks and strong pasterns . Moved around the ring soundly with purpose . BPIB

2nd Avaword Bonnie 

Red and white 11 months old girl different in type to 1. This girl was of standard size body was short and cobby . Head was large , flat and broad . Ears were rosed I preferred the setting on 1. Clear dark round eyes with a fine wrinkle over her large black nose which had good opened nostrils. Well padded foreface . She had enough width in jaw and had the desired “u” shape in appearance . Her neck was strong and well muscled . She stood on a straight front with plenty of bone with good feet . Chest was deep and brisket was rounded which led to a well sprung rib with nice tuck up . Presented a short back with pleasing topline with free moving tail . Strong hind with lovely rear angulation , hocks were well let down . Moved soundly and walked with her width . 

Junior Bitch 6 (2A)

1st Asharlo Rumour Has It 13 months old 

Red and white bitch of standard size . Lovely clean head with thin rosed ears positioned nicely on the head well apart from a clear, dark round eye. Deep stop between the eye. Very fine wrinkle over her large blackest nose with good opened wide nostril . Her mouth was well fitted with a good width of jaw and lovely sweep of under jaw. Neck was muscular and arched . She stood four square on a straight from with enough bone and tight feet. Great depth of forechest and large round brisket seen between forelegs . Well sprung rib followed by a lovely tuck up which led to a strong muscular hindquarter. Tail was set low giving a lovely finish in top line and profile. Rear angulation was good with strong pasterns present . Moved soundly around the ring . 

2nd Andlare Look Again 13 months old 

Red and white pied girl with plenty substance . Head was large,flat and broad with a deep furrow . Thin rose ears positioned ok on skull. Eyes were clear round and dark . Fine wrinkle above a large black nose with good nostrils . Cheeks were well padded with flews slightly over hanging a good wide jaw with a lovely sweep of underjaw . Enough neck although I preferred neck on 1 . Good turn of shoulder and giving a tack on appearance. Straight front with good well knuckled feet . Plenty rib and nicely tucked up from above desired pear shape was present. Free moving tail set ok strong muscled rear . Moved well around the ring . 

Post Grad Bitch 7 (3A)

1st Avaword Gweno 

Red and white 3 year old standard size girl with plenty substance about her . Flattest large broad skull with a lovely rose ear that were place correctly on the skull . Good clear dark eyes . Fine wrinkle above a large black nose with a good opened nostril present . She had a good mouth with a wide jaw with nice sweep and a typical sour expression . Neck was strong and muscular leading to a straight square front with tight feet and a good depth of forechest with enough brisket . The rib was well sprung , the back was short with a healthy tail , set low on her cobby body . Rear end was well muscled with hindquarters well angulated. Walked with width and moved soundly . 

2nd Mystyle The Duchess at Unverdadero 

Red and white 19 months old standard size bitch very feminine girl presented in lovely condition . Really clean head on this girl who had lovely small rosed ears positioned lovely on her flat skull . Clear dark round eyes . Very fine wrinkle above her large black nose with big wide opened nostrils really good nostrils . The fine wrinkle allows to appreciate her defined stop and lovely layback . Good width of jaw and decent upsweep . I just preferred the expression and maturity of 1 . She stood on a straight front with good feet with a good depth of forechest and rounded brisket. Good barrelled ribs short on back with a lovely topline and tail set correctly . A well made rear and moved well around the ring .

1st. Avaword Trixie 

Red and white 4 1/2 years old standard size girl but with plenty substance and well off for bone . Large head with thin rose ears positioned slightly higher on the skull but still well apart from her clear dark eye. Wrinkle over black nose was fine and sat well above nostrils were ok . Mouth was fitted well with enough width and no teeth showing with desired “u” shape present . Neck was strong , muscular and enough arch . She stood on a strong square front with plenty bone and good well knuckled tight feet and had fantastic depth of chest a well rounded brisket . A big barrelled rib with a short back and pleasing topline . Strong muscular rear end and hindquarters with lovely angulation and hocks well let down . Healthy tail and set nicely . Moved with confidence and with width on front . BB/RBIS/BOS

2nd. Bulldurham Phenoix 3 1/2 years old 

Red and white bitch very standard in size and a very feminine honest balanced bitch . Good size head flat and broad . Thin rose ears placed correctly on the skull. Eyes were clear, dark and round in shape . Slightly fuller rope than 1 that sat well above a large black nose with opened nostrils . On inspection this was spotless . She had a well defined stop. She had enough padding on round cheeks with flews giving a slight over hang on her wide square jaw with super upsweep of under jaw. My notes say excellent jaw. Neck was muscular and enough length that led to correct tacked on shoulder with a super front with adequate bone and tidy tight feet. Chest was deep and brisket well rounded . Good well sprung rib with a nice tuck up . Short back with slight rise at lion . Free moving tail that was set correctly giving a pleasing topline . Hindquarters were strong and muscular ,strong in pasterns with good rear angulation . Moved around the ring well with confidence . RBB

Veteran Dog/Bitch 10 (4A)

1st. Ch Andlare Everhard 

Brindle and white 11 yrs 4 months old. This old boy is still in show condition at his age and not lost much of his many attributes along the way. I’m one of his biggest fans. Head is large flat and broad . Ears thin and rosed positioned nicely on skull. Eyes are clear dark and round and not much evidence of age there . Fine wrinkle above a large black nose with ok nostrils . Good layback present . Well padded cushioning on round cheeks that is just starting to lose some volume . Super square jaw and excellent upsweep of underjaw giving a real sour expression . Neck still muscular and arched . Straight front with tacked on shoulder . Deep chest and plenty of brisket that leads to a big barrelled rib . Short on back with a nicely set free moving tail . Hindquarters are muscular and rear is still strong . Moved well around the ring with a little coaxing . Delighted to award him Best Veteran . 

2nd. Asharlo Lady In Red 7 years old 

Red brindle and white bitch in fantastic condition for her age and could still give the youngsters a run for their money , she seemed to really enjoy her time in the ring . Large flat and broad skull that was finely wrinkled with some work . Thin rosed ears nicely positioned on the head set well apart from her clear round dark eyes. Head has deep furrow and well defined stop. Nose rope sat above a large blackest nose with big opened nostrils. Jaw was wide and square with lovely sweep of underjaw giving jaw . This girl has a great sour expression . Neck was muscular and enough length which led to excellent turn of shoulders which were tacked on . Deepest chest and still has an amazing brisket . Big barrel of rib . Good hindquarters. Mobile tail set ok . Still moved soundly around the ring and didn’t forget what her job used to be on the day . BVB
