Cocker Spaniel: I would like to thank the hard-working committee for the invitation to judge in this well organised, friendly show, and for the delicious lunch! A sincere thank you to the exhibitors for entering. It was a pleasure to judge your happy cockers.

SY (5 2) 1 Burnet Charmwen Hot Stuff Gorgeous blue roan girl headed this lovely class. Great balance and overall proportions. Beautiful feminine head of good proportions, lovely square muzzle, tightly rimmed dark and kind eyes. Strong, moderate neck into very well placed shoulders, good return of upper arm. Excellent fore chest, mature body for the age. Very well rounded ribcage of correct length, short and strong loin. Well structured hindquarters, nice turn of stifle and short below hook. The balanced angulations allow her free, efficient movements with level topline. Well placed and correctly carried happy tail. Full of breed type and so very compact. I would have happily taken her home with me! Best of Breed. 2 Kew Lujesa Paperback Writer with Wylyeview Eye-catching young man with a beautifully flowing profile. Masculine head well on its way, plush square muzzle, gentle expression. Beautiful neck into well placed shoulders. Straight front legs, well padded paws. Lovely bone and balanced body proportions. Appears to have a slightly longer cast than the winner but it is mostly because his body is not yet as well rounded. He just needs a bit time to fill his handsome frame. Strong, muscular hindquarters powering his movements. Level topline on the move and stacked. Displaying typical happy and playful temperament, which his handler endured calmly. Reserve Best of Breed. 

PG (6 3) 1 Kent Laurellakes Mon Amour at Merryvista Attractive black girl with such a pleasing overall balance in her profile. Beautiful feminine head with soft expression. Lovely, moderate neck into sloping shoulders, good return of upper arm. Fore chest well on its way. Very compact, nicely rounded body, short loin. Well structured hindquarters, great muscle condition. Parallel angulations front and back producing an accurate footfall. She has such an effortless flow through her body when stacked. Unfortunately, she cannot contain her excitement on the move and the higher than ideal tail carriage breaks the lovely flow. I’m hoping she will grow out of this habit with age. Striking black coat very well prepared. 2 Rofe Villaspaniol Gold Flash Exuberant golden male. Masculine head, square muzzle, kind expression. Clean, moderate neck into well developed body. A bit upright in upper arm. Well off for bone. Slightly longer cast than the winner but still nice overall proportions. Strong, muscular hindquarters and excellent hind angulations. Moves ok when settled but is pacing quite a bit. Excellent coat quality. Super cocker temperament, fully enjoying his day out. 

O (4 2) 1 Kent Laurellakes Mon Amour at Merryvista (see PG) 2 Rofe Villa Spaniol Sunny Delight This golden boy is really living up to his name. He is the happiest cocker I’ve seen in a while! Nice head with dark eyes and low set ears, would prefer a slightly more defined stop. Lovely, moderate neck connects smoothly to his compact, nicely ribbed body. Strong, level topline, well placed tail. Strong hindquarters and good muscle condition. Very pronounced hind angulations, moderately angulated in front. He moves well when settled but is crabbing a bit initially. His delightful disposition is a joy to watch.
