 Carlisle & District Canine Society Premier Open Show – 30.05.2026 - Judge: Mr Richard Chaffe ( Rougeau ).

Thank you to the Carlisle & District Canine Society for the opportunity to judge at their Premier Open Show and for the kind hospitality. Also my appreciation to my very able stewards and especially the exhibitors for their entries and for attending the show. Thank you for your support and for bringing some quality exhibits for me to go over.

1st - Miss T J Irving – Born To Be Your Unicum With Twinan ( IMP HUN ) – Stunning eye catching 10 month male with so much to like about him, , masculine head of correct proportions, correct ears and carried well, correct eye and well set, presents an excellent alert expression, correct mouth, good length of neck giving and arched appearance leading into well laid shoulders and neat elbows, good bone, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs for age, firm topline standing and on the move, good rear assembly with balanced angles front and rear, well-muscled thighs, low hocks and oval feet, very sound in movement in all directions, he presents an excellent balanced outline standing which he keeps on the move, he has a very bright future which I will watch with interest – Best Puppy / Best Of Breed / Group 1.

1st Miss T J Irving – Twinan Put Some Jam On It – 14 month old dog, masculine head of correct proportions, correct ears and carried well, correct eye and well set, strong neck, good front assembly, neat elbows, good bone, well sprung ribs, firm topline standing and on the move, well angulated rear with low set hocks, correct oval feet, very sound mover but he does carry his tail high on the move which can distract from his outline, would prefer him to be shorter in length to give him better balance.

1st Miss L Manson – Calwinii’s Aqua Bloom – 3 year old female, feminine head of correct proportion, correct ears and set and carried well, correct eye and set well, presenting an excellent feminine expression, correct mouth, good length of neck leading to a good forehand with well laid shoulders, correct bone for size, good body proportions, firm in topline standing and on the move, well angulated rear, with low set hocks, oval nicely arched feet, presents a well-balanced outline, moved well with free movement.

1st Miss T J Irving – Twinan Truly Outrageous – 20 month female, only Cardigan present on the day but a very nice example with good breed type, very appealing head of correct proportions, correct ears and she does carry them well when used, correct eyes and set well, correct mouth, moderately long arched neck which leads to a good front assembly, well boned and very nice padded tight feet, good body proportions, well sprung ribs, good rear assembly, holds a level topline standing and on the move, sturdy female with lovely confirmation, moves smoothly with a good side profile action – Best Of Breed.
