Thank you to the Southampton & District Canine Association committee for the opportunity to judge at this friendly well run show and for their kind hospitality. The good weather was ordered and delivered and the venue was excellent. Also my appreciation to my very able steward and especially the exhibitors who came to support the show and bringing their beautiful quality dogs for me to go over which is very much appreciated.

1st – Ms M Heeley – Thistlemead Cascabel – Very smart 10 month old grizzle bitch, pretty feminine head of correct proportions, small V shaped ears carried correctly, dark eyes, correct scissor bite, clean neck which flows into her topline, correct front, tight feet, easily spannable, good rear, loose pelt in good coat, correct topline with correctly carried tail, presents a good outline standing which she keeps on the move, moved well in all directions - Best Puppy.

1st – Ms M Heeley – Thistlemead Fortuity – 2 year old grizzle bitch, feminine head of correct proportions, small V shaped ears carried correctly, dark eyes, tight scissor bite, clean neck which flows into her topline, correct front, tight feet, easily spannable, good rear, loose pelt in good coat, correct topline with correctly carried tail, good outline standing and on the move, moved well in front she is closer behind but has a good side profile movement.

1st – Ms M Heeley - Thistlemead Fortitude – bigger stamp 2 year old grizzle male, masculine head of correct proportions, strong muzzle, correct bite, pleasing dark eye which gives a good expression, good length of neck which flows cleanly into his topline, correct front, correct tight feet and thick pads, easily spannable, good rear which he uses to his advantage on the move, loose good pelt, harsh coat, stands correctly, good profile standing which he keeps on the move, strong topline, well carried tail, moves well in all directions with a good side profile movement - Best Of Breed.

1st – Mr & Mrs Sharp – Manorcroft True Statesman At Martifers - good sized 2 year old grizzle & tan male, masculine head of correct proportions, correct bite, dark eye, good length of neck which flows cleanly into his topline, correct front, correct tight feet and thick pads, easily spannable, good rear, loose good pelt, harsh coat, stands correctly, good profile standing which he keeps on the move, strong topline, well carried tail, moved soundly – Reserve Best Of Breed.
2nd – Ms M Heeley - Thistlemead Sensation JW – 4 year old grizzle female, feminine head of correct proportions, correct bite, dark eye, good length of neck which flows cleanly into her topline, correct front, correct tight feet, easily spannable, good pelt harsh coat, stands correctly, good profile standing, could be stronger in topline on the move, well carried tail, moves and shows well.

1st - Lucking & Thompsom Miss S & Mr D – Evannastar Cosmic Society – Stood alone but a very nice 2 year old brindle and white bitch, very good attitude, strongly built, feminine head with good length and enough fill, correct ears and well placed, dark eyes of correct shape, presents a keen expression, elegant neck which flows into her strong topline, just needs to watch her front foot placement at times, broad chest, ribs well sprung, good angulation, once settled moved well, presents a good outline standing and on the move – Best Of Breed.

1st – Mrs L J Marshallsay – Fergustaff Kraken – very promising 9 month old well balanced male with a brindle patch on his eyes, lovely exuberant attitude, masculine head of correct proportions, correct ears and well carried and placed, dark eyes of correct shape, presents a keen expression, good neck which flows into his topline, good front and bone structure, good feet and foot placement, good front & rear angulation, good muscle tone for age, once settled moved well if still a little loose in front which will develop with age, presents a good outline standing and on the move, should have a very bright future – Reserve Best Of Breed / Best Puppy In Breed.

1st – Ms E Newnham – Grapevine At Penhildiris – very nice 3 year old brindle and white female, good shape and balance, feminine head of correct proportions, correct ears and well carried and good placement, dark eyes of correct shape, presents a keen expression, good neck which flows into her topline, good front and bone with a strong back end, good feet and foot placement, moved well in all directions covering the ground well, presents a good shape and balance standing and on the move – Best Of Breed.

1st – Miss K Davies & A Lord – Calmarlin Ophelia - Very promising 8 month pepper female, lovely well balanced head which present a lovely expression, correct mouth, good neck which goes cleanly into her topline, good front bone and feet, good balanced angulation front and rear, she presents a lovely profile standing which she keep on the move, she moves really well in all for her age, should have a very bright future - Best Puppy In Breed / Puppy Group 1.
2nd – Miss N S Jackman & Mrs S R – Carnkie Ragged Robin - promising 10 month pepper male, lovely masculine head with broad skull, clean eye with lovely expression, correct mouth, good neck which goes cleanly into his topline, good bone and feet, would prefer better front foot placement and his front needs to strengthen which will come with time, good balanced angulation front and rear, moved well.
3rd – Hoskinson & Hinds – Fabio Z Medunlove Strane ( IMP CZE ).
Dandie Dinmont Terrier Junior – (0).
Dandie Dinmont Post Graduate Terrier – (3/1).
1st – Mr M & Mrs C Mills – Lairdship Larger Than Life – 3 year old pepper male, very nice breed type, lovely masculine head with width to skull, good expression and muzzle. clean, correct mouth, strong neck leading cleanly into his topline, good bone and feet, good balanced angulation both front and rear, his construction allowing for good movement in all directions – Reserve Best Of Breed.
2nd –- Hoskinson & Hinds – Lenacourt Laird Rannech – 3 year old pepper female of nice breed type, she ticks a lot of boxes in most departments, with pleasing head, neck and body, good shape to topline with correct croup and tail set, moved and handled well.
Dandie Dinmont Terrier Open Dog – (1/1)
1st – Davies, Davies & Kettle – CH Calmarlin Memento Vita JW – 2 year old mustard female, stunning well balanced head, large kind eyes giving a excellent expression, correct mouth, strong neck which goes cleanly into a strong topline, very good front assembly, good bone, good feet, well ribbed back, strong rear, good matching angles front and rear, Caught my eye when first going around the ring, she moves with an excellent side profile movement holding a very nice profile at all times - Best Of Breed.
2nd – Mr & Mrs Mills – Lairdship Lickerty Split – 19 month old pepper female of nice breed type and shown in lovely condition and coat. She has a lot of typical breed features , moved well but just a little shorter striding in front against the winner but still a very nice example of the breed.
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Puppy – (1/0).
1st – Mr & Mrs Munn – Snowmeadow Unforget Ubble – 6 month old female, lovely exuberant attitude, very nice head with neat ears, correct mouth, good reach of neck flowing into her topline, good shoulders, good front and rear angulation, very exuberant on the move but when she does settle you can see she has and will have excellent reach and drive – Reserve Best Of Breed / Best Puppy In Breed.

1st - Mrs G Bowin – Esprimo Girl On Fire – 3 year old up on size female, feminine well balanced head giving an excellent keen expression, dark eye, well placed ears, correct mouth, powerful neck going into well laid shoulders, strong level topline, well sprung ribs, short coupled, well angulated and muscled rear, very well-schooled stands correct at all times, moved well with drive and purpose presenting a good outline at all times – Best Of Breed – Terrier Group 1.
2nd – Mrs B A Turner – Matrixstaff Moon Dancer At Tidestaff - 3 year old female, smaller type than 1, feminine head giving a keen expression, dark eye, correct mouth, strong neck, strong topline, well sprung ribs, short coupled, matching front and rear angles, not as settled on the move as 1 and at times moves close behind.

1st – Miss V Mitchell – Chedanstaff Devil Star Sh CEx – 7 year old male, well shaped masculine head giving an excellent keen expression, dark eye, neat ears, correct mouth, powerful neck going into strong level topline, matching front and rear angles, well sprung ribs, short coupled, well-muscled rear, moved well keeping a well-balanced outline.
2nd – Mrs B A Turner – On The Hill Two At Tidestaff - 7 year old female, feminine head of correct proportions giving a keen expression, dark eye, correct mouth, strong neck, strong topline, broad front, well sprung ribs, god front and rear, well-muscled hindquarters, moved well and correct in all directions.

1st - Mr J K E & Miss S D Finch & Bonner – Belleville High Society For Dalticino – 22 month old Norfolk Terrier male, good width of skull, good strength of muzzle, dark eyes, correct shape ears and carriage, presents an excellent expression, compact and square in outline, good front assembly with good lay of shoulders, good bone, strong topline, good rear assembly with good bend of stifle, presents a well balanced outline which he keeps on the move, moved well covering the ground with ease.
