I have to say my breed ring was quite uneven in places with a big dip halfway round and this did affect some exhibits more than others on the day.

Strong in head without being overdone in any way, dark expressive eyes and well set ears. Short stocky neck to moderately angled forehand supported by straight well boned legs and tight feet. Defined in quarters allowing a positive stride at all times. BOB Brittany Spaniel P 1 Samardzija, Samardzija & Ryan’s Patouche Amaretto 10 month old very promising orange / white male that is well constructed and balanced all through. Good head proportions, expressive mid brown eyes to compliment his jacket, ears set on high and carried well. Defined it quarters allowing a smooth efficient movement once he settled. Needs time to grow into his framework then he should have a bright future. BOB & BPIB J 1 Samardzija, Samardzija & Ryan’s Patouche Amaretto O 1 Samardzija’s Patouche Lambert Rising 11 years old roan male that is well made under his taut body. Good head to go over, mid eye shade, strong jawline and perceptible stop. Strong neck of fair length into moderate front assembly and strong limbs. Defined in quarters giving balanced outline. Sadly he was not 100% sound on the day. English Setter J 1 Stead’s Bondgate Miss Melodramatic of Settavista 13 month old female. Good head shape and proportions, well defined in skull, well set oval eyes and long low set ears. Long powerful neck into clean shoulders and straight forelimbs. Ample depth of chest and spring of ribbing. Muscular quarters allowing a sound movement at all times. L 1 Smith’s Bournehouse Secret Sunset of Meadowrush 7 year old male. Balanced fore and aft that could have a tad more angulation to improve his overall movement. Strong in head, mid brown eyes to match his jacket, strength in jaws but dentition could be better. Well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing. Topline firm on the move where he is sound and steady. O 1 Stead’s Ravensett Illusionist of Settavista 2 ½ year old male of good breed type and ultra sound and precise on the move. Strong head to handle without being overdone in any way, ears and eyes set well to give a kind expression. Muscular in forehand and matched in quarters, all put together to allow the aforementioned movement. BOB 2 Smith’s Lara From Valjevo Green Fields of Meadowrush Int Jch 4 year old female that is a tad shorter coupled but equally as balanced as winner on the day. Strong yet feminine in head with correct dentition and strong jawline. Moderate angulation fore and aft, ample spring of ribbing and firm topline. Tends to throw her right back leg on the move. GSP P 1 Harris’ De Lombardie Spirit of Barleyarch Very promising 7 month old liver spotted male that will surely go on to bigger things as he matures given today’s showing. Super head to go over, strong yet not overdone in any way, definite stop, mid brown eyes that are of good size and expressive, ears set on high and carried well. Forehand is well angulated and fully complimented by his quarters giving overall symmetry and easiest of movements once he was into his meaningful stride. Just gave way to maturity in the challenge. BPIB J 1 Gray’s Hafwenna How You Doin 17 month old male. Scores well in head, strong, proportionate and clean cut. Mid brown eyes, ears set high and wide, strong in jaw with correct dentition. Ample length of neck that is muscular flowing into well constructed forehand supported by strong boned limbs and tight feet. Well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing, topline firm at all times thanks in part to her rear definition. Smooth and efficient on the move. BOB 2 Harris’ De Lombardie Spirit of Barleyarch GWP P 1 Skilbeck & Calvert’s Woodybrook Samburu 10 month old liver female. Head and body balanced at this stage. Dark oval eyes, ears set on high and of good length. Strong neck into clean moderately angulated forehand with matching quarters. Took a little while to settle into her stride but when she did she was sound albeit still a little loose throughout. Shown in harsh clean jacket. BOB Lagotto Romagnolo P 1 Dawson & Briton’s Arcticbreeze Pebbles Piper Promising 6 month old female that was the more “ring ready” on the day. Good head to go over, still developing but the balance is there to do so as she matures. Well angulated fore and aft meaning that when she did settle into her stride she was sound and clean in her footfall. Just needs time to be at her best. BOB & BPIB

2 Smethurst’s Luxipuk Perfectmatchatee Another 6 month old this time male. Like winner here today he has a lot to like about him but he needs to gain more confidence in the ring with time. He has the build under his plush jacket to work with it just needs harnessing. Good length of leg and overall angulation. Stands on well boned limbs and tight feet. Again sound when settled. Pointer P 1 MacManus’ Freebreeze Crookrise Ida Stein at Luneville 10 month old black / white female. Scores well in head, strong lines and distinct stop. Dark eyes and overall pigmentation, ears set on high and carried well. Strong jaws, full clean dentition. Powerful neck of good length into well built forehand supported by straight limbs and tight feet. Ample depth of chest and shape to ribbing, defined in hindquarters allowing the easiest of movements from any angle. BPIB 2 Udale’s Crookrise Tilly 9 month old liver / white female that is equally as well constructed as winner overall but today wasn’t as prepared for the ring in terms of schooling and didn’t move as well as her build suggested she could have but I put that down to an age thing rather than a constructional thing. When she did settle she showed off her stride well. 3 Edmondson & Robertshaw’s L 1 Edmondson & Robertshaw’s Crookrise Sunbeam 3 year old liver / white female that took it all in her meaningful stride today. Scores well in head, strong yet so feminine all through, mid brown well set eyes, strong jaws and dentition. Forehand is well muscled and angulated as are her quarters meaning she has the ability to cover the ground fluently with utter soundness. BOB O 1 Edmondson & Robertshaw’s Dowbiggins Flush at Crookrise Black / white female rising 6 years old. She has good head to body proportions, being strong without being overdone nor coarse in any way. Forehand is muscular and well angulated to match her quarters allowing a smooth controlled stride in profile but could have been cleaner going away on the day. Gordon Setter L 1 Speed’s Ronaldsbill Magic Stars of Niannseter 3 ½ year old female that is strong in head and body but in no way overdone or coarse. Scores well in head, dark expressive eyes, low set ears, strength in jaws and full dentition with correct scissor bite. Well angulated fore and aft. Ample depth of chest and spring to ribbing, firm level topline whether static or on the move where she is fluent and precise in her foot fall. Shown in good clean jacket. BOB Hungarian Vizsla O 1 Hardcastle & Bradley’s Castledogley Firenze JW 2 ¾ year old well constructed female with strength in head and body without losing her feminine appeal at all. Good width and balance in head, dark oval eyes, low set ears and strong jaws with clean dentition. Forehand and quarters are well matched for angles and body toning all put together to allow a positive movement at all times. BOB Italian Spinone J 1 Starkie & Taylor’s Lucoru Fire Up The Night 15 month old female. Good head to go over, clean planes and strength all through. Well set rounded eyes give a good expression. Ears well covered and set in line with eyes, strong well developed jaws with correct dentition. Forehand is moderately angulated to match her hindquarters giving her the ability to stride out with purpose and utter soundness. Shown in coarse clean jacket. BOB Irish Setter L 1 Kassube & French’s Cararua Spring Pearl JW 2 ½ year old female. Good head to handle, strong and well proportioned to body. Dark almond eyes, low set ears, strength in jaws with full clean dentition. Forehand is muscular and well angulated as are her quarters allowing a smooth and effortless stride at all times although she is a tad loose and wide coming to. Shown in full jacket. O 1 Kassube & French’s Thendara Hot Diamond and Cararua Well constructed male rising 3 years old. Very good head to handle, clean lines, dark expressive eyes, strength of jaws with correct clean dentition. Powerfully built in forehand with well laid shoulders and straight front. Deep in chest good ribbing firm topline and defined quarters. Comes together on the move with an easy gait from any angle. Well prepared jacket. BOB NSDTR P 1 Gough’s Winter Snowflake Amber Glade of Korutorr Promising 6 month old female that is well built under her plush jacket, she just needs time to tighten all through and then she should be more together on the move, she has the build it’s purely age related. Good clean head to handle, mid brown almond eyes, ears set on high and carried well. Moderate angulation fore and aft. Ample depth of chest and spring to ribbing, topline is a tad loose at this stage static but does improve on the move where she is steady and sound when settled. BPIB J 1 Gough’s Winter Snowflake Amber Glade of Korutorr L 1 Hall’s Briztollie Mamma Mia 2 year old female. Forehand and quarters are balanced and moderately angulated allowing a steady and sound movement from any direction. Head is strong yet feminine with lighter eye and full clean dentition. Shown in full bloom. O 1 Copeland & Knowles’ Eusanit It’ll Be Reet at Menstonia 6 ¼ year old male. Strong all through from his well proportioned head to his defined quarters. Ample length of neck depth of chest and spring of ribbing. Very well muscled all through which allowed his effortless movement. Shown in full clean jacket. BOB 2 Gough’s Cretshengan Kitchi Lake 5 ½ year old male that is built on similar lines to winner just not so sure footed on the move today. He may have suffered with the ring surface as given his build it should have been more efficient. Put down in full jacket. 3 Hall’s Briztollie Mamma Mia Weimaraner P 1 Whitehead’s Gunalt Frozen Glacier at Stridview Striking 7 month old female of very good breed type and already so composed in the ring for her age. Scores well in head being quite long and proportionate, defined stop, expressive eyes, high set ears of good length and strong punishing jaws with full dentition. Forehand is well angulated and muscular to match her quarters allowing the smooth efficient movement displayed today. For one so young she made the most of the ring to show off her construction. O 1 McMahon’s Ir Sh Ch Silverkelvin Jupiter over Magdala VW CW22 Up to size male rising 9 years old. Strength in head and body all through without being overdone in any way. Defined stop, well set eyes and good length of ear. Moderate angulation fore and aft giving him a balanced outline at all times. Moves well in profile but fairly wide going away which detracted from his overall performance on the day. Basenji L 1 Legget’s Here We Go Again at Swanwite JW 18 month old tri female. Clean head planes, defined stop, dark almond eyes and well set on ears. Strong neck of fair length into moderately angulated front assembly with straight limbs and compact feet, well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing, holds a level back at all times. Used the ring to show off her build to the most. O 1 Grayson & Cullen’s CH Bushwacker American Hustle at Embeau 5 ½ year old red / white male that looks the part stacked up and doesn’t disappoint on the move. Good head to handle, proportionate, perceptible stop, good chiselling and dark eyes. Muscular neck and overall forehand with good angulation fore and aft allowing a steady and controlled movement at all times. BOB Dachshund L/H L 1 Barnicott & Pascoe’s Fahoogle Minack Judged this 22 month old red female as a puppy and gave her RBPIS and today she was again on fine form coping with the ring surface well. Good head to go over being strong yet feminine all through, dark almond eyes, high set fully mobile ears and punishing jaws. Powerful neck into very good shoulders and pronounced keel. Well boned limbs and tight feet. Well ribbed up for shape and length. Well defined quarters gave her the easy drive needed. Put down in full clean jacket. BOB & G2 M/S/H P 1 Winkley-Balmer & Winkley’s Jenivons Get Them Talking for Edenwhip7 month old black / tan female that is well constructed but quite raw at this stage but she has the framework to build on with age. Proportionate in head to body, well set dark almond eyes and strong jaws with complete, clean dentition. Ample length of neck into well built forehand, deep chest, good shape and length of ribbing. Hindquarters are defined and allow a steady controlled movement at all times. BOB, BPIB & PG3 L 1 Withers, MacDonald, MacDonald & Snelson’s Lady Nutella 3 year old chocolate female. Strong in head without losing her female appeal. Mid brown almond eyes, strength in jaws with correct bite and dentition. Muscular neck of good length into moderate forehand. Today she is carrying to much weight and this not only spoiled her outline it also affected her movement. She is well made just needs to shed a bit of excess. W/H O 1 May & Ball’s Wyreview Olympia 2 ¾ year old female that is strong and balanced all through. Good head to go over, clean lines, dark eyes and powerful jaws. Muscular neck on good length into well defined forehand and strongly boned limbs. Well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing, holds a firm topline standing or on the move where she is steady and sound. Shown in harsh, clean jacket. BOB Basset Fauve De Bretagne J 1 Crabtree’s Rangali Raffa 13 in any direction month old strong well assembled male that showed it all in his direct movement. Good head to handle, strength in jaw, noticeable stop, mid brown oval eyes and well set ears. Powerful neck into clean well laid front assembly. Deep chest well ribbed up and firm level topline static or on the move where he covers the ground with style and soundness. BOB & G4 AVNSC Hound L 1 Arden’s Madika Shine On JW [Beagle] 18 month old tri coloured female maybe at the “in between” stage at the moment. Strong in head without being overdone in any way, dark well set eyes, good length of ears set low down. Ample length of neck and front angulation. Well ribbed up, topline a tad soft standing but levels on the move where she is sound and has a clean footfall. Needs a bit more time. O 1 Hough’s Secret Agent with Sufayre [Hamiltonstovare] 3 ¾ year old sturdily built male that looks every inch workmanlike. Scores well in head, strength all through without being coarse or overdone in any way. Dark expressive eyes, high set ears that he uses to his benefit when called for. Long muscular neck into well constructed forehand that compliments his quarters allowing a free and solid ground covering stride at all times. Presented in overall toned conditioning. BAVNSC & G3 AV Hound V 1 Bartley’s Erylan Loki Maitre Du Mal VW [PBGV] Judged this well constructed male a year or so ago and made him BVIS and today he again doesn’t disappoint going over him. His head is strong, well proportioned and clean cut. Well set ears he uses when called for. Expressive dark eyes and punishing jaws with correct dentition. Ample depth and spring of ribbing, firm in back and defined in quarters. Sound and precise on the move. She is balanced and toned throughout and moves in total harmony with her handler to produce a good couple. 2 Bartley’s Erylan Astraeus [PBGV] Another quality exhibit from this kennel, this time at just 8 months he is already so well schooled and ring ready. Well proportioned in head to body, balanced angulation fore and aft. Jacket is coming and good for his age. Smooth and efficient on the move. 3 Winkley-Balmer & Winkley’s Jenivons Get Them Talking for Edenwhip AV Utility V 1 Roskell’s Ch Ken Go Shun’You Kensha [Shiba Inu] 8 year old well constructed male that never put a foot wrong in this class and moved around with precision and ease to fully show off just how well made he is, never faltering in his meaningful stride. Super head shape and proportions, mid eye shade and strong jaw with correct dentition. Shown in full clean jacket of good texture. 2 Gutteridge’s Benitin Trojan of Geduld [Kooikerhondje] Another well made male this time 7 ½ years of age and certainly doesn’t show it especially when he moves where he is in sync with his handler stride for stride at all times. Scores well in head being clean and strong in all departments yet in now way overdone. He is balanced in forehand and hindquarters for angulation and muscle toning. 3 Skawska’ Jolly Oziresun at Mapimakastar [Shi Tzu] SB 1 Leak’s Tamilanda Continental Icon [Dalmatian] 6 ½ year old male. Moderately angulated fore and aft. Strong head to go over with correct mouth all through. Tad heavy on the day and restricted his movement to a degree. 2 Brown’s Shenedene Serendipity [Lhasa Apso] Promising 10 month old female that is well built under her clean jacket, she needs a lot of time to finish and drop into herself but it is all there to work with as she matures. She looked tired at the end of what had maybe been a long day for her. She should have a bright future CH 1 Copper’s CH Violis Poetic Haiku for Copellastar JW [Miniature Schnauzer] Had the pleasure of judging this stunning 3 year old female a year ago and awarding her BIS and pleased to see she is now titled and rightly so. Such a good head to handle being strong and well proportioned yet retaining her obvious feminine appeal. Forehand is powerful and well angulated and when coupled with her equally as impressive quarters she just had to move with the fluency and precision as she did today. Put down to the minute in superb jacket. 2 Roskell’s CH Ken Go Shun’You Kensha [Shiba Inu] At 8 years young this male is a real credit to his owner for keeping him in such good conditioning all through. Scores well in head, strong and well proportioned without being overdone in any way. Forehand is spot on for muscle and angulation that is mirrored in his powerful quarters and allows the efficient ground coverage displayed here. Just shows what correct husbandry can achieve. Well proportioned head to handle, good width and muscle without being overdone in any way. Expressive dark oval eyes ears et on high and correct strong dentition to finish. Ample length of neck flowing into first class forehand that is powerful and well angulated. Well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing. Her back is straight and muscular. On the move she demonstrates her build to the utmost covering the ground with consummate ease. Good head to handle, perceptible stop, good length and chiselling, dark expressive almond eyes and punishing jawline with full clean dentition. Good length of neck into well built forehand supported by straight limbs and tight feet. Hindquarters match his front for angles and toning and allow a precise movement from all directions. Well proportioned head to go over, strong without being heavy or coarse. Forehand is well angulated and toned. Ample depth of chest and spring of rib for his age and size. Muscular quarters allowing an easy and effortless movement. Comes to rest standing four square with minimal fuss from his handler. 2 Carroll’s Salvadorada Morpheus of Dalpaulisa [Dalmatian] Promising 111 month old male that is well constructed all through in terms of angulation and muscle toning. Scores in head, strong and well proportioned, expressive dark eyes and well set ears. Deep in chest, well ribbed up and firm in back. On the move he is so clean in his stride and footfall, could easily run with a carriage.
