My sincere thanks to the exhibitors for the sporting entry of lovely hounds; all were beautifully presented and a credit to their owners. I have not specifically mentioned bites or coats in the individual reports as all were found to be correct on the day. It was a pleasure to judge such a quality entry

Special Yearling – 2 entries – 1 Abs

1st - Pearson – Amazing White A Story With A Tail At Armardio (Imp NLD) JW

18 month old red & white bitch. A stunning young lady full of quality. Lovely substance and very well balanced. An attractive domed head with correct stop and occiput, dark lozenge eye with correct haw and beautiful lace ears correctly set of good length with curl and velvet texture. Nice strong neck which was well arched leading into well laid back shoulders and upper arm of equal length. Her forechest fitted neatly into crook along with prominent sternum. Well sprung ribs which extended well back, a strong back with a level top line. Tail was well set on and carried correctly in a sabre fashion. Lovely angles at the rear, well bent stifles and hocks well let down. She had large well knuckled feet. Her movement was smooth and effortless, reaching out well in front and driving from behind. Pleased to award her BOB.

1st – Pearson – Armardio Wind Of Change JW

4 year old red & white bitch. A lovely feminine bitch who is well balanced throughout with considerable substance. An attractive head with correct proportions and wrinkle. Good ear placement which were of the correct length and texture. Nice length to her neck leading to well laid shoulders and correct length to her upper arm. Lovely forechest which fitted neatly into crook coupled with a prominent sternum. Her ribbing is well rounded with a good spring, a well muscled loin and tail well set on which she carried correctly on the move. Lovely angles to her rear and on the move she showed purpose with reach and drive. Pleased to award her RBOB.

2nd – Pearson – Armardio Candle In The Wind JW

4 year old red & white bitch. Litter mate to 1st and a lovely feminine girl. She has a lovely balanced outline, a pretty head with correct stop and occiput. An excellent eye with desired haw and lovely low set ears which were fine in texture. Her neck was well arched leading to her front assembly which is well constructed with a good crook. She has a good spring of rib which extends well back. She maintained a firm topline both standing and on the move. Correct tailset and carriage and her rear angulation was good, moving true both front and rear with minimal effort.

3rd – Pearson – Ch Armardio Im On Fire JW

8 year old red & white bitch. Dam to 1st and 2nd in Open. What a fabulous veteran. She is beautifully balanced with a lovely feminine head with correct stop and occiput. A lovely expressive dark lozenge eye with correctly set ears which were long and fine in texture. She has excellent construction in front and at the rear, very good prominent sternum and crook. She has good length and depth to her body with a firm topline and correct tail set. She moved out well. Pleased to award her Best Veteran.
