Estrela Mountain Dog Special Yearling (1,0) 1st. Reid / Lad’s Unesco Da Estrela An excitable 20-month-old male who gave his handler a bit of a challenge today, but his overall quality could not be overlooked. He possesses a good, strong head and well-set ears that display typical breed expression when he settles. Excellent length and reach of neck leading into a well-developed, deep chest with a good spring of ribs. He holds a good top line both standing and, on the move, with a well-set croup. He is well-muscled throughout for his age. When he focused, he moved well with a purposeful stride, though he was slightly loose on the out and back today, which is to be expected at this stage of adolescence. A very promising youngster, I would like to see him in a larger ring when fully matured, as he has a bright future ahead. Reserve Best of Breed Postgraduate (0) Open (1,0) 1st. Reid/ Galliagh Alya with Milagre An eye-catching, quality 3-year-old bitch who epitomises excellent breed type and construction. Beautifully balanced head showing a clean, well-defined stop, typical kind expression, dark, well-shaped eyes, and small, well-set ears carried close to the skull. Strong, muscular neck flowing cleanly into a well-developed fore chest. Deep, ample chest with well-sprung ribs that extend well back. Possesses a firm, level top line held perfectly both standing and in profile. Correct slope to her well-muscled croup, leading into powerful, strong hindquarters. Shown in immaculate condition, carrying a dense, well-presented coat of correct coarse texture. On the move, she handled the difficult weather conditions with absolute ease, powering around the ring with a free, sound, and ground-covering stride. A robust yet entirely feminine bitch. Pleased to award her Best of Breed
