Penrith & District Canine Society

Firstly I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for their invitation to judge at this show. I had a lovely day. Weather was good, some very nice dogs to go over. Thank you to you the exhibitors for your entries.

PARSON RUSSELL TERRIER.

JUNIOR 1.

1st. Ms J Shields - Shielmarsh Onyx. A promising youngster of 8 months, Nice enough head, good neck and shoulders, Feminine and balanced with a good firm rear, she was a little bit loose with her movement but lots of time on her side. BP

1st.P. Ms J Shields - Pacolito Follow The Lead With Shielmarsh. A nice bitch and of good type, She is feminine, head is of good shape, Nice clean neck and good shoulders, she is well bodied throughout. She has a firm rear and uses it to her advantage, Moves well. BOB.

2nd. Miss Rimmer's - Ir Ch Foxfur Bewitched By Kylini JW. Ir Jnr Ch. Pleasing head, Nice eye giving good expression. She is straight in front with ample depth of brisket, She has plenty of body and substance. I went for the movement of 1.

JUNIOR 4

1st. Walsh, Walsh & Lloyd's - Crowstaff Sieze The Day For Weorc - A balanced youngster who is feminine, good for size and progressing nicely. She has a good head, broad, nice eye with correct dentition. A firm neck into a good lay of shoulder, Straight in front with good bone and feet, She has ample depth throughout, well bodied and a good spring of rib, Firm over her rear with good muscle tone which shown well on the move. BP.

2nd. Clark's - Albamadra Perfect Illusion. Another nice youngster and of good type, Nice head of good proportions, dark eye giving good expression, well set ears and a strong jaw, nice straight front and good width across the chest. Ample depth of brisket, well ribbed and a firm rear, moved well. 

3rd. Cook & Frances Staffranos Esquire At Ragnarstaffs.

POST GRAD 7

1st. Rudge's - Nettleworth Needless To Say. Typy Bitch, Nice head of good shape, dark eyes, neat ears and a good expression. Good width to her front, She is good for bone with good feet, Ample depth of brisket and a good spring of rib, She has good angles to a well muscled rear, and a bitch who is very sound on the move. BOB & GP2

2nd. Walsh & Lloyd's Geordiestoon Defiant Boy For Woerc. A well put together male, Lovely head, dark eye, ears well set on, he has a firm neck into a good lay of shoulder, Straight front with good bone, feet, depth of brisket and well ribbed. A nice angulated well muscled rear and another who is very sound on the move. 

3rd. Hall's Fellendbull Foxhall

BULL TERRIER.

JUNIOR 2

1st. English's - Clansman Wishmaker - A balanced, muscular young male with lots to like, Lovely head of egg shape, erect ears, triangular shaped eyes, with good expression and plenty fill. Masculine neck into a good lay of shoulder, Straight in front with enough bone and substance, Ribs are well sprung, rear well muscled and a very sound moving youngster. BP - BOB - GP4 & PG1. Well done.

2nd. Davidson's Gorbain Hell Of A Storm. Nice enough dog, Pleasing head and of good shape however, on the day I was unable to access him properly. 

AVNSC TERRIER.

PUPPY 1

1st. Scott's - Mickleview Lay Down Sally ( Bedlington ) Pretty young puppy, nice head of good length, dark eye and good dentition. She has a tidy front correct for the breed, Straight and with enough bone, nice depth of brisket, nice rise and tuck up, firm over her loin and a nice angulated rear with firm muscle tone. Sound on the move. B. AVNSC P

POST GRAD 2.

1st. Scott's Mickleview Harvest Moon ( Bedlington ). 18mths male and of good type, Narrow head, Good ears, Nice eye and dentition. Nice length of neck into a good lay of shoulder, straight in front with good feet. Correct topline, Nice tuck, he has nice rear angles, firm muscle tone, a nice moving male both fore and aft. B. AVNSC & GP3.

2nd. Howarth's Niddrua The Temptress ( Irish Terrier ) Another nice dog of good breed type. Nice head, narrow and of good length. Dark eye, good ears and a lovely expression. Nice length of neck into good shoulders, correct top line, well off for bone and substance with ample depth of brisket. Shown in good coat and condition.

OPEN 1 & 1ab. 

1st. Fearnhead's Settleback Royal Flush. JW SHCEX OSW. ( Airedale ) Decent head, good eye and nice expression. He is straight in front and of good depth, he has ample body and substance throughout. Shown in good condition and in good coat, firm rear and moves out well. 

TERRIER GROUP

GP1. Mr & Mrs Mitchell's Border Terrier - CH Haystoun Comic Dancer At Paleside. A blue n Tan bitch what oozes quality. She has the best of heads, otter shaped and well proportioned. She has neat ears, dark eye giving a good expression. Nice reach of neck into well placed shoulders, straight in front with good feet, enough depth of brisket, level top line with a carrot shaped tail. Nice angulated firm rear and a bitch who is very sound on the move. She is easily spanned and has good pelt, turned out well and a pleasure to judge. GP1 and pleased to see her go BIS.

PG1. English's Clansman Wishmaster.

PG2. Golding's Sandfields Morning Star At Beaconpike. ( Border Terrier ) Another nice youngster, Pleasing head, nice eye, correct dentition and expression. Neat in front, a level top line with good tail set, easily spanned and in good coat, nice angulated rear and firm muscle tone, moves well both ways.
