Perthshire Canine Club

Breed: Gundog Group

Thank you to Perthshire Canine Club for inviting me to judge Labradors, German Longhaired Pointers, and Adult Handling at their show wonderful outdoor show. On arrival, I was informed that the Gundog judge was unwell and was asked if I would kindly step in to cover his breeds, along with the group. Thank you to everyone for still bringing their dogs under me and for gracefully accepting my decisions. A sincere thank you to the Labrador and GLP exhibitors for your patience, as your breeds were judged later in the day due to the circumstances.A very special thank you to my two wonderful stewards, who did an outstanding job and never stopped all day.I was delighted with my decisions on the day. My Cocker Spaniel (who I thought rather special), who won the group, went on to take Reserve Best in Show, and my Münsterländer, who won Best Veteran, went on to win Best Veteran in Show—so I feel reassured I must have been doing something right.Sending my very best wishes to Frank Gilroy and hoping he is feeling much better soon.
