Whippet

Puppy.

1st. Smith, Miss K.L. Gelfys Black Heather. A 10-month-old black female, presented in good overall condition, stands well and gives a pleasing picture. Nice gentle temperament. Head lean and of good proportions. She has good width between the eyes, oval in shape. Nice alert expression. Jaw strong and clean. Complete scissor bite. Ears held nicely rosed back. Length to neck, firm and slightly arched. Shoulders, close and well laid with ample width between at withers. Chest developing nicely. Forelegs straight, elbows close, ample bone throughout. Surprisingly firm back for such a young dog, slight rise over loin. Good lay of rib. Rear angulation developing well with good muscle tone. Hocks and rear angulation not exaggerated. Feet correct, ovel in shape. Tail carried correctly. On the move she showed good ground coverage and while keeping her front legs low she pushed forward while showing me good rear movement with legs coming well under body. I was pleased to award her BP.

Junior.

1st. Cooper Miss l. & Miss l.J. Ballaurens You Got It. A 13 month old Fawn and white female. Presented well and in good condition. She is well muscled. Head of good proportions, long and tapers nicely to her muzzle. Slight stop and ovel eye with the loveliest of expressions. Complete scissor bite. Ears small and fine held rosed. Good length to neck and firm. Shoulders well laid with enough space at withers. Forelegs straight with good bone. Chest well let down and good depth to brisket. Back firm and long but giving little or no rise over the loin. Well tucked up. Good rear angulation with clearly defined second thigh. On the move she was lacking the drive I was expecting.

Post Graduate

His head proportions are pleasingly balanced, long and tapering to muzzle, correct width between the eyes and a slight stop. Eyes oval with an alert expression, ears fine and rosed back. Complete scissor bite. Neck is well muscled with gentle arch leading on to well laid shoulders with good flat muscle. Elbows placed well falling in line with his withers. Back of good length, firm and well-toned, I was pleased to see a nice gentle arch over his loin. Thighs broad and well defined with good second thigh. Hocks well let down, well-turned stifle. Correct tail carriage and length. On the move this young dog did not disappoint, covering the ground with ease, good reach and drive with rear legs moving well under body. BOB.
