Special Yearling Dog/Bitch (4,2)

1st: Munro’s Xclusive Pour Dulmaur Belfleur Du Roux Mirour JW.B. particularly liked this bitch for overall balance and type. Feminine head and expression good length to neck, arched, and set in good shoulders. Front straight when stood.well made body of moderate length, developing nicely showing depth and good spring. Correct topline, strong rear with well bent stifles. Shown in ample coat of good colour. Moved well but front needs to tighten.

2nd Bell Millar Bell’s Laurelhach Mercedes At Blairbelles.JW.B another promising bitch and similar comments apply. Just not happy to be handled today and not quite as positive on the move. It had been a long day so hopefully just an off day.

 Graduate Dog/Bitch (2,1)

1st: Xclusive Pour Dulmaur Belfleur Du Roux Mirour JW. 1st in special yearling

Post Graduate Dog/Bitch (4,0)

JW.1st: Cuthbertson’s Lainnireach Star Gazer JW.D.Really liked this dog’s head. Deep with plenty of brain room. Completely balance throughout. Masculine and intelligent expression. correct tan markings Strong lean neck, correct topline balanced outline good bone and feet. Moderate body length with deep brisket. Would have liked a tighter front on the move but had good drive when moved in profile. Looked as if he could do a full days work.

2nd: Miller Miller & Miller’s Cafotaliena Heart of a Hero.JW.D. Another who looked as if he could do a full days work. Preferred head of my winner but a pleasing masculine expression. well developed balanced body. Well made front and rear. Good bone and feet good coat colour and correct tan markings. Moved well with plenty of drive.

3rd: Green’s Balnakeil Creag Rainich JW.B.

Limit Dog/Bitch (2,1)

1st: Miller, Miller & Miller’s Liric Just The Ticket.D.Another I really liked for type. Masculine head with level planes, well balance skull/muzzle proportions. Correct tan marking. Strong neck lean and well arched . well made font rear, good topline, moderate boy length, deep chest with well sprung rib. Moved soundly but not using his tail to advantage.

Open Dog /Bitch(6,1)

2 lovely exhibits headed this class. Both were excellent examples of the breed and both looked as if they would be just at home doing a full days work in the field as in the showring. on the day I had to make a decision and went for the bitch’s youth and excellent movement.

1st: Cuthbertson’s Lainnireach A Star is Born.JW.B. This bitch has a beautifully balance head with intelligent feminine expression.level planes. Enough width to skull to compliment fairly long muzzle of good depth . well defined stop and correct tan marking. Long neck, arched and set in well place shoulders. Straight font, good bone and feet. Correct length to body, well developed spring to rib with good depth to back ribs. Muscular rear, stifles well bent. Lovely coat colour with good contrast between the black coat and tan marking. Moved soundly with drive and enthusiasm. Delighted to award her BOB and even more delighted to hers she had been awarded her first CC and BOB at the earlier Scottish Breeds show.

2nd: Millar, Millar & Scobie’s Sh Ch Yennadon Calvay JW SHCEX OSW.D. Another lovely specimen of the breed and its not difficult to see why he has his title. He has a glorious head and so balanced throughout his mature male body. .quality from nose to tail.moved. most of what I said about the bitch apply to this dog. Just lost out on the younger bitch on the day.

3rd: Kell & Hancock’s Caradilis Sparks Will Fly JW.B.
