Firstly, thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge long coat chihuahuas at your premier open show. Thank you to the lovely steward on the day who kept things moving and was attentive to me being heavily pregnant while judging, I was well looked after. Thank you to exhibitors for you entry’s, support and accepting my decisions on the day.

Longcoats

PD (4,1ab)1st Mr N & Mrs L Todd-Mccoid Rubyanlo Mr Majestic, 9 month old mature male with the most enchanting expression, dark round eye, well set ears used beautifully to frame his head. Well built, strong frame with well laid shoulder sloping downwards toward and impressive straight front. Good length of muzzle Mouth housing an impressive 6x6 scissor bite. Moved with drive from the rear covered the ground exceptionally well and moved with confidence. A lovely boy I enjoyed getting my hands on. BD BPD, 2nd Miss E Fellone French Connection Right Royal of Emarachis (imp CZE) 8 month old cream boy with lots to like about him. Well domed skull with a Sweet saucy expression, large flaring ears and dark round eyes. Lovely coat texture with the correct amount of feathering for his age. Not as mature as 1st but moved well in all directions covering the floor well. Lovely tail set and carriage and very attentive to handler. well handled. YD (2,0ab) 1st Mrs E A Grey, Rubyanlo El Vincitore 14 month old red sable boy, lovely to view in profile over all a well-balanced dog with a rock solid top line. Good length of muzzle and dentation. Admired his head and clean mouth, lots of breed type, well angulated rear which powered round the ring, brisk forceful action we desire. 2nd Mrs S Holland-Smith, Kirdanchi All That Jaz, 21 month old male, Fawn sable and white in coat colour. Very striking and glamours in coat although a touch to much coat for my liking. Underneath however, a solid boy well build and strong in bone. Great showmanship, alert and powerful in movement. Lovely well held level top line on the move and tail well set, lovely sickle shape carried up and over. A difficult decision between the two I just preferred the overall balance and dainty frame of 1st. LD (1,0ab) 1st Miss D Gilling, Rubynalo Tommy Hilfiger of Talocan JW, fawn sable boy 2 years old, one I have judged as a young puppy stood alone in his class but a worthy 1st place in any class. Not much has changed with this little fire cracker, the most ideal size, small dainty and compact, square in stature, well angulated, lovely overall well balance dog. Cheeky expression beautifully mature head, I would have preferred a touch longer in muzzle length although over suits his build and houses a lovely mouth. He has large dark eyes well set apart. Very alert and uses is large flaring ears to his advantage. Moved well in unison with handler. OD (2,0ab) 1st Mr N & Mrs L Todd-Mccoid, Rubynalo Te Amo JW, 3 year old black tri male, smaller in size, dainty compact square male similar in build and type to limit winner, who this boy sired. Lovely dark round eye. Immaculate 6x6 scissor bite something I have repeatedly encountered from this kennel across all of their dogs. He moved around the ring with pace holding a level top line. 2nd Miss S & Mr R Maclachlan & McDonald Athos The Noble, a lovely blue spirited boy just 6 months old. Lovely temperament he was a joy to go over happily greeted me as I met him on the table. enjoyed showing and made full use of the ring. Good sized male square in profile. Mouth was good, well domed skull, large flaring ears set correctly, slightly longer in muzzle. Its great to see new people in the breed and I hope to continue to see them in the ring in future. PB (2,0ab)1st Miss V L Silverstein, Bramerita Posy of Violets at Silverchi, 10 month old bitch of exceptional quality, it was a privilege to go over this exhibit. Full of breed type saucy, dainty and compact. Full of confidence she owned the ring and powered round with drive. Skull well rounded with correct length of muzzle, a beautiful 6x6 scissor bite. Well-constructed with good angulation both front and rear. Front assembly is outstanding. Alert, feisty, friendly and full of elegance. She’s a joy to watch move and I’ll look forward to spending some more time around the long coat ring watching this beautiful example whom I am sure is destine for a crown. BPIB very pleased to see her take Puppy group 2. 2nd Ms N M Czyz, Flaming Lamborghini Right Royal (Imp CZE) such a lovely black tri bitch 10 months old, lovely size small in stature, and wonderfully balanced and well angulated. Correct length of neck which complemented her size. Head well rounded, moderately short muzzle tapered. Housing a beautiful 6x6 scissor bite closely lapped. Fine boned but what really caught my eye was her excellent showmanship how attentive she was to her handler and how well she used those beautifully set ear, alert and enjoying herself. A wonderful temperament who stood happily greeted me on the table. She’s unlucky to have met 1st who just edged it on movement on the day. YB (4,1ab) 1st Mr N & Mrs L Todd-Mccoid, Rubyanlo Next Top Model, well balanced 21 month red bitch of preferred size. Mature beautifully rounded skull with large round dark eye attractive dark pigment. muzzle short, board. A happy sole charming and full of drive. Well angulated rear powered around the ring. Good mouth as expected from this kennel. Won this class as the better mover on the day. 2nd Miss V L Silverstein Silverchi Name That Tune, Just 12 months, red sable Bitch. Another exhibit of lovely size, her coat was in exception condition and hand feel with the correct amount of coat for me considering her age. Level top line held on the move. The best sickle tail set and carriage of the day. Correct front sloping from the shoulder which are well laid. Ears well set and used well giving the typical characteristic of alertness. Plainer in head however lovely dark eyes and a good mouth and bite. Another great mover! LB (3,1ab)1st Mr N & Mrs L Todd-Mccoid, Rubyanlo Knock Your Sox Off, I loved this fawn sable bitch as soon as she entered the ring. 21 months old, litter sister to 1st YB. Similar in a lot of ways but for me her expression and balance is better. Her head piece, muzzle length had me as soon as she stood on the table. She reminded me so much of my boy! She moved with power and drive with a well held top line. Square dainty and compact in size. Up on her toes are all times enhanced that lovely straight front. One I could have taken home.
