Firstly, thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge both long coat and smooth coat chihuahuas at your special anniversary show. I had a lovely day and made a wonderful weekend of it. The quality of the dogs where good and my principle winners where outstanding movers with excellent mouths 2 areas I particularly look for as both important functionally for the dogs health and quality of life. Thank you to the lovely steward on the day who kept things moving and was attentive to me being heavily pregnant while judging, I was well looked after. Thank you to exhibitors for you entry’s, support and accepting my decisions on the day. 

Long coats 

PD/B – 1st Mrs K L Hollister Hollichi Designer Dreams, cream boy just 6months of age, wonderful dark pigment framing large dark eyes. Full of breed type and expression, coat luxuriously soft to touch and lovely fathering for this age. Well domed skull and correct muzzle length housing a wonderful 6x6 scissor bite. He moved correctly in all profiles, a real little show man BPIB, 2nd Mr A & Mrs A Conibere Frapachi going for gold by Adnama another baby of just 6 months, fawn boy with lovely pigment, similar in type to first just overall not as balanced currently and I suspect will take longer to mature that 1st. mouth good 6x6 but not currently as close as I would like but that I believe should improve given time. Over all he was well angulated, level top line and correct tail set and carriage. He moved well but just needs a little more confidence. SYD/B – 1st Mrs A Skinner Mujerosa Miss Talkulah JW 20 months old red sable and white bitch well mature domed head with definite stop, used her ears well very alert, rock solid top line held firm on the move, wonderful temperament a real pleasure to go over. She had a correct mouth well set, clean dentation. Well laid shoulder, straight front and strong drive from the rear, RBOB PGD/B 1st Mrs A Skinner Mujerosa Lucky for Me JW black tri dainty compact male 3 years of age, My BOB today, his Expression and head are perfect in every way for me, saucy with a dark eye that draws you in, I fell in love with him at that point. Muzzle was of moderate length board and housed a beautiful 6x6 scissors bite. Nice deep chest, well sprung rib moved with drive and covered the ground. BOB. OD/B absent.

Smooth coats 

PD/B 1st Mrs D Gentle Arkoschi Cal Me Mr Farenheit lovely blue fawn male 11 months old, a real show boy who’s tail didn’t stop wagging, such a lovely happy temperament. Lovely head and muzzle length. His front was exceptionally straight which is something I Particularly love, good shoulder placement and depth of chest for his age. Very square compact male with a lovely outline. Well-constructed level top line held on the move in both directions with plenty of drive from the rear. Not to be overlooked BPIB, 2nd Mrs K L Hollister Hollichi Designer Destiny, wow stunning feminine cream bitch just 6 months old I was super taken by her and given more confidence would have taken the top spot. The sweetest chihuahua expression full of breed type, lovely domed head not over done with correct muzzle length, Dentation correct. Moderately long, arched neck perfectly proportioned leading to good shoulder placement, a lovely level top line when she moved well, sickle tail set and carried correctly. One I will be keeping my eye on. 3rd Mrs S Stanbury Yorone Too Timer Via Inixia SYD/B 1st Mrs D Gentle Arkoschi Star Gazer, an eye catching blue fawn, its always been a colour I admired from this particular breeder, 20 months old. Another boy with an impressive straight front, won this class due to his impressive movement and balance which I could not fault. He is square, compact and a picture on the stand. Lovely expressive eyes and good underjaw. Mouth spot on and muzzle length correct and proportional. He has a good strong loin, deep well sprung brisket and lovely muscle tone. Pleased to award him BOB ,2nd Mrs A Skinner Davixity Ay Papi at Mujerosa slightly leaner fawn male of 15 months old. Pretty head with well domed skull and lovely dark pigment. he has lovely large ears which he used well and are well set. Very attentive to handler with a lovely temperament really friendly he was lovely to go over. He’s got a level top line, tail set and carriage as it should be, strong rear angulation and plenty of drive. Neat dainty little feet and he is presented in lovely condition. preferred body and overall balance of 1st.PGD/B 1st Mrs K L Hollister Hollichi Designer Baby, 2 year old bitch just back off maternity as she is mother to 2nd in Puppy. Nice strong head with the saucy chihuahua expression. A lovely dark eye and muzzle broad tipped and good underjaw. Dentation 6x6 scissor bite closely lapped. Good spring of rib moved well in both directions. 2nd Mrs A K Brackstone Rafmor Pure in Heart per Picklesberry a shy cream bitch 2 years old. Very sweet good stop and muzzle length, housing a good mouth. head could be slightly stronger never the less she had a pretty expression. A touch long in body however did not show herself off the best today. Tail was carried slightly low maybe on a different day outside she might have been more comfortable. 

OD/B 1st Mrs A A Morris Mikichi Mr Moonlight ShCEx 6 yr old Red dog in excellent condition, I couldn’t take my eyes of him he was a lovely example to get my hands on and a lovely surprise today. He had a good mouth and expression with large dark expressive eyes, lots of breed type. Level top line held on the move. Moved in all directions with drive, strong and well-constructed. RBOB, 2nd Mrs K L Hollister Hollichi Ren’s Legacy, 4 year old dainty girl blue fawn and sable coat colour. Well laid shoulder leading on to an exceptionally straight front with strong pasterns. Lovely well sprung rib and tucked elbows giving freedom of movement. Top line and tail set correct and held on the move. Good body and muscle tone presented in lovely condition. muzzle length good head domed with well set ears. Just preferred the overall balance and showmanship of 1st.
