Junior Warrant Competition (36)

Excellent class with so many quality exhibits to choose from with many missing out. My five finalists in no particular order were:

Guy, Midwinter War Horse at Kerelkoor JW, Kooikerhondje. Pleasing in head which displays true balance. Pleasing in eye and expression with well placed ears with excellent dentition. His neck flows into a clean front assembly. He has good depth in brisket with elbows kept well in. Ribbing is extended well back to a firm loin. He stands on quality bone with neat feet. On the move he was sound whilst displaying an easy reach and drive; carrying his well plumed tail in the correct fashion.

Moore & James, St Arnewf Mr Dark Sky JW, Newfoundland. A quality black male of good breed type. Pleasing in head with a soft melting expression with a kind eye. Correct in front assembly with sufficient in forechest at this stage. Ribbing is extended well back to a firm loin with good width in his back. He is well muscled in his quarters and stands on super bone with well padded feet. On the out and back he displayed a free flowing stride and was presented in stunning order.

Warren, Ch Crimlisk Spicy Shiraz of Copperfield JW, Bullmastiff. Not at all surprised to see that this exhibit already wears her “crown”. On inspection she displays the correct proportions in head. Good width in chin with the correct reverse scissor bite with dark expressive eyes all topped off with neat well placed ears. She has a strong arched neck which flows into a clean front assembly with excellent fill in forechest. She is solid in topline which leads to a firm loin with correct coup and tailset. She stands on quality bone with neat compact feet. On the move she cannot be ignored displaying such an easy free flowing stride whilst holding an eye-catching profile on the go around and was presented in stunning overall order.

Horler, Horler, Sandfield, Sandiford, Hornwood Beleu Spirit to Rakens JW, Gordon Setter. Masculine in head with good width in skull and strength in foreface. Broad nose with a dark expressive eye. Excellent in neck with well constructed front assembly. Plenty in ribbing with a solid topline. He stands on correct bone with neat well knuckled feet. He displayed an easy reach and drive on the out and back whilst holding an eye catching profile on the go around. With more time he will mature up to complete the picture.

Page, Page Page Howell, Winflash Tom Ford, Dalmatian. Another eye catching individual of obvious merit throughout. Masculine in head which displays true balance. Dark expressive eyes with excellent dentition all topped off with well placed ears. Good arch in neck which flows into a clean front assembly with good fill in forechest. Correct spring in rib which leads to a firm loin with correct croup and tailset. He stands on quality bone with tight cat-like feet. His white coat was gleaming with dark pigmented spotting. On the move he covered the ground with excellent reach and drive whilst handled well to gain maximum output.
