Terrier Group 1

Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Mr Kerry, Houwaart & Daley, Jacobeaus The Legacy, A very impressive, sound and beautifully balanced dog throughout, with a superb alert and expressive head, excellent neck and well-placed shoulders. Lovely clean front with good bone and well-padded feet. Excellent close-coupled body with impressive depth of brisket, good spring of rib and a tuck-up at the loin. Strong, well-constructed rear assembly, giving him excellent drive and allowing him to move with a free-flowing, powerful and parallel action. A very pleasing Stafford with many excellent qualities.

Terrier Group 2

Sealyham Terrier, Mrs Flower, Dionaha Winnie. A lovely, standard-sized bitch of excellent make and shape, with a strong yet feminine head and a pleasing expression. Good length of neck flowing beautifully into well-laid shoulders. Excellent straight front with good bone and adequate depth of chest. Level topline, well-sprung ribs and a good tail set. Moved particularly well, with a parallel, driving action, showing good balance and soundness throughout. A very attractive and well-presented Sealyham with many qualities to admire.

Terrier Group 3

Border Terrier, Ms Taylor, Barkenelli Banksy. A good-sized, well-balanced dog, with an excellent typical otter head, strong through the muzzle with a good black nose, dark eye and correct small V-shaped ears. Correct scissor bite. moderate neck flowing neatly into well laid shoulders, straight forelegs and a lovely deep, narrow body of good length, giving the correct outline. Excellent hindquarters with good bend of stifle and well-let-down hocks, complemented by neat, well-placed small feet. Good-sized tail, well set and carried correctly. Moved very soundly and freely, with no exaggeration, showing excellent balance and true breed type, a lovely overall picture.

Terrier Group 4

Dandie Dinmont Terrier, Mr Mills, Lairdship Lickety Split JW. A lovely, well-balanced Dandie with excellent breed type and a strong, expressive head, featuring the characteristic large, soulful eyes. Excellent strong, muscular neck, cleanly set into well-laid shoulders. Good strong forequarters with padded feet. Excellent long, flexible body with good spring of rib, maintaining the required outline and balance. Correct tail set and carried well. Moved soundly and freely, with an easy, effortless, flowing action and good reach and drive. Presented in lovely coat and condition. 

Terrier Puppy Group 1

Sealyham Terrier, Mrs Pawson & Mantle, Aimfor Happy Little Vegemite at Ventasilures. A very promising, breed-typical puppy with a well-proportioned head maturing nicely, clean front, developing substance, excellent balance and a level topline. Correct rear angulation and good tail set, carried well on the move. Brisk, sound and purposeful, with good freedom of movement. A pleasing youngster with an excellent temperament and bright potential.

Terrier Puppy Group 2

Border Terrier, Ms Taylor, Barkanellie Moulin Rouge. A lovely young bitch who scores highly for overall balance and has a super, active Border Terrier character. Looks every inch capable of following a horse, with plenty of energy, game spirit and attitude. typical otter head, strong yet feminine, with a lovely dark eye and correct mouth. Good neck flowing neatly into a straight front, with lovely small, well-padded feet. Bodying up nicely for her age, with good depth and ribs carried well back, Excellent hindquarters with good bend of stifle and well-let-down hocks. In lovely coat and condition. Moved very soundly and freely, with good purpose and balance. 

Terrier Puppy Group 3

Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Mrs Mccafferty, Rainstaff Last Word. strong yet feminine head, good dark eye and correct mouth. Good front with plenty of bone and substance, finished with well-padded feet. Developing good body shape, with pleasing depth of brisket and spring of rib coming through. Well-angulated rear assembly and good tail set. Moves well when settled, with good balance and a sound, purposeful action.

Miniature Bull Terrier, Post Graduate, 

1, Ms Scott, Thomson & Pentecost, Oakfayres Red Flags. 

Ideal size, well-balanced dog, strong and sound throughout, with a lovely expressive Bull Terrier head and correct mouth. Good strong front with plenty of substance, good depth of brisket and pleasing spring of rib. level topline with good strength through the loins. Strong rear assembly, giving good balance and soundness. Moved well when settled, with a good free action with plenty of character and presence, Best of Breed.

Miniature Bull Terrier, Open, 

1, Ms Scott, Oakfair’s Stout Major. 

Good-sized and well balanced, with excellent make and shape. Strong, expressive egg-shaped head with good profile and correct mouth. Clean, substantial forequarters with well-padded feet, close-coupled body, good topline and strong loin. Well-muscled hindquarters, Moved well when settled. Res Best of Breed.

Dandy Diamont Terrier, special yearling, 

1, Mrs Lloyd-Warrington, Carnkie Forget-Me-Not. 

Strong head with large expressive eyes and a feminine expression. Good neck leading into well-laid shoulders, straight front, and well-padded feet. Long body with good spring of rib. Good tail set, free-flowing, easy movement, and presented in good coat condition. Res Best of Breed.

Dandy Diamont Terrier, Post Graduate

2, Mrs Bainbridge, Ceilmear’s White Star Beauty. Slightly smaller overall than the winner, with a feminine head and expression, straight front, padded feet, long body, and good topline. Moved well once settled.

2, Sealyham Terrier, Mrs Pawson & Mantle, Snow Roses Cinnamon at Ventusiles. Feminine bitch with many of the same good qualities as the winner. Lovely feminine head and good overall type. In comparison, she was just a little less strong in tail carriage and her movement was not quite as smooth and free-flowing as the winner’s today.

1, Norfolk Terrier, Mrs Nash, Raphiggy Dilys She’s is a One. A small, compact and strong yet feminine bitch with excellent substance. She has an expressive head, strong muzzle, correct mouth and dark eyes. A strong neck leads into a clean front and well-laid shoulders. compact body has a level topline and good spring of rib, well muscled rear, Presented in good coat and moving truly both coming and going.

2, Smooth Fox Terrier, Mrs Roger’s, Well-Fox Gentle Touch. Feminine bitch, good expressive head, flat and narrow, with strong jaws, correct mouth and dark eye. Small V-shaped ears, clean neck and straight front. Good depth of chest, short back, good level topline, powerful loins and strong rear assembly. Moved freely and parallel, fore and aft, in good coat.

Good head and expression, neat V-shaped ears and strong neck. Compact body with good topline, good tail set and well-angulated rear. Good coat and characteristic outline, standing well and showing good carriage.

Moved well once settled, with good drive and soundness.

1, Mr Batten, Trawden Summer Breeze

Staffordshire Bull Terrier, pied bitch. Strong yet feminine, clearly enjoying her day and consequently somewhat difficult to fully assess, but showing many good qualities throughout. Strong yet feminine head with correct mouth, good tapered neck into a clean front. Close-coupled body with good depth of brisket and spring of rib, level topline and good rear assembly. Moved well once settled.

1, Siberian Husky, Ms Gauntlett, Eirakee’s You Go Glen Coco Jw. Feminine bitch with excellent breed type, really showing herself off well today. Good feminine head with correct proportions and pleasing expression, good ear set and clean neck. Good shoulder placement, straight forehand and good feet. Well-balanced body with good depth of chest, well-sprung rib and level topline. Good loin and strong, well-angulated hindquarters. Good tail set and carriage. Excellent coat and condition. Sound throughout, moving freely and efficiently with good reach and drive, maintaining a good topline. A very good example of the breed, with all the correct Siberian Husky qualities.

2, Rhodesian Ridgeback. Ms Barnes, CH Diamondridge Dreadnought Jw, Excellent well-balanced dog of good size and substance, with strong breed type. Good masculine head, good ear set and strong, clean neck. Excellent forehand, deep brisket, good spring of rib, strong loin and good hindquarters. Correct ridge with good definition and crowns. Good feet. Showed himself off beautifully and moved soundly and freely, with good reach and drive. A very good second.
