Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at their Open Show. I frequent this venue often and this was the first time that I have seen such a good set up for an indoor show in the Abergavenny Building. The rings were of great size, loved the double roping alongside the rings keeping trolleys etc., a good distance from the judging and of course a very welcoming committee.

Junior 2 (2,1) 1st. Taylor & Lynch’s Pretty Dogs First Chester (IMP NLD) - A handsome 10-month-old wheaten male with a striking head and a soft, appealing expression, kind dark eyes. His ears are well carried, and he shows a good length of neck flowing into a long, strong back. He has pleasing depth of chest, with long, straight legs and tight feet. Well-muscled thighs, he presents as a very balanced youngster. On the move, he was free and easy, just a touch close behind at present which should improve with maturity. I understand this was only his second show, and he certainly shows plenty of promise for the future. BP & RBB

Open 1 (1) 1st. Wilkinson’s Rainster Eilex Among Hunacres - A 4-year-old grey brindle with a pleasing head and kind expression. Eyes are soft, and although the ears are slightly large, they are carried well. She has a good length of neck flowing into correct shoulder placement, along with a nice tuck-up. I would prefer a firmer, straighter topline. Good rear angulation, with well-muscled thigh. Presented in excellent condition and beautifully groomed. On the move, she was free and easy. Very pleased to see that she was placed in the Group. BOB and Group 3
