Handling Classes

191. Junior Handling 6- 11 yrs (11,5)

1st Layla Duncan. Lovely handler I have done well for previously, and this time her triangle was perfect, so she was always going to be the one to beat for me. Talking to her dog throughout the class. From todays performance, there would be nothing I would change! In the Best Junior handler challenge, I asked both handlers for a straight up and down and Layla turn at the top was super tight and tidy. Well done.

2nd Abbie Smith, another lovely handler I would happily lend a dog too. Nothing over done and stayed calm and collected throughout the class. Just stood a little close to my feet at the end. Well done.

3rd Konan Maver

192. Junior Handling 12-16 yrs (6,1)

1st Gemma Mackenzie. Another handler I have done well for previously. Such a gentle handler and knew exactly what to do. Always tidy lead work and showed her dogs teeth well. Her dog was pacing however on the top of the triangle, but she did correct this. Well done.

2nd Karson Maver. Loved this handler and he really gave Gemma a run for her money! Loved how much he spoke to his dog at all times. His lead was always tidy and his table work was effortless. It was splitting hairs in the end, but unfortunately Karson did stand his dog too close to my feet following his pattern work. Well done.

3rd Keira Angus

193. Adult Handling 17-30 yrs (4,1)

1st Chloe Mcdonald. Such an effortless handler. Did everything perfectly and nothing over done. She really impressed me with the smooth transition into a stand after her pattern work. Well done.

2nd Hunter Macdonald. Another wonderful handler. A very clean, professional performance. He knew what he wanted to do and completed it without any hesitation. It was a very close decision, but I did find Hunter just stood his dog a little too far away after his pattern work. Well done.

3rd Carmen Allen

194. Adult Handling 31-45 yrs (7,2)

1st Stacy Mason. What a handler, she made it look so easy and effortless – even with a dog who was wanting to give her a hard time. Perfectly straight lines and the neatest of leads. She showed her dogs teeth gently with precision. A handler who really made her dog the star and just had to be awarded Best Adult Handler today. Well done.

2nd Steph Duncan. A wonderful handler who kept her cool and did everything perfectly. Steph impressed me with her straight lines and tight corners, even when handling a large dog. Pushed hard for first, but when Steph first stacked her dog for the examination, she didn’t quite have her dogs hind legs square. Well done.

3rd Lisa Moir

195. Adult Handling 46-59 yrs (4,2)

1st Tracey Mcdonald. A handler who did everything correctly. Tracey showed her dogs teeth correctly and moved her dog at the correct pace with straight lines. I would like Tracey just to tidy up her lead work a little. Well done.

2nd Laura Smeaton. A lovely partnership, and worked with her dog so well. Laura stood her dog in the correct breed specific way and showed her dogs teeth well. To improve, I would like Laura to work on tightening her corners and stopping 3 steps away from the judge following pattern work. Well done.

196. Adult Handling 60+ yrs (5,2)

1st Jane Mcniven. Such a precise handler, with beautiful table and lead work. Jane showed her dogs teeth correctly and calmly. Her triangles lines were straight, and her corners were tight. A joy to watch – well done!

2nd Karen Forbes. Karen didn’t have the easiest of dogs to handle today but she still worked hard to have a wonderful performance. I would like to have seen a slightly tidier lead to complete the picture. Well done.

3rd Jane Ritchie

2nd Bonnar – Louiston Never Ending Story. 3 year old dog. Another lovely example of the breed. Although a little longer in back than preferred. He has the most beautiful masculine head and presents a nice picture of the stand. Not the movement of the bitch which lost him the class today.
