Perthshire Canine Club - Saturday 2nd May 2026

What a wonderful show! The weather behaved itself all day. A hard working and committed team pulled off a friendly and welcoming show. Thoroughly enjoyed my day. Thank you to all the exhibitors for attending and accepting places with good grace and being so very sporting with each other. I would come again – I will fly next time!

From an exceptional line up of beautiful dogs my selections were:

BIS : Ch Witchgait Toasted Cheese JW Shcex OSW – Super Mature Shar Pei male.

After giving him AVNSC and the Group he stepped up a gear for BIS, still true and sound and purposeful on the move. Not a step out of place. Could not be denied taking the top spot in strong competition.

Res BIS : Lochellan Dunn’s River Blue. Glorious 12-month Cocker spaniel bitch. An absolute cracker, such a beautiful head study, wonderful expressive dark eye, her gaze looks through your soul. on a clean skull, good ear leather length, she is put together well and in good muscle condition. Suer outline stacked and really carries herself on the move – ever wagging. Strong loin well angulated she is strong in bone but feminine. She strode out with maturity beyond her years. Foot perfect stride, beautiful away and back and in profile.

BPIS Helydon Yer Yolo, Absolutely gorgeous Mini Wire Dachshund. 7 months old and full of promise. Nothing overdone. All subtle and feminine, her head and eye is balanced, clean neck, strong front assembly, good straight front, with depth strong topline, strong bone, well muscled for her age. She goes around like a pro, super outline and full of personality. Sound and determined. Everything there for the makings of a super girl in maturity. Loved her!

Res BPIS Yakee Dear Jon – Pekingese. What a super little chap. Super broad head, dark round eyes sparkling and cheeky. Firm underjaw, short muzzle, dark mask, ears carried close and level with good feathering for his age. Super pigment. Short neck, broad across the body, close elbows. Short loin and in super muscle for his age. Strong legs, good bone. Angulated rear, lighter than front . Tail set high and carried over, Super coat for his age, He really covers ground albeit at the slow pace- clean feet and that unmistakable roll. He was a charmer! and also BMPIS

BSMPIS : Yakee Dear Jon Pekingese.

Res BSMPIS : Chadbrook Chocolate Chip – JRT. What a poppet ! Has a tidy outline stood. She is well boned, correct front and rear angles, not overdone, feminine yet strong head and dark eye, good mouth and strong jaw. In good harsh coat . clean neck of good proportion to her body. Well muscled but not overdone, correct tail set and carriage. Strides out on the move especially after a long day, just pipped by the charisma of the Peke.

BSVIS : SH CH Albadhu Pawsitive Vibes JW. Large Munsterlander. What a glorious girl this is. She just oozes quality and professionalism. In such hard condition. Super angulated front and rear – balanced head lovely eye, strong boned but clearly female, she has an outline you cannot walk past, she is so correct. She moves with power and purpose, holds her outline and has reach and drive at all angles. Superbly handled and presented. Could not be denied.

Res BSVIS Trixwood Golden Eye VW – Japanese Shiba Inu. What a super girl. In excellent harsh read coat. Loved her on the move, sound and light. She is well made and in good boy condition, well muscled, correct angles. Head is balanced , beautiful eye, small and almond , definite stop, well developed cheeks and furrow. Slight arch muscular neck. Super Outline in profile. A cheeky glint to her persona !

Special Champion In Show IR CH Kalaslane Revenge For Neukiebear (IKC) SHCEX VW – RBT. What a treat. Strong and powerful girl. She is mature on all points. Super coat condition and texture. Almost square, broad and deep through the body, strong bone, Moderate head with parallel planes, Eyebrow pronounce really sets off her expressive dark eye. On the move she carries all that strength with aplomb and elegance, she is easy on her legs, with powerful reach and drive. She could go all day. Couldn’t deny her this, she is so imposing.

Res Special Champion In Show : Ch Witchgait Toasted Cheese JW Shcex OSW –Shar Pei.

Best Handler In Show : Erin Logie. – Handled several dogs today, what an impeccable handler. Sympathetic, concise and confident. As she stood alone, I asked her to run a brace of Large Munsterlander, which she did effortlessly, really has a way with all the dogs she showed today even when they were not hers. That’s a top handler right there. Well done !

AV PCC Stakes Brace :

1. Heggie – Australian shepherds. Well controlled pair. Matched each other foot perfect on the move. Worked well with their handler. Like a perfect symphony.       Absolute 10 for artistic impression, 9 for technical merit. (Inside joke 😊 )

2. A young lady with a brace of Tibetan Spaniels. – Beautifully and sympathetically handled by his young lady. Super pair of Tibs, both showing well together.

AV PCC Junior Stakes

1. Soletrader Rockin Robin, Super smart Visla male of good balance and proportions. Liked his head and eye, masculine and handsome, Sound in profile, carried himself soundly. Of good bone, straight front, well laid shoulder, level topline, muscled short loin. Foursquare from all angles.

2. Kalaslane Irish Eyes At Neukiebear (IKC) RBT. Another from the Top drawer from this exhibitor. 9 month puppy with plenty of promise, super shape in profile, strong bone and a pretty head. Moves with power and freedom. Clean going way and straight coming back . Reach and drive in profile.

2. Ch Balgay Okurimono Shcex – Tibetan Spaniel. What an elegant girl. She has a super outline; she is feminine all through. Beautiful head and eye and an aloofness that is near needing an appointment. She is in such excellent coat and body condition. She is straight and true from all angles and carries herself with such importance and that typical Tibetan Spaniel outline.

1. Ch Braeaaron Macallan Vintage Bulldog. What a handsome substantial boy. He is unexaggerated all through. He has a large head in proportion. Free from over wrinkle, Broad Open nose, broad muzzle, good strong jaw, flat forehead with set high ears, side profile dips at withers and rises to the croup. Tail set low, loose and long

Good strong straight front, broad and deep through the chest, tapering to his waist on longer muscular legs. On the move he gaits so effortless with the lovely roll. Front straight and true rear tracking and skimming but he can carry his whole self and cover ground. So nice to see a bulldog with that yet not compromising on his substance.

2. Sophtspot Xtra Spicy – Dalmatian Male, still raw, Handsome clean head and eye, good mouth, straight front, good neck and shoulders, hard topline, well angled rear, good second thigh. Needs to settle on the move yet but that’s maturity, smart in profile.

Utility Puppy Group

1. Starianna It’s All About Me and Donaska. – This young bitch just shy of 12 months She has attitude in Spades. Really wicked dark eye on a clean feminine skull. She has the body and muscle of a mature dog, elbows tight to a deep rib on good legs, balanced square body, strong angled rear, correct tail set. She can move for days and when she focuses, is sound away and back with a clean parallel rear -, straight front and in profile carries herself with the aplomb and elegance a poodle should. Turned out in immaculate presentation and coat. Looked straight down her nose at me and couldn’t be denied the group.
