Devon County Premier Open Toy Breeds and Toy Group 2026

Thank you to the committee for the opportunity, the hospitality afforded me and to the exhibitors for entering their dogs and taking my decisions sportingly. The grass was super short thank you for that. The noise coming from the County Show made some exhibits a little unsettled today, but I allowed for this. My thanks also to my stewards Gordon and Diane for their help on the day, I hope the sunburn was not too bad.

Post Graduate 3/3

1 Makepeace’s Sandigara Hope and Dreams - 14 months old bitch, Fawn. Moved out very well around the ring with typical gait, good level top line which was held correctly at all times. Lovely shape size with excellent cobby type. Well balanced angulations. Nice head with well-placed breed standard dark eyes.

2 Kelsall’s Kelbrend Mister Marmalade - 2 years old Dog, Fawn. Moves well in all directions with breed standard gait, Good chest, tail set on well and tightly curled over hip.

1 Kelsall’s Kelbrend Dreamy Duchess – 3 years old Bitch, Fawn. I really like this little dogs head, met my interpretation of the breed standard, movement in the class was a little off at first but when move at the right speed was fine. Her dark, large, round eye, and soft solicitous expression won her BOB.

1 Makepeace’s Hugapug Guy Fawkes at Sandigara - 20 months old Dog. Fawn, good size which I believe I have judge before and much the same can be written. Lovely cobby type, good bone, well spring rib. Holds a lovely profile moving and standing. Moves well in all directions with breed standard gait. Good chest, tail set on well. Nice round dark eyes. RBOB.

2 Kelsall’s Flaikwell Damson Jam – 3 years old Bitch, apricot. A pleasing example of the breed to go over in confirmation and keeps her outline on the move. Correct dark round eye creating the correct solicitous expression for the breed.

1. Nightfire’s News on the bet for Panspayon (imp Deu) (Miss S Orchard) - 13 month old, Dog, red sable and white. Lovely head shape, eyes which were dark with dark rims, he used his large heavily fringed ear well. He is pleasing to go over in confirmation and keeps his outline on the stand and on the move.

2. Sunset Sea Breeze Bart (IMP Ita) TAF (The Rev'd K J & Ms A J Wells & Brown) - 6 month old Tricolour Dog. Very smart little man I liked him a lot, nice size, lovely intelligent looking dog with beautiful breed standard eyes dark and round, his ears are fringed already and placed well. His lovely topline and movement won him BP and later the Toy Puppy Group.

1. Inixia Glamorous Guy JW (Mrs S Stanbury) – 2 year old Black and white Dog, lovely intelligent looking dog, used his large heavily fringed ears well, shows his neck off well leading to correct level topline showing his conformation well which was evident on the move where he was true.

2. Inixia Finest Hour (Mrs A & Mrs S Morris & Stanbury) – 3 year old Red sable and white, lovely intelligent looking dog, with large heavily fringed ears. Lovely head shape with correct medium size rounded eyes which were dark with dark rims.

1. Panspayon Natasha JW ShCEx OSW (Miss S Orchard) - 5 Year old Bitch lovely put together this little lady came in to the ring like she owned it, she stood four square great body length in nice proportions, moved out positively with purpose kept her topline at all times, free-flowing movement and has good angulation through out BOB and later winning the Toy group.

2. Skyvana Caught at Metamorphic (The Rev'd K J & Ms A J Wells & Brown) – 4 year old Dog black and white. He is pleasant to go over on the table and holds his conformation well which was evident on the move where he was true. Correct head shape with lovely medium size round eyes.

1. Frapachi Going for Gold by Adnama (Mrs A & Mr A Conibere) - 6 month old Fawn Dog. Lovely alert expression on a breed standard apple dome head shape, large well set on flaring ears, lovely topline on the move, well balanced angulation. BOB and BP.

2. Mujerosa A Little Tipple (Mrs A Skinner) Tricolour Dog - 6 month old on the day, showed off his spirited personality well, small compact and alert little dog moved dainty around the ring.

1. Mujerosa Lucky for Me JW (Mrs A Skinner) - 3 year old Tricolour Dog. Nice apple dome head shape with breed standard large round eyes and well-set flaring ears. Good reach of neck. Really showed well on the move with excellent reach and drive. Holds a good topline. RBOB.

2. Mujerosa Miss Tallulah JW (Mrs A Skinner) - 2 year old Red Sable Bitch. Nice breed standard head with well-placed large eye and well-set ears. Good reach of neck, lovely topline on the move, well balanced angulation.

1. Davixity Ay Papi at Mujerosa JW (Mrs A Skinner) -16 month old Fawn Sable Dog this little dog had great ring presence, he stood four square great body length in nice proportions, moved out with purpose, I liked his topline, built well with very nice shoulders, correct head shape, his spirited personality and saucy expression won him BOB.

2. Yorone Too Timer via Inixia (Mrs S Stanbury) - 19 month old Fawn Dog good apple dome skull, lovely large round eyes, well placed very nicely proportioned, built well with very nice shoulders.

1. Mikichi Mr Moonlight ShCEx (Mrs A A Morris) - 6 year old Blue Fawn and White Dog. Breed standard apple dome head shape framed by nice large flaring ears with dark round eyes. He holds a good topline and moved with attitude and purpose around the ring.

1. Baldragon Pardon My French (Mr M L & Mrs K L Austin) - 3 year old Tricolour, Large breed standard head with good large and dark eyes, set wide apart, decent well feathered ear set, Moved out freely RBOB.

1. Cofton Soldier Boy (Mr R S & Mrs R K Baker) - 8 year old Tricolour, a delightful tricolour with a correct dome head shape, large dark eyes creating a pleasing expression, well set ears, moved steadily and well for his age.

Baldragon Blinkin Hell (Mr M L & Mrs K L Austin) - 4 year old Tricolour, condition lovely example of the breed pleasing to go over on the table, Lovely dome head shape with correct size rounded eyes which were dark, kept his outline on the stand and moved out positively with purpose kept his topline at all times. BOB.

2. Baldragon Living The Dream with Khatibi JW (Miss D M Pearce) - 2 year old Tricolour, much the same can be said about this little dog, I really like his eyes and expression, showed off his spirited personality today.

1. Lasagesse Angel of Harlem with Rhymswell (Mrs T & Mr J M L Warren) - 4 year old Bitch. Lovely dark, almond shaped eyes and well-set candle-flame shape ears making appealing head and expression. Nicely curved topline which she retains on the move. Her rear is well angulated and has nice muscle tone. Was her movement that won her BOB today.

1. Rhymswell Fields of Gold (Mrs T & Mr J M L Warren) - 2 year old dog. He has a lovely expression good, wedged shape head, flat skull and fill under the eyes. He has breed standard curved topline and carries his tail properly on the move. Good rich tan. RBOB.

1. Pedara The World Is Mine (Mrs T & Mr J M L Warren) - 8 year old Dog . He has a very nice head with good dark eye and good candle flame shaped ears set correctly. Nicely constructed throughout but wasn’t interested in showing today perhaps the heat and noise was too much for him.

1. Somergemz Mister Tibbes at Mujerosa (Mrs A Skinner) - 10 month old Dog Black and white Dog, pleasing breed standard head with dark eyes giving correct astonish expression. Liked his ribcage and depth of chest. He is pleasing to go over in confirmation. Kept his outline on the stand and on the move. BOB and BP.

1. Klassna Gotta Have A Star (Miss E Phillips) - 12 month old Bitch Orange Sable. I was look for that lovely intelligence foxy expression the breed standard requires and in this little dog I found it. Compact, short-coupled bitch with free flowing movement. Her movement today won her BOB.

2. Bincombefarm The Demiguise (Miss K & Mr D French & Ward) - 6 month old, Bitch. Very much a baby but a pleasing head which needs time to mature, with correct ear placement. Moved well free. Highest tail set with coat just starting to bloom.

1. Norvanik Gold Charm (Miss E Phillips) - 3 years old Dog Orange Sable breed standard head nose foxy in outline dark and showing intelligence, high set tail with a good plume carried. Moving out well.

2. Norvanik Shout Out at Bincombefarm (Mrs K & Mr N & Miss K P French) - 13 month old Dog. Orange Sable correct foxy outline head with pronounced stop. High set tail with plume. Moved well and stood 4 square

1. Divinity’s Azurite (Miss E Phillips) 2 year old Bitch Orange pleasing heads with foxy expression. Liked her eyes a lot dark, bright, twinkling and showing great intelligence, body compact, short coupling and good length of leg. Was her movement that won her the class today and RBOB

2. Bincombefarm The Hippogrif (Mr S & Miss K P Burnett & French) 6 month old Dog, Orange Sable a very noise show to brave a 6 month old at, he thoroughly enjoying himself once settled. Construction was good providing sound movement

1. Keltskaya Aurora Mouse (Mrs C & Miss M Agar) - 6 month old Bitch Gold and White I really liked the young one, breed standard head, dark round eyes with good pigment. Teeth a little awry at the moment let hope the work them self out. Good topline and tail set, moves really well with the typical brisk movement and carriage, great attitude.

1. Tonsarne Violette Szabo (Mrs A J Teasdale)16 months Bitch, Lovely head, very feminine, with small high set ears, darkest of sparkling eyes, breed standard cheeky monkey like expression. smart shape, great little mover, straight and true maintaining a good top line with good reach BOB and BP.

2. Tonsarne Back of The Moon (Mrs A J Teasdale)9 months old Dog. Moderately angulated throughout with a good top line. On the move, he was little loose in front at the moment, but he did have lively strutting action lifting his front legs high in profile. His head that needs to mature. A pleasing coat with correct texture.

1. Tonsarne Atticus (Mrs A J Teasdale)5 year old Dog. Attractive head with good furnishings and neat, well-carried ears, good chin and turn up that enhanced his typical monkey-like expression. Moved quite well with the desired strutting action RBOB.

1. Hawksflight Seeing Stars (Miss L Crouch) 6 month old Black and Tan Bitch. Lovely breed standard head, alert and keen expression with black oval eyes, well sprung ribs with moderate tuck up, Move with a true hackneyed action. BOB and BP.

1. Newtonians One Who Waited, Breed: Griffon Bruxellois (Miss R Green) - 8 month old Black and Tan Rough Bitch I loved the way this little feminine young lady moved, she is cobby, well-balanced and square little dog good top, high set tail, good bone, very nice angulation. RBAVNSC and BP.

2. Newtonians One Who Wandered, Breed: Griffon Bruxellois (Miss R Green) - 8 month old Black and Tan Smooth brother to 1 and much the same applies, at this stage he just a little bit taller.

Beauborne Stefani Topmead, Breed: Griffon Bruxellois (Miss R Green) - 2 year old Black and Tan Rough Bitch. this little bitch took my eye the minute it came in the ring, another good square, cobby and well-balanced feminine young lady, lovely breed standard head, beautiful dark eyes with correct soft expression Best AVNSC.

1. Lexody's Serenity, Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Miss K Hawkins) - 10 month old Blenheim Bitch. This exhibits head was breed standard to a tea, beautiful soft expression with dark large round well cushioned eyes. Moderate length, slightly arched neck, level topline both on the move and standing.

2. Lexody's Legacy, Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Miss K Hawkins) - 10 month old Blenheim Dog. Much to like about this one as well. Lovely head with correct dark coloured eyes, he is already has a lot of coat its long, silky with slight wave and plenty of feathering. Well-made body with good spring of rib.

Metamorphic Vista JW, Breed: Papillon (The Rev'd K J & Ms A J Wells & Brown) -Red Sable and White 7 year old Bitch won this class with easy, in beautiful silky fully coat, Moved positively, free-flowing and has good angulation which leads to correct level top line. Best Toy Veteran and when back and won Reserve Best Veteran in Show congratulations.

2. Pedara The World Is Mine, Breed: English Toy Terrier (Black and Tan) (Mrs T & Mr J M L Warren) – see breed.

1. Harelledream Warrior, Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Mr S M & Mrs B J Kowalski) - 12 year old Black and Tan Dog. By the point in the day the weather was very hot this did not seem to affect him. Good reach of neck which he makes the most of on the move. A pleasing expression with nice large dark eyes.
