Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society

Norfolk & Norwich CS April 07 2025

Many thanks to the society for the invitation, to my efficient stewards, and to the exhibitors on what was a long day for their patience and, with only one exception, the good grace with which they accepted my decisions.

Border Collies

P (4,1 abs) 1, BP, Wells’ Kazalki Misty Pearl, 6 months, sound and feminine, good front and feet , clean free movement with good head carriage, just slightly bum high as yet; 2, Turns’ Anastasia de Domaine de Singhara avec Fyglia (Imp Fr), pleasing head, dark eye, moved quite well, very nice type. Carrying a little puppy fat at the moment; 3, Shaw & Morris’ Noblewolves Bramleyapple.

SY (5,2) 1, RBOB, Wilcox’s Blackgold Age of Aquarius, very pleasing red/white youngster who pushed hard for the top spot, excellent front and feet, masculine and well balanced, moved very well; 2, Frawley’s Littlethorn Ghost, slate, good head, balanced angulation, well ribbed up, slightly untidy in front; finding the show environment a bit too distracting and needs to settle to his work. 3, N Bramleyapple.

L (6,3) 1, Tandy, Turns & Domotori’s Borderheart Havana Nights, strong masculine head, good front and balanced behind, moved nicely enough, unwilling to use his ears; 2, N Bramleyapple, red/white puppy, good overall conformation and quite a nice head, but rather up on the leg at the moment and too fond of his tail; 3, Turns’ Fyglia Cherish Mustardseed.

O (9,5) 1, BOB, Gadenne, Ratcliffe & Green’s Arrodare No Matter What, mature feminine bitch with a lovely head and outlook, excellent front and feet, showed herself off really well and seen to best advantage on the move, proper Collie movement and head carriage; 2, Tandy’s Borderbrook Stolen Affair, quality young male, well constructed and with excellent breed type and a very pleasing head, not fully mature yet but lots to like; 3, N Bramleyapple.

SY (4,1) 1, RBOB & BP, Millington’s Cunnanun Put the Crazy Away 9 months shaded cream, well balanced, moved very well with good topline and tailset, in good coat and more mature in body than her younger kennelmate ; 2, Palmer’s Hedgefen Girl from Mars, red, not quite the front assembly of the first, but a nice youngster who moved well and is balanced both ends, nice head and well presented; 3, Concadoro’s Jentiki Ginger Shade at Daxiedoodaa.

L (4,1) 1, Taverner’s Brackenfire My Honey Bee at Tavertekal, b/t, pleasing eye and earset, good height/length ratio, well ribbed up, movement precise and clean if not over-enthusiastic; 2, J Midnight Star, third in puppy and giving a lot away in maturity, nicely constructed with pleasing head and moved OK, bit too fond of his tail; 3, Concadoro’s Jentiki Cream Delight at Daxiedoodaa.
