I would like to thank the society for the kind invitation to judge Toy breeds and the Toy Group at their show. The atmosphere at the show was very warm and welcoming and the hospitality was first class.

Bichon Frise (1,1)

CKCS (3,0)

1st Kynaston K, Granasil Ovaltine JW 3 year old Ruby coloured, male of correct size. Lovely head proportions, his large round eyes gave a sweet expression. He has a regular scissor bite. Well placed shoulders and a level toplines. He is in good coat and moved well around the ring. BOB, G2

2nd Linton L, Thekop’s Cinderella. 8 year old black & tan bitch with the sweetest of expressions. Her coat was in good order. Well placed shoulders and a level topline. Covered the ground with ease.

Chinese Crested (2,0)

1st Kirkwood G, Heldon Zkitto Zkatto CPW26. 7 month old bitch. Fine boned. Good head proportions. Low set, large ears with good amount of fringing. Clean shoulders & level topline. Gould do with a little more ‘body’ but very much a youngster. Moved well. BOB, BIPB, PG2

2nd Kirkwood G, Heldon Zazy Zachery CPW26. 7 month old male, litter sibling to 1. Slightly larger and longer than his litter sister. Good head proportions and lovely large low set ears. His furnishings are lovely. He was too interested in his siter and her handler today to give a good account of himself on the move.

Italian Greyhound (2,0)

1st Russell N, Pegani Colorino. 16 month old male. Long flat and narrow skull, Strong jaws with a regular scissor bite. Coat the texture of velvet. Didn’t have the typical high stepping movement and tended to flatten his topline on the move. BOB, G4

2nd Liptrott S, Pegani Berluccia. 16 month old bitch. Litter siter to 1st. Smaller in stature and very feminine. Long flat narrow skull, large expressive eyes and correct scissor bite. Fine in bone, deep chest, back appeared roached rather that a slight arch over the loin. Lacked the front lift and was close behind.

Japanese Chin (1,0)

1st Millar S, Sharlana Deja Voo. This 8 year old bitch was a picture of elegance. In fantastic coat. Lovely head and expression. Large dark eyes. Moderate length of neck leading into well placed shoulders. Her body was compact, but she is slender and of fine bone. Beautiful profuse black and white coat. Moved out well. BOB, G3 & 1st AV Toy Veteran.

AVNSC Toy (5,0)

This was the strongest class of the group. It was such a shame that only the BOB & BPIB are able to go forward for the group.

1st Maxwell & Chalmers, Yakee A Star Is Born with Aintshe. I was immediately drawn to this dog. Large wide dark face. Round dark eyes and large dark nose with open nostrils. Heavy boned forelegs to carry the broad chest. Level topline. Well-muscled throughout. Tail set high and carried over back. Beautifully presented coat which didn’t impede its movement. Best ACNSC, G1.

2nd Barbi A, Cilleine Last Wicket For Sparlero JW. A smart little Griffon male just out of puppy. Large, rounded head with dark eyes & black nose with open nostrils. Good turn up with a lovely beard. Small well-set ears. Short in back giving a lovely square appearance with a level topline and high set tail carried well at all times. Moves true coming and going. I would like to see al little more substance/body on this little dog to give him the cobbyness the breed asks for.

3rd Watson D L, Beaujolie Hot Lips. 7-month-old papillon bitch. Lovely head proportions finished with beautiful large ears set at the correct angle to give the butterfly appearance. Nice strong jaws with correct scissor bite. Level topline and light free flowing movement. Very much a baby but lots to like. Best AVNSC Puppy & PG1.

2nd Russell, Ch Dyffrynsands Destiny’s Day to Claravi (Havanese). 7-year-old bitch. Slight rounded skull with good muzzle. Strong jaw and correct scissor bite. Dark eyes giving a lovely expression. Slightly longer than tall and holding a level topline. Lovely profuse coat with high set tail profusely covers and carried over the back. Moved true.
