Thank you to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge at this lovely show and to my steward Karen.

Bichon Frise Post Graduate (1,0)

1. Rusmar April Forget Me Not JW (Russell) – Exquisite 2 year old bitch who is just coming into her own. She has the most feminine expression with excellent head proportions and the darkest of nose and eye pigment. Well placed eyes and a moderate stop. Her pretty head is framed by well set ears and leathers of adequate length. Graceful neck and well placed shoulders and great spring of rib with a level topline and good tailset. Her coat is coming on nicely with and is of a nice soft texture. She moves so effortlessly round the ring and presents an outline that is very eye catching both standing and on the move. Although she stood alone in the breed she is of obvious quality and will watch her career with interest. BoB

Lowchen Post Graduate (2,0)

1. Bundu Spotless (Bush) – 23 month old bitch who was strongly built and had a lovely broad skull with a muzzle of good width. Dark round eyes and dense nose pigment. She has a nicely arched neck and good topline. Well angulated hind quarters and her movement could be a bit stilted at times a quicker pace would benefit her. Res BoB.

2. Jim’s Gift (Skippings, Gough & Havens) – 20 month old black bitch built on a smaller frame than the winner. Pretty head with dark nose and eye pigment and nice ear set. Shown in nice coat and condition. Moved OK.

Lowchen Open (1,0)

1. Bundu Mums The Word (Bush) – 5 year old bitch who has the darkest of nose and nicely rounded eye. Pleasing head and expression with a well filled muzzle and a broad skull. Well arched neck and level topline and good tailset. Nice spring of rib. Well muscled hind quarters. Moved round the ring keeping a nice outline. BoB

Maltese Open (1,0)

1. Sarasuma Made in Wonderland JW (Oliver) – what an exquisite young lady this is another that stood alone in her breed but what a stunning example she is and at 19 months she has more to give. She is presented to absolute perfection and has a perfectly white coat of lovely texture and not a hair out of place. She has the prettiest of heads with intense dark nose and eye pigment. Well proportioned head and muzzle and nicely placed ears. Lovely body and excellent spring of rib and well angulated hind quarters. Standing she has a fabulous outline with a gently arched neck and level topline and on the move she is exceptionally smart with a nice free flowing action. A lovely exhibit. BoB

Pug Open Dog (2,0)

1. Ch Nijacpugs Hot As Hell JW (Truelove) – 3 year old fawn dog who is of an ideal size and shape presenting a square and cobby outline both standing and on the move. He has a head of great proportion to his body with lovely dark nose with nostrils that are open. Nicely defined wrinkles and good ears and rounded eyes. Well arched neck and has a lovely head carriage as he strides round the ring. Broad in chest and good spring of rib and nice short loin. He is strong and powerful fore and aft with a good turn of stifle. He was a bit of a ‘fidget’ in the class but there was no denying his quality and was unlucky to come up against the bitch for BoB. I really was splitting the proverbial hairs and I am sure on other occasions he will be the winner. Thank you for the opportunity to judge him and his litter brother. Res BoB.

2. Nijacpugs Hot An Bothered (Truelove) – 3 year old fawn boy who is well off for bone and substance and has very similar attributes to his brother. He has a masculine head with the right amount of wrinkle and a dark mask. Nicely arched neck and good shoulder, just a little bit longer than his brother which for me was the clincher between the two. Moved well both coming and going with the desired amount of roll.

Pug Open Bitch (1,0)

1. Ch Bubbapug Summer Sundae JW (Saffer & Swinge) – what a cracker this young girl is especially when she puts her mind to the job in hand! She is certainly the full package and undeniably all ‘girl’. She has the most attractive head and expression with the desired amount of wrinkle and the darkest of round eyes. Lovely dark and open nostrils and the right amount of muzzle. Nicely arched neck that allows her to proudly carry her head as she struts round the ring. She has excellent front and rear angulation with a level topline and a good spring of rib and a well set tail. She covers the ground with ease keeping such an eye catching outline. She is was presented in tip top condition both in coat and also in body and muscle tone. A very worthy champion who had settled down by the challenge and pulled out all the stops against the Open Dog winner to gain BoB. Thrilled to hear she later went BIS – well done and thank you for the opportunity to judge her.
