Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)

Puppy D/B 1(0)

1. Lewis’ Trixhund Aunt Bessie - 11 month old bitch shown in lovely condition: not too thin and well muscled for her age. Sufficient ground clearance to allow free movement and not hindered by the length of grass. Very pretty head with correct proportions when viewed from all sides. BP, RBOB

Post Graduate D/B 2(0)

1. Lewis’ Trixhund Magic – black & tan pretty and petite bitch with a thick harsh coat suitable for all-weathers and conditions. Stood quite close at the rear on the table, but very settled and balanced on the move

2. Thomas’ Wyecaple Demeter – generally larger bitch than 1. Unsettled on the table and on the move. Gave their handler a tough time. Didn’t have the stability that I would prefer to see in these little hunters

1. Thomas’ Black Angellina – Lovely black & tan bitch who caught my eye straight away. Relaxed on the move and covered the ground effortlessly with the confidence that is needed in this breed. Well muscled throughout without being over heavy. Head is slightly small, but well balanced and proportioned. Excellent ground clearance and strong forechest. BOB

2. Lewis’ Trixhund Magic Moment – well presented young dog. Ground clearance and movement not as pleasing as 1 – movement appeared to be hindered by the length of the grass. Would prefer tighter skin over the head and face, but as he is still young, this could improve as he matures.
