Whippet

Puppy D/B 1(0)

1. Lloyd’s Jennie Wren at Penwincoed – 10 month old bitch not impressed with the length or dampness of the grass. Well angulated and moved well once settled, would prefer more rise over the loin. Very pretty bitch with delicate outline, but still well muscled

Junior D/B 3(1)

1. Lloyd’s Penwincoed Pamela Pumpkin – 11 month old bitch. Elegant outline, moved gracefully and covered the ground beautifully. Correct ear set that she was happy to use to express herself when on the table. Strong topline with gentle rise over a strong well muscled loin BP, PG3

2. Jones & Tulloch’s Penwincoed Pumpkin Patch – 11 month old dog considerably larger than 1 with much more definite rise in the topline. Took time to settle on the move, not keen on the grass which gave a more fidgety movement

Post Graduate D/B 3(1)

1. Jones & Tulloch’s Penwincoed Wyn Winnie at Heroicghost – Pretty bitch with elegant yet powerful movement and caught my eye in the class. Well muscled and deep chested. Not too big and carried herself with femininity both in the stand and on the move. Tempted for BOB, but didn’t move as well in the challenge RBOB

2. Lloyd’s Penwincoed Pumpkin Pie – handsome dog with a gentle eye who moved well, but not as keen on his topline and didn’t catch my attention in the same way as 1. Plenty of typical whippet character to be found in this boy and he definitely made me smile.

Open D/B 2(1)

1. Lloyd’s Penwincoed Amazing Grace – friendly and pretty bitch showing just enough of the aloofness you expect from a sighthound to give her an elegantly arched neck. Showed in great condition with a hardy coat. Well muscled with lovely strong loin. Moved beautifully and covered the ground without high step or losing topline. Showed her maturity in the challenge and never stopped showing BOB
