AV Minor Puppy Dog or Bitch

1st: Mrs A Lonbardelli - D’Arisca Fascination At Kelmeck - Miniature smooth Dachshund 

A very promising young puppy of pleasing breed type. 8 months old. Shows a good outline with correct proportions for age. Attractive head with good expression and well-placed ears. Nice length of neck flowing into well-laid shoulders. Body of good length with a level topline when settled. Good bone and neat feet. Movement was sound when relaxed, and although a little nervous today, this should improve with ring experience, still showed excellent movement. A quality youngster with much potential and worthy class winner.

2nd Mrs E Holgate - Pipaleen Well Kept Secret - Tibetan Terrier 

A very appealing minor puppy of good quality. 27 weeks old. Presents a balanced outline with pleasing proportions for age. Attractive head with a good expression and well-set ears. Good length of neck leading into well-placed shoulders. Body developing well with correct length and correct topline when settled. Good bone and substance for age. She is a very lively and happy temperament, showing typical puppy enthusiasm. A confident, cheerful youngster with much promise for the future.

AV Puppy Dog or Bitch 

1st Mrs E Holgate - Pipaleen Hidden Gem - Tibetan Terrier BPIS

An outstanding puppy who stood out for her quality, sound movement and showmanship. She presents a balanced outline with good proportions for age. Beautiful head with a lovely expression, bright, shiny eyes. Excellent length of neck flowing into good shoulders. Body is well constructed with good depth and substance for age. Bone is good and feet are neat and compact.

Moved soundly and confidently, showing good reach and drive for a puppy. Best mover. Her coat is still developing. Temperament is delightful, happy, and confident, making this youngster a pleasure to assess. A puppy of real quality and presence, and a most worthy Best Puppy in Show winner. Wish her well for the future 

2nd, Mr J Jenkinson & Chloe Burns - Reginal Rippe Russet Gold - Hungarian Vizsla

Looking at his date of birth in the catalogue he may have been in the wrong class unless there was a misprint. Happy and exuberant 1 year old male. Pleasing head with kind yet mischievous eye. Good length of neck flowing into well placed shoulders. On the move today he tended to crab slightly going away. He side profile he showed correct length of stride. I feel he would benefit from a larger ring and a little more lead. 

AV Belgian Shepard Dog 

1st Miss L Jefferson - Chrisvale Angel of Music at Woodfox - Belgian Shepherd female almost 4 years. A quality mature bitch of good breed type. Presents a well-balanced and elegant outline with pleasing proportions. Feminine head with an alert expression, dark eye, and well-set ears. Good length of neck flowing smoothly into well-laid shoulders. Strong all through with good depth of chest and well-developed body. Bone is appropriate and feet are tight and compact.

Movement was sound in profile, showing good reach and drive, though she did pace slightly on her second go round today which detracted from overall fluidity. Temperament is steady and attentive, and she was handled well. A well-constructed, honest bitch who shows many virtues and is presented in excellent condition.

AV Collie

1st, Mrs H & Miss I Allsopp - Aqualita Majestic - Rough Collie. RBIS

An outstanding male of excellent breed type and quality. Presents a beautiful, well-balanced outline with correct proportions and great presence. Superb head with classic expression, well-shaped eye, giving the desired intelligent and gentle look. Excellent length of neck flowing into well-placed shoulders. Strong and powerful all through with good depth of chest and well-sprung ribs. Body is well constructed and held in excellent condition. He moved with purpose and style, showing smooth, effortless action with good reach and drive. Temperament is exemplary, calm and attentive, making him a pleasure to judge. 

Shown in fabulous condition and expertly handled. A dog of real quality and ring presence who fully deserved his Reserve Best in Show award.

BOXER

1st, J Marina Mallushah Murdra Ahoy At Marinbox. 6 months old male.

A happy and enthusiastic puppy who clearly enjoyed his first outing in the ring. Shows a cheerful temperament and was keen to engage with his handler throughout. Head is developing with a good expression. Body is quite mature for his age, and when he stood still he showed a nice outline. Bone is adequate and feet are tidy. A raw youngster who is still very much a work in progress, but a pleasant puppy to assess and well handled on his debut.

Shetland Sheepdog

1st, Mr D, Mrs H & Miss I Allsopp- Grandgenus She Has The Look 

 A very pretty female who is presented and handled to perfection. Feminine head with a sweet expression, dark eye, and well-placed ears. Good length of neck flowing into well-placed shoulders. Body is well proportioned with a correct topline and good depth for size. Bone is adequate. Coat was in great condition. For me she is on the smaller side of the standard, but she makes the most of her virtues in the ring. Movement was sound and true, and her excellent temperament and outstanding handling allowed her to show to best advantage. A charming bitch with many pleasing qualities. The young handler was calm, kind and attentive with her dog. You could see a clear bond between them. I am sure the handler will have great success handling in the future. Well done. Keep up the great work 

Lhasa Apso Open 

1st, Mr P Thornhill - Swandown Snowstorm - BIS 

2 1/2 year old male. A well-balanced, sturdy male of excellent type, heavily coated without excess. Gay and assertive in character, alert and steady expression. Head furnishings fall lightly over the eyes his head is moderately narrow with slight rounding behind the eyes, straight foreface with medium stop. Dark, medium good shaped eyes. Muzzle and skull proportionate, preferred bite. Forequarters well laid back, straight and heavily furnished; body longer than tall with a level topline, strong loin, well-sprung ribs, compact and balanced. Hindquarters muscular and well-angulated. Feet round and neat, good tail set and well carried over the back. Movement free, showman-like and effortless. Coat long and straight, and shown in excellent condition. A male of exceptional quality and breed type. My pleasure to award him of Best in Show.

2nd, Mrs E Holgate - Pippleen Starlight Warrior 

A mature and charming bitch slightly showing her age. Feminine head with kind expression, dark eyes and well-set ears. Neck and shoulders adequate, body longer than tall with a level topline. Hindquarters well angulated. Feet neat, tail correctly set. Movement steady and honest. Coat in fair condition. Gentle temperament, handled beautifully, and a pleasure to assess. A delightful older lady who still shows breed type and character. BVIS 

AV DACHSHUND 

1st, Mrs A Lombardelli - D’Arisca Distinctive Of Kelmbeck

Almost 4 year old, red female of good quality. A well-proportioned, compact female of correct type, moderately long in body with enough ground clearance for free movement. Bold, intelligent expression, alert and lively in temperament. Head long and conical with slightly arched skull, dark almond-shaped eyes. Neck long and muscular, flowing into well-placed shoulders. Forequarters strong and correctly angled; feet neat and straight. Ribs are well developed, and her loin is strong. . Hindquarters broad and muscular, good tail set. Movement free, flowing, and driven from the hindquarters. Coat dense, short, and smooth. Considered for top honours. Many positive attributes, a sound dog

10 years old dog. What a credit to his owner. He clearly was enjoying his time in the show ring and never out a foot wrong. A charming, mature male in excellent condition. Balanced and compact with a kind expression, dark eyes. Body and topline still sound, movement steady and true. Gentle temperament, handled beautifully, showing his age gracefully.

2nd. Beautiful quality and temperament, show in excellent condition. Teeth still very clean and white. Pleasing head and dark eye. Coat was smooth and shining. Well balanced and strong all through. Handled sympathetically, a clear special bond between dog and handler. Totally belies her 11 years. A credit to her owner

1st, J Marina, Akateal Keep The Faith With Marinbox - Chinese Crested

A well-proportioned, 18 month male with alert and mischievous expression, and well-set ears. Well balanced all through with good muscle, straight forequarters and strong hindquarters. Movement free and light. His movement won him the class. Confident temperament, handled beautifully.

1st, Mrs R Green, Banacek Annalisa With Samorrey- Bolognese 

A little superstar who was handled well and with kindness. I really admired this female puppy of 11 months. Well balanced of correct size. Stood square. She had a compact outline with good - developing white coat. Her expression was eye catching. Intelligent and companionable, friendly but almost mischievous. Pleasing head with dark eyes and high-set, ears. Good neck into well-laid shoulders, straight forelegs, and well-sprung ribs. Would prefer a little more weight. Hindquarters muscled with moderate stifle, oval feet, and tail carried well over back. Her movement was brisk, parallel, and true. She came alive on the move and showed herself really well. Her sound movement won her RBPIS
