Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at your show. I thoroughly enjoyed my judging and thank you to my two lovely stewards who kept my ring running smoothly.

English Setters

Junior (2e)

1st Wynne – Evans Droveborough one love B Still a puppy and developing nicely. Pretty feminine head with soft eye and expression, correct bite, deep chest, straight front with enough bone and neat feet. short coupled moved well holding outline BP

2nd Thackers peritye follow the sun D well-shaped young dog with a well-proportioned head and dark, well-shaped eyes. Straight, well-boned front with good fore chest. Moderately neck Deep chest with good length of rib, short coupled. Moved out well and happily, carrying an ever-wagging tail. 

Postgraduate (3e)

1st Beasleys Latjeata cup of kindness JW Neat, feminine head with a moderately long neck flowing into well-laid shoulders. Well boned throughout, with good length of rib and a short, level body. Good width to thigh with strong muscling. Moved well. RBOB

2nd Wynne- Evans Drove borough blue pearl B Darker bitch with a strong head, set on a short neck. Well boned throughout, with deep, well-sprung ribs. Short in body with a level topline. Good width to thigh and moved out with drive.

1st Williams Richecca Midwinter D Lovely boy. Well boned with a straight front and good feet. Moderate length of neck flowing into a good layback. Deep chest with moderate spring of rib, short-coupled with a level topline. Broad, well-developed thighs, which he used well to drive around the ring. BOB

2nd Deering Pettifox of rosetimber B Smaller sized but feminine bitch. Balanced feminine head of correct proportions, set on a moderate neck. Enough spring of rib, short-backed into a well-developed thigh. Moved well and happily around the ring.

1st Bowen Clandrift funky angel B A quality youngster with a lot to like. Balanced feminine head. Doesn’t have as much in front as I would like but still has time to develop. Is deep and long through the ribs. Moved happily and with drive.

Postgraduate

1st Bell Curlycrests sweet home Chicago (imp Nor) JW D His head is beautifully balanced with a broad skull and lovely chiselling. Correct eye placement and colour. Very good in front with good depth of brisket and plenty of heart and lung room. Excellent forechest. Good width and strength behind, well bent stifles, hocks well let down. Fabulous tail action and carried well. Pleased to award him BOB

1st Bowens Ch Clandrift bring me sunshine JW KCWGC SGWC ShCEx OSW A strong and upstanding dog He is impressive on the stack and is longer than tall. Well laid shoulders and good length and return of upper arm. Deep chest, well sprung ribs, level topline held well on the move. Masculine head with correct proportions well shaped ears, dark eyes. Moves on an effortless stride. RBOB

Puppy (3e1a)

1st Williams Fourseasons mix and match B A very raw puppy with a novice handler but lovely cobby body with good length of leg and enough bone. Head needs to develop but has time. Moved happily and with drive holding a level topline BP

2nd Warringtons Chezzas all because of you Zakova B another nice bitch at a different stage. Head also needs to mature but on moderate neck set on well laid back shoulders. Enough bone rear has good width. Moved erratic today but surface and age did not help. 

Junior (1e)

1st Warringtons Zakove sugar candy B Loved this bitch. Gorgeous head with good amount of brain room, deep muzzle to give the correct proportions. with the most melting of expressions. set on good length of neck and good layback to shoulders. Straight front with neat tight feet. Deep chest with well sprung ribs. Short coupled giving her that lovely cobby outline. Well-developed thighs which she used to drive around the ring with wagging tail. BOB and Group 4

1st Lundin Omennes don’t stop me now B A very nice bitch who has a pretty head and a soft expression in her well-shaped dark eyes. She has depth and a well-developed chest, cobby in body wide well-developed thighs moved well

Open (4e2a)

1st Covington Delightful hunter legendary at silverdust JW D He has a lovely masculine but not overdone with such an appealing expression. He is typical of the standard with his well laid, shoulders, deep chest, good ribbing, strong loin and wide well-developed quarters. Moved out well and with drive. RBOB

2nd Warrington Zakova wise guy JW D A stronger masculine headed boy. Good length of neck set on well laid back shoulders, well boned, deep chest and well sprung rib. Short body, well developed rear moved out well.
