Shetland Sheepdog

Puppy

1st Grandgenes Scintillating, 6 mths Very pleasing example of the breed, combining elegance with sound construction and true Sheltie character. Attractive, sweet head with well-balanced proportions, correctly shaped muzzle and a gentle, intelligent expression so typical of the breed. Ears well placed and used to advantage, enhancing overall expression.

Possesses a good scope of body with correct proportions, adequate depth and a balanced outline. Neck of sufficient length flowing into well-placed shoulders, firm topline and well-developed hindquarters. Presented in excellent coat and condition, with correct texture and furnishings adding to the overall picture.

Temperament was exemplary throughout, showing confidence, attentiveness and the willing disposition expected of the breed. Particularly impressive on the move, covering the ground with a fluent, effortless gait while maintaining balance and outline. Moved freely and soundly in all directions, a little more maturity and she would have won BOB

2nd Shezaray Queen of Hearts, Correctly proportioned head with a sweet expression, although I would prefer a little more fill under the eye to complete the desired wedge shape. Well-presented coat of good texture and shown in clean condition.

Junior

1st Shezaray Queen of Hearts, Correctly proportioned head with a sweet expression, although I would prefer a little more fill under the eye to complete the desired wedge shape. Well-presented coat of good texture and shown in clean condition.

Would benefit from carrying more body and overall substance to enhance the picture. Topline not yet fully developed and could be stronger, particularly when standing and on the move. Feet could be tighter and more compact. Confidence was somewhat lacking on the day, which prevented the exhibit from fully showing its virtues and expressing the alert, intelligent character expected of the breed.

Post Grad 

1st Mohnesse Mr Charming, Presented in good coat and condition, with a correct double coat and ample frill enhancing the overall picture.

Would benefit from a little more length of neck to give a smoother transition into the shoulders and create a more elegant outline when standing. Front movement was slightly wider than ideal when coming towards, although remained steady and controlled. Moved true overall, particularly on the return, maintaining a sound and balanced action. In profile, held a pleasing outline and covered the ground efficiently.

Good body proportions, substance and bone appropriate to size, with a firm topline and well-carried tail. Temperament typical of the breed, showing intelligence and attentiveness throughout the assessment.

2nd Di'Leilas Sheltie Amore Mia, Presented in good coat and condition, with a well-maintained jacket and attractive markings. Showed with a gentle, willing temperament and possessed the characteristic elegance associated with the breed.

Head would benefit from greater length and refinement to fully achieve the desired wedge shape, and I would prefer a little more neck to enhance overall balance and carriage. Ears could be used to better advantage and be more correctly placed and carried to complete the typical Sheltie expression. Front action could be cleaner, although overall construction remains sound.

Good depth of body with adequate substance for size, firm topline and well-carried tail. Moved steadily around the ring, maintaining a pleasing outline in profile. Possesses many of the qualities expected of the breed and, despite the points noted, remains a worthy representative

1st Multi Ch Tooralie Pie In The Sky, presented in immaculate condition and a credit to its owner. Clean throughout with a well-groomed coat of correct texture, enhancing the overall picture. Attractive head and expression with dark eyes and alert ear carriage, although I would prefer a slightly broader skull to more closely match my ideal.

Good neck and shoulders leading into a firm topline, with adequate substance and bone for size. Stood balanced and maintained a pleasing outline, though I would have liked a little more overall balance throughout to complete the picture. Well angulated fore and aft, allowing for efficient movement.

Moved true both coming and going, with a sound, effortless gait and good coordination. Maintained its shape well on the move and showed willingly throughout the class. Temperament was typical of the breed, attentive and responsive to its handler.

2nd Pathaaron After The Storm, decent shape and overall balance. Presents a typical outline with good proportions and breed character. Correct head properties with the desired wedge shape, complemented by well-placed ears carried correctly, contributing to a sweet and attentive expression. Presented in good coat and condition, with appropriate texture and furnishings.

Good neck and topline, with sufficient substance for size. Would prefer a little more width through the front to complete the overall picture and provide a stronger forehand appearance. Tail set was somewhat higher than preferred, slightly detracting from the desired flowing outline.

Moved soundly and maintained balance in profile, showing a willing attitude throughout.

Welsh Pembroke Corgi

Grad 

1st Hartonpoint Blue Lagoon, 2 yrs old reasonable balance and a typical outline. Good overall proportions with correct bone for the breed and sufficient substance without becoming coarse. Firm topline maintained both standing and on the move, contributing to a sound overall picture.

Head of acceptable proportions with alert expression and well-carried ears. Would prefer more fill beneath the eyes to enhance the desired foxy appearance and complete the head qualities. Neck of adequate length leading into well-placed shoulders, with a strong body and good ribbing.

Moved true both coming and going, maintaining soundness and purpose in action. Carried itself well in the ring and demonstrated the steady, workmanlike movement

Open 

1st Twinan Raise Your Game, Balanced and well-made Pembroke Welsh Corgi, presenting a pleasing outline and good overall breed type. Firm in body with a strong topline and good substance for size. Decent front assembly with adequate forechest, supported by good bone and feet. Head of correct proportions with sufficient fill, complemented by correctly sized and carried ears which contributed to a typical alert and intelligent expression.

Well constructed throughout with good ribbing and a strong hindquarter. Moved true both coming and going, maintaining a firm topline and displaying the free, purposeful action expected of the breed. Showed soundness and balance on the move, making the most of its construction.

Presented in good coat and condition and showed with the confidence and character

2nd Modlen Mair, Correct head properties with good proportions, complemented by well-set, correctly carried ears that contribute to the keen and intelligent expression so characteristic of the breed. Presented in good coat and condition and showed willingly throughout.

Good bone and substance for size, with a balanced outline and adequate depth of body. Moved soundly, maintaining breed type on the move. Would prefer a stronger, firmer topline to enhance the overall picture and tail carriage was higher than ideal, detracting slightly from the desired outline.

GSD

Open 

1st Paluka Bail, of pleasing breed type with an overall sound and workmanlike appearance. Correct head proportions with good length of muzzle and skull, giving the desired clean, noble expression. Tight-fitting lips and good pigmentation complemented the head qualities. Ears of correct size and carriage, carried well and contributing to the typical breed outline.

Good neck flowing into excellent shoulder placement, allowing for a balanced front assembly. Body of good proportions with sufficient depth and substance, supported by strong quarters. Presented in fit condition with good muscle tone throughout.

Moved true both coming and going, maintaining balance and coordination. Displayed sound movement with good ground coverage and purpose, holding a pleasing outline in profile. Would prefer slightly firmer feet to complete the picture, but this did not detract significantly from the overall quality

2nd Swnynant Icon JW, displaying good breed type and overall balance. Head of good length with a keen, intelligent expression, although I would prefer a little less breadth through the skull to more closely match my ideal. Good neck and overall substance, with adequate bone and musculature throughout.

Slightly longer in body than preferred, though maintaining a pleasing outline. Topline flowed well overall, although I would favour a little more length and finish to the croup. Forehand and hindquarters were balanced, but would benefit from firmer pasterns and tighter, more compact feet to complete the picture.

Moved soundly and with purpose, showing the athleticism expected of the breed. Temperament was confident and steady throughout assessment. 

BSD Terv

Grad

1st Luavjans Moulin Rouge, presenting a balanced outline and good overall breed type. Head of correct length with a pleasing expression, although I would prefer a broader skull to more closely match my ideal. Well presented and shown in good condition, with correct coat texture and colouring enhancing the overall picture.

Good neck flowing into reasonably well-laid shoulders, allowing for adequate reach in profile movement. Topline held well and body proportions were in keeping with the breed standard. Sound in construction with sufficient bone and substance while retaining the elegance and athleticism expected of the breed.

On the move, would benefit from settling in front, as front action was not always as composed as desired. Nevertheless, maintained a pleasing outline and moved with purpose. Temperament was correct, displaying the alert, intelligent and attentive nature

Groenendael

Open

1st Revloch Kasanova, Outstanding veteran of 11 years, presented in superb condition and a real credit to owner and breeder. Instantly appealed for breed type, balance and quality. Possesses an excellent, beautifully chiselled head with the clean lines and intelligent expression so characteristic of the breed. In fact, she reminded me strongly of a dog I had the pleasure of showing some years ago and I would not be surprised to find that influence present within her pedigree.

Correct in scope and proportions, giving the desired square outline. Good neck flowing into well-placed shoulders, with adequate strength throughout. Pasterns were satisfactory and supported her well. Particularly pleasing bone for a bitch of this quality, providing substance without sacrificing elegance.

Moved true both coming and going, maintaining her outline and carriage throughout. Still displaying the soundness, presence and ring awareness one would hope to see in a veteran of this age. Coat was in excellent order and completed the overall picture.

Pumi

1st Schnaubern Gakyid Star, decent overall shape and balanced outline. Presents a typical silhouette with good proportions and sufficient substance. Particularly pleasing in head properties, being broad without coarseness and complemented by good bone throughout, giving a strong and workmanlike appearance.

Presented in good condition and showing many of the characteristics expected of the breed. Moved soundly and maintained a balanced outline on the move. At times lacked some confidence in the ring, which prevented the exhibit from fully displaying its qualities and natural presence. With increased ring experience and self-assurance, could present an even stronger picture.

1st Tin Tin Kopieccy Poland, presenting a balanced and harmonious outline with true breed type throughout. Correct head proportions with a keen, friendly expression and well-carried ears, giving the characteristic alert appearance expected of the breed. Tailset correct and carried well, completing a very pleasing silhouette.

Well constructed throughout, with good neck and shoulder placement flowing smoothly into a firm topline and well-developed hindquarters. Demonstrated excellent balance both standing and on the move, with all parts blending together effortlessly. Coat of good texture and presented in excellent condition, enhancing the overall picture without detracting from the natural outline.

Movement was a particular strength, free, flowing and effortless, covering the ground with ease while maintaining excellent balance and coordination. Moved true coming and going, with good reach in front and drive from behind, displaying the soundness and agility required of this active working breed.

2nd Surfseys bera Fra Sjalandi, Very promising 8-month-old Icelandic Sheepdog of pleasing breed type and overall balance. A youngster with much to like, presenting a smooth, flowing outline and displaying many of the characteristics expected of the breed. Attractive expression with head still developing, as one would expect at this age, and likely to strengthen and mature with time. Well-set ears and alert demeanour contribute to the typical Nordic appearance.

Full of energy, enthusiasm and character, showing the happy, friendly temperament that is so important in the breed. Moved freely and smoothly, maintaining a pleasing outline and displaying good coordination for one so young. Coat appropriate for age and presented in good condition.

At times youthful exuberance got the better of this exhibit and a little more ring schooling will help bring all the elements together and allow its many virtues to shine more consistently.

Puppy 

1st Railtown Aura, Smart, athletic female of pleasing breed type, presenting a clean and balanced outline. On the taller side for a bitch and slightly longer in body than ideal, but retains the overall impression of an elegant and functional working dog. Presented in excellent hard condition, displaying good muscle tone and fitness throughout.

Feminine head with correct proportions, good planes and an alert, intelligent expression. Neck of sufficient length flowing into well-laid shoulders, with adequate substance and bone without losing femininity. Coat and pigmentation correct for the breed and presented to advantage.

Particularly impressive on the move, covering the ground with ease and efficiency. Moved true both coming and going, maintaining a clean outline and demonstrating the soundness and athleticism expected of the breed. Showed good coordination and balance with positive drive and purpose.

Would prefer stronger pasterns to complete the forehand construction

2nd Bryning Highland Scout, 6 mth good overall balance and breed type. Correct head proportions with an intelligent, attentive expression, reflecting the keen character expected of the breed. Decent body and bone, providing sufficient substance while retaining the athletic appearance essential to a working dog. Presented in good condition and showed a willing attitude throughout the class.

Well proportioned throughout with a sound outline and adequate depth of body. Moved true when assessed both coming and going, demonstrating sound construction. At present would benefit from a little more ring experience and schooling to allow movement to flow more freely and confidently, as this prevented the dog from fully showing its capabilities on the move.

Junior

1st Tairaz Drumbeat for Lyngem, 12 mths a well-balanced outline and good overall body proportions. Correct head qualities with a typical expression, displaying the breed's characteristic intelligent and enquiring look. Presented in good coat and condition, with coat texture and presentation enhancing the overall picture.

Good depth and length of body, giving a balanced and functional appearance. Moved true both coming and going, with a fluent, easy gait that demonstrated sound construction and good coordination. Maintained a pleasing outline on the move and showed the free-flowing action so important in the breed.

Possesses a typical temperament, showing willingly and confidently throughout the class. A sound and honest exhibit

1st Shepwood Gazing at Klouds JW, presented in good condition and possessing many of the breed's characteristic qualities. Correct bone and well-shaped feet, providing a sound foundation. Pleasing overall proportions with sufficient substance and athletic appearance. Head of good proportions, although I would prefer a little more fill under the eye to complete the desired expression.

Neck of adequate length leading into well-placed shoulders, with a firm body and good muscling throughout. Topline would benefit from greater strength to enhance the overall picture and maintain a more consistent outline. Coat was of correct texture and presentation, complementing the breed's natural appearance.

A smart mover, covering the ground efficiently and demonstrating sound construction. However, would like to see a little more edge, animation and enthusiasm in both performance and ring presence to fully capture the breed's characteristic alertness and energy. 

2nd Mellowdee Soul Man with Lexalby, exhibiting good breed type and a balanced overall outline. Strong, squarely built dog with good substance and bone, presented in excellent coat and condition. Correct head proportions with a characteristic expression, well carried ears and a confident, typical demeanour.

Good neck and body proportions with adequate depth and ribbing. Coat of correct texture and quality, well prepared and enhancing the breed's distinctive appearance. Moved true both coming and going, maintaining balance and soundness throughout. Would prefer a little more bend of stifle and stronger rear angulation to provide greater drive and power from behind.

Well constructed with sufficient neck leading into correctly placed shoulders, level topline and good depth of body. Balanced angulation front and rear contributed to a harmonious picture both standing and on the move. Well muscled throughout, demonstrating excellent physical fitness and sound overall construction. Compact, neat in outline and displaying the correct shape and proportions expected of the breed. Presented with a well-maintained coat, enhancing the overall breed picture.

Good head properties with a typical expression and alert demeanour. Strong body with sufficient substance and a firm topline. Excellent tail carriage, correctly set and carried, contributing to the balanced silhouette. Moved true both coming and going, maintaining accuracy of footfall and a pleasing profile on the move.

Showed well throughout with typical breed character and confidence. While possessing many virtues, lacked the animation and vigour of the first-placed exhibit on the day

1st Uyak Super Storm Sloane, pleasing breed type with good substance and overall presence. Correct head proportions with well-set ears and a strong, well-developed underjaw, contributing to the typical expression expected of the breed. Presented in good coat and condition, displaying the strength and dignity characteristic of a mature Malamute.

Well boned throughout with adequate depth and substance. Would prefer greater return of upper arm to improve forehand construction and overall balance. Topline tended to be somewhat soft, and body length was longer than ideal, detracting slightly from the compact, powerful outline sought in the breed.

1st Callowdale Drummer Boy, Promising young Tibetan Mastiff of good breed type and overall balance. Presents a pleasing outline with correct proportions and a strong, broad head that is already showing many of the characteristics expected of the breed. Well constructed throughout with a firm, level topline and excellent feet, which provide a sound foundation.

Moved true both coming and going, maintaining balance and stability on the move. Good bone and substance for age, although still somewhat raw in body and requiring further maturity to fully develop into the impressive adult expected of the breed. This is understandable at the current stage of development and should improve with time.

Showed a typical temperament, remaining composed and dignified. Would benefit from additional ring experience and schooling to gain confidence and make the most of its many attributes. 

Open 

1st Ch Callowdale Easy Street. Impressive 8-year-old veteran presented in excellent condition and a credit to its owner for maintaining such fitness, coat quality and overall presentation. A substantial exhibit with good breed character and a dignified presence, standing over the ground with the calm and aloof demeanour expected of the breed.

Head of good proportions with a pleasing expression, although I would prefer a little more width of skull to enhance breed type. Eye rims could be better defined to complete the desired expression. Strong neck leading into balanced fore and aft angulation; however, would prefer a little more angulation at both ends to improve overall balance and efficiency of movement. Lacks some return of upper arm which affects front extension.

Pleasing front assembly in terms of correctness, standing on true forelegs with good pasterns and sound feet. Body of good substance with adequate depth and ribbing, maintaining a balanced outline. Coat of correct texture and presented in excellent order.

1st Lupacchiottos Street Cred by Lupinemoon, Promising 7-month-old Siberian Husky puppy with a pleasingly balanced outline and many breed virtues already evident. Well proportioned for age, showing good overall construction and a moderate appearance in keeping with the breed standard. Head displays correct planes, although still requiring time to settle and mature, which is entirely expected at this stage of development. Keen expression with correctly placed ears contributing to typical breed character.

Firm topline maintained both standing and on the move, with a correct tailset completing the outline. Tight, well-knuckled feet were particularly pleasing and indicative of sound construction. Would prefer a little more width through the front to enhance overall balance and forehand development as maturity progresses.

Moved true both coming and going, demonstrating soundness and coordination for one so young. Carried itself confidently and showed well throughout.

Open 

1st Atlanticbreeze Bailey by Lupinemoon JW, presented in excellent condition with good muscle tone and overall fitness. Pleasing breed type with a balanced outline and proportions typical of the breed. Correct head properties with well-set ears and an attractive fox-like expression that immediately identifies the breed. Alert and attentive throughout the assessment.

Balanced angulation front and rear, contributing to a harmonious overall picture. Would benefit from greater width and development through the chest together with more depth of brisket to enhance substance and strength. Tailset could be lower to better complement the desired outline. In profile movement lacked extension at both ends, preventing the free, effortless gait expected of the breed from being fully realised.

1st Hightimbers Oreo Cookie, Well-balanced 3-year-old Hovawart presenting a smooth, flowing outline and excellent overall breed type. Strong yet elegant in appearance, with a correct head displaying good proportions and typical expression. Presented in excellent condition, with a well-maintained coat and evident muscle tone throughout.

Topline was particularly pleasing, remaining hard, firm and level both standing and on the move. Good depth and substance without coarseness, with correct feet contributing to a sound overall construction. Would prefer darker, more almond-shaped eyes, as the eyes were somewhat round and light, slightly detracting from the desired expression.

Moved true and fluent in all directions, covering the ground with ease and maintaining balance throughout. Demonstrated the effortless, ground-covering movement expected of the breed, with good coordination and carriage. Temperament was steady and confident, showing the calm, self-assured nature characteristic of the breed.

Sylvia Wright Yearling Stakes 

1st Amazing White a Story with a Tail at Armardio, Quality Basset Hound presented in excellent condition and shown to advantage. A typical exhibit with good breed character, possessing the substance and balance expected of the breed. Head a particular strength, with correct proportions, excellent eyes and well-developed folds, creating the desired noble and gentle expression. Long, well-set ears completing the overall picture.

Balanced angulation front and rear contributed to a pleasing outline. Good depth and substance throughout, with adequate bone and body. Coat presented in first-class condition and musculature evident throughout. Would prefer a firmer topline, which tended to soften and detracted slightly from an otherwise pleasing profile.

Moved with purpose and maintained breed type on the move, displaying the steady, effortless action expected.

2nd Nowitna Cee Your a Klassic at Kwangchow JW, Presented in good coat and condition, with a balanced outline and sufficient substance. Head displayed the correct overall shape and expression, with ears well carried and contributing to the breed's distinctive appearance.

Body proportions were in keeping with the standard, with adequate bone and a firm frame. Coat of acceptable texture and presentation. Moved steadily, maintaining breed type and showing the characteristic action expected of the breed

Tommy Hall Puppy Stakes

1st Cilleine Last Wicket For Spariero, Very promising 11-month-old Griffon youngster who immediately catches the eye with his excellent shape and outline. Full of breed type and character, presenting a well-balanced picture for one so young. Attractive head with the desired expression, good bone and substance throughout without losing refinement.

Presented in super coat and condition, with correct texture and excellent presentation enhancing his many virtues. Well constructed and standing on good feet, maintaining a pleasing outline both standing and on the move. Moved true coming and going with a positive, balanced action, covering the ground well and holding his shape throughout.

His young handler clearly shares an excellent rapport with him and got the very best from him on the day, presenting him sympathetically and confidently. Showed with enthusiasm and confidence throughout, making the most of his many qualities. 

2nd Siegers Touch Too Much at Cuandor, xcellent example of a ESS combining quality, balance and breed type. Presented a very pleasing outline with excellent shape and style, standing over the ground correctly and displaying the symmetry expected of the breed. Attractive head with correct proportions, kind expression and well-set ears, contributing to a thoroughly typical appearance.

Well constructed throughout with good neck and shoulder placement, firm topline and strong hindquarters. Good depth of chest and well-ribbed body, carrying the correct amount of substance without any exaggeration. Presented in excellent coat and condition, enhancing the overall picture.

Particularly impressive on the move, covering the ground with ease and purpose. Moved cleanly and true both coming and going, maintaining a level topline and balanced profile action. Demonstrated the reach and drive expected

Pastoral Group 

1st Liskarn You Never Know with Jenkova Very promising 11-month-old Australian Shepherd with much to admire. A youngster of good breed type displaying plenty of bone and substance without losing overall balance or athleticism. Attractive head with a keen, intelligent expression, correct proportions and good ear carriage. Well-presented and shown in excellent condition, a credit to the owner and handler.

Possesses a pleasing outline with a firm topline and good body for age. Still maturing throughout and has time very much on its side, with further development likely to enhance the overall picture. Good coat texture and presentation, with sufficient substance and muscle tone for one so young.

Particularly impressive in profile movement, where this exhibit excels, covering the ground with ease and maintaining a balanced outline. Demonstrated good reach and drive, moving with purpose and the effortless action expected of the breed. Showed with confidence and enthusiasm throughout.
